Satisfied with the college, campus, and placements. Nice suggestion.
Placements: BVCOEW provides plenty of placement opportunities for students. Above 85% of students are placed every year from every branch. The average package is 6 Lacs p.a. Top companies that recruit students are Persistent, TCS, Cognizant, Atos, VOIS, etc. All the students of the 3rd year are provided with internship opportunities in different companies including Persistent and Cognizant.
Infrastructure: The college has all the essential facilities including clean toilets on every floor, comfortable desks for students, smartboards in every classroom, all machinery and tools needed in laboratories and computer labs. Students also have two libraries to issue books and a reading hall which stays open till the evening. The college consists of a canteen which provides food at any college hour. The quality of food is good in the canteen and hostel mess. Hostels also have all the facilities- Wi-Fi, hygienic washrooms, maids, proper security, and three meals a day. Proper security is taken in the hostel by having 3 watchmen and face recognition for hostel entry. Also, the campus contains a huge ground to play a variety of sports including cricket, volleyball, basketball, and other sports.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and are very helpful to the students. They complete the syllabus on time and clear doubts of students. The course curriculum is based on the Pune University curriculum (SPPU), and it has 2 exams per semester: the insem exam and endsem exam. These two exams decide the marks of the students. Excluding these 2 university exams, our college conducts unit tests, assignments, and practicals for students to get ready. The pass percentage is 40% in each subject.
Other: I chose this course as this course is under SPPU, one of the top universities in India. And the college BVCOEW is also one of the top colleges in Pune city. Also, different fests are held on the campus. BVCOEW has events every year which includes cultural fests, technical events, and camps.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the placement team and their efforts.
Placements: About 98% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Thoughtworks, Amazon, IDFY, Neilsoniq, etc. Almost 50% of students got internships on their own. The college does not provide internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is fine. Labs and classrooms are well maintained, but there is no Wi-Fi. Students have to bring their own devices. Classrooms are denied access to digital facilities like projectors. The campus is green and lush, but the college is not worth it.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but some of them can be very strict. The course curriculum is relevant, but it completely depends on students and how they make use of it. Semesters are a little difficult, but almost everyone passes.
Other: There are no fests or extracurricular activities.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty member, good placements in 2023-24, and facilities are good.
Placements: 60 to 70% of students have been placed in our batch until now. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA offered to the students. The top recruiting companies are IBM, Amdocs, Standard Chartered, TCS, and Capgemini. Some students get internships at IIT Roorkee, NIH, Oracle, Capgemini, and other companies. Software engineer, Devops engineer, data analyst, data scientist, front-end developer, and back-end developer are the roles offered for students.
Infrastructure: Facilities given by college are water purifier, sports fields, labs, big classrooms with smart TVS with connected wi-fi, etc. The hostel facilities are also good; the mess provides healthy food on time, RO-purified water, and a breathable garden in front of the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams conducted by the college are tough; the passing criteria is that you have to pass in the semester with 12 marks and end the semester with 28 marks. So the total of both is 40 to pass the examination.

I am satisfied with good placements offered by the college.
Placements: Our college is good placement-wise. Many big companies offer thousands of jobs per year. Campus placement occurs per year. Overall, it is a good college and has a good campus. College offers good training for placements. So it is very beneficial for students to get placed.
Infrastructure: The college hostel is average because it doesn't have separate washroom for each room. Otherwise, it is good. The mess of the college hostel is also good. The food served is healthy and tasty. Strictness is provided for girls. Security-wise, it is also good. So overall, the hostel is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. The college makes students industry-ready. So placement happens in the fourth year. College semester exams look easy because syllabus is covered as per time. The passing percentage for each semester is 35%.
Other: I chose the IT branch because our college has good placements for the IT department. All is good. College provides government scholarships as well as private scholarships as per their knowledge and performance. The college guides the students well.

I am dissatisfied because of bad placements in 2021.
Placements: Approximately 50-60% of the students got placed from the 2021 batch. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.15 LPA. Our college provides good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: There are 120 students in our branch, and all the places are filled. Many top companies such as Infosys, Persistent, TCS, and Wipro visit the campus for recruitment. The placement ratio is good for the computer branch but for ENtC it is quite less. Many internship offers are started from 2nd year itself.
Infrastructure: There are five hostels in our college. All the hostel facilities are good. Canteens are available on campus. But the quality of the food served is not that good. A medical hospital is there for our college. There are huge facilities for sports. Many courts are available. There is a sports team for our college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are awesome and well-experienced with more than 15 years. The teaching is also good. They provide us with knowledge other than academics. The teaching is also good. The course curriculum is good, but it does not make students industry-ready completely. It depends on us.
Other: It is a good campus, and we can go anywhere at any time. Extracurricular activities are also held. Fests are organised every year and participation is a must. There are ample of competitions and competitors from various colleges.

The college also considers the candidate's academic record in 12th standard for admission to B.Tech programs.

Here's a breakdown of the admission process for B.Tech programs at BVCOE:

  1. Eligibility: Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (12th standard) with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Additionally, they must have appeared for either the MHT-CET or the JEE Main.

  2. Shortlisting: Based on their entrance exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for further consideration. The minimum percentile requirement for shortlisting varies depending on the specialisation and the year of admission. Typically, the percentile requirement ranges from 70% to 80% for MHT-CET and from 7000 to 10,000 for JEE Main.

  3. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling sessions, where their merit, entrance exam scores, and personal interviews are evaluated. During counseling, candidates interact with faculty members and representatives from various departments to gain insights into the programs and make informed decisions.

  4. Final Selection: Based on their overall performance in the counseling process, candidates are selected for admission to the B.Tech program. The final selection considers factors such as academic excellence, technical aptitude, communication skills, teamwork abilities, and overall suitability for the program.

While the admission process is primarily entrance-based, BVCOE also considers the academic merit of candidates. A strong academic record in 12th standard can strengthen a candidate's application and increase their chances of selection. Additionally, candidates should prepare diligently for the entrance exams to secure high scores and improve their chances of admission.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
