A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is CBIT Good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT):

Pros:

* Good Placement Opportunities: CBIT has a strong reputation for placing its students in top companies such as Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, Oracle, Amazon, and others. The highest package offered is around 60 LPA, with an average package of 10-20 LPA.
* Experienced Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are known for being helpful and supportive, with some even going beyond their duties to assist students.
* Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a spacious library, and comfortable classrooms.
* Festivals and Clubs: CBIT hosts several festivals and clubs, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and interests outside of academics.
* Internships: Students can opt for internships, with many companies visiting the campus to recruit interns.

Cons:

* Hostel Issues: Some students reported issues with the hostel, including poor food quality and limited facilities.
* Limited Freedom: Students felt that there was limited freedom in the hostel, requiring parental consent for certain activities.
* Summer Heat: Classes can get uncomfortably hot during the summer season, with no air conditioning in the classrooms.
* Curriculum: Some students felt that the curriculum could be improved, with some subjects feeling outdated or irrelevant.

Overall, CBIT seems to be a good option for students seeking a strong educational foundation and promising job prospects. While there are some areas for improvement, the college's reputation for placements, experienced faculty, and good infrastructure make it a viable choice.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MCA Programs at CBIT

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT:

* Limited Information: Unfortunately, there is limited information available about the placement cell's performance and activities.

* No Specific Feedback: None of the reviewed statements specifically mention the placement cell or its effectiveness.

As such, it is challenging to assess the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT based on the provided information. However, this may indicate that the college does not actively promote or highlight their placement efforts, or that the placement process is relatively smooth and efficient without significant issues.

If you're interested in learning more about the placement cell or seeking guidance on career development, I recommend reaching out to the college administration or speaking with current students/alumni who have gone through the program.

Q:   Is MCA at CBIT worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern facilities, although MCA students don't have access to hostels.
* Faculty: Excellent faculty with Ph.D. qualifications, providing guidance and clearing doubts.
* Course Curriculum: Industry-relevant curriculum with regular updates, preparing students for placements.
* Placements: Good placement record with top companies visiting campus, offering packages ranging from INR5-10 LPA (average) to INR8-10 LPA (the highest).
* Competition: Compared to B.Tech placements, MCA placements may face more competition due to fewer students opting for the program.
* Career Prospects: While the highest package may not be as high as B.Tech, the faculty believes that with strong skills, students can secure placements in top companies.
* Campus Life: Events and festivals organized by the college are enjoyable, and the campus has good connectivity and surroundings.
* Library and Resources: One of the finest libraries in the country, providing access to nearly 100,000 books and resources.
* Support System: Faculty members focus on helping average students, making themselves available for doubt-clearing sessions.

Overall, while MCA at CBIT might not offer the same level of placements as B.Tech, the college's infrastructure, faculty, and resources make it a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in computer applications. However, it's essential to consider the competitive nature of the job market and the need for strong skills to secure top placements.

Everything you need to know about 'THE CBIT'.
Placements: In my course, almost everyone got placed and was given a good amount of packages. The highest package was 44 lakhs per annum, and the average package was 8 lakhs per annum. The CSE-AI&ML course had their first placement with 100% placements. One of my friends got into Accenture with 19 lakhs per annum. Many students got placed in companies where they did internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Every branch has different blocks, with each carrying 1 or 2 lifts. We have separate blocks for sports, a library, and a canteen too. There is no hostel on the college campus, but they do have 3 branches of hostel in collaboration within 5 km. I prefer to go to a private hostel, as they have better and more spacious rooms.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and are very friendly to the students. They help in every aspect of our lives. In my branch, which is CSE-AI&ML, the faculty are not much trained in the subject. They are not very familiar with the ML subject, but they help us in understanding and growing knowledge in the subject. The curriculum is very effective when it comes to studying placements wise. Many students got placed with high packages. The semester exams are not too difficult if you are studying on a daily basis. The pass percentage of my class is around 85% to 90%.
Other: I chose this course because it has future scope in it. Nowadays, we know how important it is to understand AI usage in our day-to-day lives. The classrooms and the hectic classes can be improved in my course. Every year in February we have Fest hosted for a week. The festival is something that we enjoy the most and is too fun. I have full fee reimbursement, which makes me pay only the semester fee, which is 2500 INR.

CBIT will provide you a well rounded college experience.
Placements: So far, our batch hasn't been introduced to the placement wing of CBIT, but I can say that a majority of my batchmates are applying for internships. Although when we asked our seniors about our placements, they generally said that only 1 or 2 people get their dream 30 LPA job in big companies through campus placements. The others say that it's more effective to get a job through referrals. Companies like Microsoft, JP Morgan, Electronic Arts, Deliveroo, etc. are some of the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: Classroom facilities aren't up to standard. There are no AC's or even coolers in the classrooms. This especially becomes an issue during the summer. The classroom gets very hot and it is tough to concentrate. The food in the canteen is decent but it's difficult to eat it every day. The hostels are alright; they have a common area and the rooms have sufficient lighting. One drawback is the food.
Faculty: The teachers in this course are very helpful. They are always open to your doubts and are keen on solving them. They are also a little lenient compared to the professors in the other courses. The course curriculum is relevant, but it is required that you learn something extra. The semester exams are 7 out of 10 in difficulty. If you are regular throughout the semester, you should be able to do well. The pass percentage is 40% .

It is an excellent college in Telangana.
Placements: In our college, around 60-65% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Google, Amazon, Cisco, etc., visit our campus. If students get a 9 CGPA, they will get good internships. Top roles offered are web developer, machine learning analyst, computer network architect, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. The campus has lush greenery. Labs and libraries are good. There are many hostels near the college. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. There is a free study board that is neat and clean.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and friendly. They have 15 years of experience. There are mid-term exams before the semester, and portions of the semester are divided into midterm exams.
Other: I chose this course because it is the future of the world and a very trending course. This will help us with future technology. Fests and events are excellent. Scholarships are available.

Good placements and lovable campus life.
Placements: Almost all the students got placed in good companies. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, and Microsoft at Service Now. The top roles offered are Software Development Engineer and Data Analyst. The highest salary offered is 44 LPA and the average salary is 44 LPA. 50% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available on campus for students and classrooms are also not that hygienic. The college contains a very huge library where a lot of books are available. Coming to hostel facilities food is average but canteen is nice. The college contains a huge ground where we can play a lot of games like cricket, volleyball and football.
Faculty: Coming to faculty they are very helpful and qualified. The quality of teaching is good. Yes, the course curriculum makes the students industry-ready like they help to prepare for interviews and in completing the projects. The semester exams are not that difficult.
