Absolutely dissatisfied with college life and placements.
Placements: I think in my class there were 53 students, and most of them were placed even though they had a supply. The highest offered is 10,000/month the minimum is 3,000/month, and the average is 5,000. Most of the company names I heard for the first time. I think the only company I know is Federal Bank. There were no students who got internships. I think one student got a civil engineering post, but it’s not from college recruitment.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students actually. Labs are good, but I don't think all the infrastructure was available during my college time. And about classrooms, it’s okay for college students. And the library, I can’t say it was good because we don’t mostly get the books we want. And about the hostel, I was a day scholar, so I don’t know much about it. But from my friend, I heard it was not so good and the food was bad. There is no medical facility, no sports or games, and about the canteen, it was a flop. Nothing was there and many times students got biscuits already eaten by rats.
Faculty: I don’t know about all teachers’ qualifications and all. Some even were rank holders. Even though I don’t like that college, I have to say the teachers are good; they teach us perfectly. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. Some teachers help us in the future. Exams are difficult, but with the help of teachers, the majority of students pass. I think the pass percentage is 80.
Other: I don’t have any say about my course because I don’t really like civil engineering. So, I can’t say the best thing about it. There are so many things to improve because our practical knowledge has to improve. As a civil engineer, we need to have practical knowledge instead of theoretical knowledge. We won’t get anywhere by only knowing theories. If I have to talk about events, our college didn’t conduct many events and fests; it was okay. Campus life is an utter flop. Yes, they support extracurricular activities, but not much. They only give importance to study.

I am not satisfied because of events, sports, extracurricular activities, and campus life.
Placements: Around 20% of students got placed in the civil engineering course. The highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA - 2 LPA. There are no top recruiting companies in our course. Only 20-30% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college does not encourage students in sports activities and games. It only encourages in studying. The canteen does not include breakfast, lunch, and food items. Only drinks and snacks are available in the canteen. Sports and games are average.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage in the course is 85%. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Civil engineering is a good course.
Other: I am very interested in civil engineering, so I chose it. This course is not very difficult to study. We can connect the subjects with daily life like the construction and design of bridges, houses, airports, etc. We can do 3D design through many websites. There should be more real site experience, so it will be easy to understand. Events, fests, and the campus crowd are very bad. The campus surroundings are good. Scholarships are provided. Extracurricular activities are not encouraged.

Honest review about Carmel College.
Placements: Some students who got a CGPA above 9 are placed. Comparatively, placements in this college are very few, and if there is a placement, it is for low-paid jobs. Only less than 10 percent of students got good placements, while others will have to work for it. Most of the students had to go to paid internships to meet course requirements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent but not enough. The Wi-Fi is there but only for staff. In a classroom, there is an average of 60 students. Library facilities are decent as there are enough books for study purposes. The hostels are very strict as you have to enter before 6 PM, there are limitations on phone usage, and the hostel mess is not that good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and have adequate knowledge in their subjects. They maintain a good relationship with the students. But the HOD of the department is not approachable. Semester exams are quite hard as you have to work very hard to pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because it was the nearest available with low fees and I got a scholarship.

Good college if you are looking for academics.
Placements: The college does not provide many placement opportunities as of now. Well, courses like civil and mechanical engineering have been NBA-accredited. So maybe in the coming years there will be more placement opportunities for non-computer science departments.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the college are altogether good. The faculty members are very much to their advantage. Classrooms are good and have a library. The labs were good. Provide almost all types of equipment. And there are faculty members who are well aware of lab procedures. The hostel facility is not so bad.
Faculty: To match the curriculum, I suggest it is one of the best options available. Faculty members were good. All the exams have been conducted based on KTU rules. And the pass percentage is comparatively higher. In terms of academics, the college has a reputation. Students are more or less industry-related.
