B.Tech in Information Technology - Batch of 2021

Our college gives very good experience.
Placements: Students who passed out in 2021 got placements at TCS. The recruiting companies were MNCs and sales and marketing companies. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA and the maximum salary package was 11 LPA. Students got internships in various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. They provided lectures and labs to help students gain their skills. Hostel was good but the food served in the hostel was not good. Every department had a different infrastructure.
Faculty: The pass percentage depends on the cut-off. Teachers in our college were helpful. Teaching quality was good. Students have to do self-study for exams so that they understand the syllabus. The course curriculum made students ready for industry.
Other: Everything is good in our college.

A good college for higher studies!
Placements: From seniors what I have known so far is about 50-60% students are placed from campus and rest have some other plans like public sector and GATE for higher studies. People are generally placed in capgemini, TCS, Wipro, etc. And Av. Package is around 6 Lacs out of total students placed for SDE roles. The highest package is 10 Lacs and it also depend upon student to student how well they are performing. For internship there is test conducted in college and only 2-3 companies are coming for internship and about 30-35% are only get internship on campus. One of my senior got internship in Bhilai steel plant and one got offer from IBM.
Infrastructure: The only course which is good in this college in my opinion is CSE/IT. We have full dedicated building and labs are also okay types. Infrastructure is not very up to date standards as it is old college and building are also old but still not that bad, it won't bother in our studies. Labs are good. For CSE specialisation there is no dedicated labs but course are introduced by 2020. I would say if you are getting core CSE or IT just stick to it. Wi-Fi is just for name. The highest speed till date I get is 27Kbps. Mess food is good only on sunday because of special food, rest days its pathetic. Canteen condition is not good but food quality is good. We often go to canteen for samosa chaat, dosa, coffee, tea, sancks, etc. Just in front of shri shankaracharya technical campus there is shankaracharya hospital so no worry for medical facilities. Sports and games are organised very frequently in college recently we had badminton, football and cricket tryouts.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good. They even help for competitive exams and guide you. Govind singh sir is best faculty and in CSE core I have heard of siddharth choubey sir and in for 2nd semester Shashank sir also guided us well. Overall faculty members are well qualified and good in teaching Except few who only teach for sake of teaching, they don't even bother to ask students weather they understood concepts or not. For course curriculum I feel it is little outdated but good for competitive exams like GATE because till 5th sem almost 8 subjects out of 10 for GATE get covered with semester exams. Semester exams follows previous years patterns, so it is quite easy to clear still some subjects feel hard either they are vast in course or because of teachers. To pass a subject one need to clear theory exam that is of 100mm and if it has lab then lab also has different exam and had to be pass. If you fail any of them then you have give backlog for that exam. For theory minimum 35/100 and practical lab 20/50.
Other: I joined Information Technology branch because I was very interested in knowing how this wireless world, programs in computers, phone with tiny processors how all these things works and to be honest my 1st preference was CSE core. But honestly I did't score good to qualify for that so I choose IT over CSE specialisation. Best thing about IT is our faculty members are very good compared to those CSE specialisation fresher faculty members. And we have little less strength of our class (about 25 students only) so we have strong unity in our class so bunking class is not problematic. Things that could be improved in my course are: Attendance criteria is 75%, this should be reduced and give students free time to improve on other skills as well. And some labs are not taken seriously and seems like time waste so I skip those labs, if they are taught properly then it can be very beneficial. Like we had data structures and algorithm subject in 3rd semester with lab. But we were only taught its theory to pass exams its practical lab never happened. Rest everything is okay in my course. As I am from coronavirus online batch so till 2022 I have not seen annual fest SAMVID in person but what I have listened from seniors is its quite good and enjoying. Our college campus greenery is also good and campus surrounding is outer side of city but has shopping malls near to college and scholarship is also given to university toppers and for backward classes scholarship is provided by Chhattisgarh government if enrolled student has domicile Certificate. In extra curriculars I have seen various sports, flash mobs, dance, music, gymnast and some more clubs. Most active clubs are dance and music and coding culture is also sparking from our batch.

Infrastructure: Overall, the facilities are good, it has Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms are good and one can get a library inside the campus. Various kinds of books are available there and the seating area is also very comfortable. The quality of the food is okay though. One can easily have lunch and dinner.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified. They had degrees of Masters and PhD. The quality of teaching is also good. The way they used to teach us is unique. They emphasize more on the understanding part than the theory part. The pass percentage of our college is 70%.

Our college is not good.
Placements: Our college invites mass recruiters, and there is no product-based company. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Around 40% of students got placed in this course.
Infrastructure: Our campus is small for an engineering college. There are 2-3 colleges on 1 campus like SSPU Medical. Our canteen is closed all the time. Washrooms are not clean. Wi-Fi is also enabled. The parking facility is average. Our classrooms are not clean. We can play cricket and basketball in our college.
Faculty: All faculty members are not qualified except a few. They do not teach us anything. We have to study ourselves. The course curriculum is not good.
Other: Fests are not conducted in our college.

It is a very good college in Chhattisgarh.
Placements: Placements are average. Most of the students get a chance to sit in placements and service-based companies are TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure looks nice. It has blocks for each branch including the laboratory. The playground is average. It also has a central library. SSTC campus has 10-12 buildings with 3 storeys in each.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated, and they are Ph.D. scholars. All teachers are eager to teach students but they are not interested. There is an attendance issue in our college. Semester exams are conducted.

First of all, your marks can't define your talent and about college, if you are interested in engineering, first you should know about the different types of branches, and then analysis which one can you handle, and can give your best. Field cannot make your career. Only your interest and hard work
