Joining BIT, Durg? Check this.
Placements: In 2022, almost 95% of students were placed from the CS/IT branch. The data for 2023 is not available yet, possibly due to the recession, and the highest placement was 17, the lowest being 3. On average, students secured 4-5 placements. The top recruiters were Cognizant, Accenture, and Capgemini. For other branches, placement numbers were considerably lower, and those who did get placed usually ended up in IT firms.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, and the hostel is decent. However, alternative accommodation is available nearby. The food, both in the mess and canteen, is good. There is no medical room in the college, but basic first aid is accessible. Various sports like cricket, basketball, chess, etc., are available.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful, although many of them lack effective teaching skills. Some teachers, especially in the CS branch, excel in teaching. The curriculum is relevant, focusing on the fundamentals of Computer Science, but it is more theoretical. In the first year, only about 50% of students pass all subjects, with the rest facing backlogs. As students move into their core branches, exams become easier, especially for CS/IT.
Other: I chose this college because it is considered the best private college in Chhattisgarh. I believe the courses should be more practical and less theoretical, with teaching incorporating computers/personal laptops. The events and fests are enjoyable, with numerous clubs for students to join.

It is a decent college with average placements.
Placements: Very few students are placed because of layoffs. The top recruiting company is TCS, as it takes people in bulk. The highest salary package offered is mostly 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Most people achieve very high salary packages in off-campus placements. They get placed in companies like Google, etc. Overall, it is one of the best colleges in CG.
Infrastructure: The quality of the girls' hostel is average. It is not on campus. Food quality is average but needs improvement. Rooms are available with 3 beds in each room.
Faculty: Teachers of the college are well-qualified and helpful. They are always ready to motivate us. The course curriculum is not relevant. We have good labs and experimental setups. Idea lab helps students to execute their practical knowledge.
Other: There are restrictions for outings as in-time can be a maximum of up to 7 PM. You can take nightouts with permission. Our college is small, and it lacks an exploring environment. Very few events are organised.

BIT Durg: decent private college for B.Tech students.
Placements: Decent college placement with an average package that varies from 4-5 lacs; the placement and package are higher among IT/CS students; the highest package ranges from 9–12 LPA; and okayish placement for other branches; the college welcomes campus placement with companies such as TCS, Cognizant and many more .
Infrastructure: BIT Durg is an old college with old infrastructure. Even though it's not advanced like high-end private colleges, its a pretty well-maintained college with decent classrooms, a well-equipped lab and an overall well-maintained, clean and green campus with a natural environment .
Faculty: The best thing about BIT Durg is the course structure: a well-planned course for every branch with each semester equipped with 5 subject courses with 5 chapters each, a balanced course with cooperative faculty, regular classes and strict discipline for attendance .
Other: BIT Durg offers scholarships for merit students, rank holder and top scorers for the semester, with more than a half-fee concession for the semester.

Faculty members are helping and good placements in 2020 were offered.
Placements: In past years, around 95 percent of students were placed in my branch. The highest, lowest, and average packages for the IT branch in my college are INR 20 LPA, INR 3 LPA, and INR 4 LPA, respectively. The top recruiting companies in our college are Infosys, IBM, etc. Around 90 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There is full availability of Wi-Fi and access to the labs and library. Here, the accommodation in the hostel is very good. The taste of the food served in the mess is also very delicious and healthy. The canteen, sports, and medical facilities are also brilliant.
Faculty: Here, the faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. If you have any doubts related to any subject, the faculty members are always ready to help you. Because this college is autonomous, the level of the end-semester exams is of medium difficulty—not too easy, not too hard. The pass percentage is around 80 to 85.

Placements are decreasing as the year passes.
Placements: As placement isn't guaranteed because even IIT doesn't guarantee placement, it's on your own capabilities, so overall placement is far better than any average college. The average package offered is 7 Lacs per annum and the lowest is 3 Lacs per annum. Companies like Wipro, TCS Digital, etc. often visits.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is kind of old but it's a very prestigious institution. As for faculty, they are just wow but attendance is a must. College has Wi-Fi connections in hostels too and we have a library too. Courses are good; you must try and you should give the CG PET exam for entrance into this college.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. professors and provide good education. I must raise them for this because I can understand each and every subject with their help; it seems like it's not hard because of them. Semester exams are of total 1000 marks, I mean the whole year. And grades are given by teachers on your own assessment; you have to gain them .
Other: Actually, I entered through CG PET and in counselling I got only the IT branch and I took it as I wanted to become a software developer, so I chose this college as I am not able to crack JEE Main but this is considered one of the top colleges in Chhattisgarh .
