A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is CBIT Good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT):

Pros:

* Good Placement Opportunities: CBIT has a strong reputation for placing its students in top companies such as Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, Oracle, Amazon, and others. The highest package offered is around 60 LPA, with an average package of 10-20 LPA.
* Experienced Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are known for being helpful and supportive, with some even going beyond their duties to assist students.
* Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a spacious library, and comfortable classrooms.
* Festivals and Clubs: CBIT hosts several festivals and clubs, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and interests outside of academics.
* Internships: Students can opt for internships, with many companies visiting the campus to recruit interns.

Cons:

* Hostel Issues: Some students reported issues with the hostel, including poor food quality and limited facilities.
* Limited Freedom: Students felt that there was limited freedom in the hostel, requiring parental consent for certain activities.
* Summer Heat: Classes can get uncomfortably hot during the summer season, with no air conditioning in the classrooms.
* Curriculum: Some students felt that the curriculum could be improved, with some subjects feeling outdated or irrelevant.

Overall, CBIT seems to be a good option for students seeking a strong educational foundation and promising job prospects. While there are some areas for improvement, the college's reputation for placements, experienced faculty, and good infrastructure make it a viable choice.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MCA Programs at CBIT

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT:

* Limited Information: Unfortunately, there is limited information available about the placement cell's performance and activities.

* No Specific Feedback: None of the reviewed statements specifically mention the placement cell or its effectiveness.

As such, it is challenging to assess the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT based on the provided information. However, this may indicate that the college does not actively promote or highlight their placement efforts, or that the placement process is relatively smooth and efficient without significant issues.

If you're interested in learning more about the placement cell or seeking guidance on career development, I recommend reaching out to the college administration or speaking with current students/alumni who have gone through the program.

Q:   Is MCA at CBIT worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern facilities, although MCA students don't have access to hostels.
* Faculty: Excellent faculty with Ph.D. qualifications, providing guidance and clearing doubts.
* Course Curriculum: Industry-relevant curriculum with regular updates, preparing students for placements.
* Placements: Good placement record with top companies visiting campus, offering packages ranging from INR5-10 LPA (average) to INR8-10 LPA (the highest).
* Competition: Compared to B.Tech placements, MCA placements may face more competition due to fewer students opting for the program.
* Career Prospects: While the highest package may not be as high as B.Tech, the faculty believes that with strong skills, students can secure placements in top companies.
* Campus Life: Events and festivals organized by the college are enjoyable, and the campus has good connectivity and surroundings.
* Library and Resources: One of the finest libraries in the country, providing access to nearly 100,000 books and resources.
* Support System: Faculty members focus on helping average students, making themselves available for doubt-clearing sessions.

Overall, while MCA at CBIT might not offer the same level of placements as B.Tech, the college's infrastructure, faculty, and resources make it a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in computer applications. However, it's essential to consider the competitive nature of the job market and the need for strong skills to secure top placements.

Overall, the college is better for placements.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Microsoft, JPMC, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and Electronic Arts hire freshers every year with a minimum package of 20 LPA. Companies recruit every branch's students. The placement percentage of this year is 85%.
Infrastructure: Facilities are amazing on the campus. The campus is very cool with the greenery. There is a good canteen and a very good hostel. Overall the college is very good in terms of infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. The course is very good. The curriculum includes emerging technologies. Semester exams are very difficult. There is an attractive competition among students. There is a semester with 16 weeks including exams. Faculty members are very talented. They are very good.
Other: CSE in CBIT is equivalent to CSE in NIT. The course is very good. Hackathons, fests, and contests improve my skills. There is Sputhi Fest every year.

Great Placements and Campus Life with Supportive Faculty and Facilities.
Placements: Placements at my college, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, are impressive. We get opportunities with top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and TCS. The placement cell is really supportive, offering mock interviews and training to make us industry-ready and competitive.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is solid. For my course, we have well-equipped labs, modern classrooms, and access to digital resources. The hostel facilities are decent, offering clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and a safe environment for students.
Faculty: The faculty at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is knowledgeable and supportive, bringing both academic and industry experience to the classroom. The curriculum is well-structured, covering core and elective subjects relevant to current trends. Exams are thorough, testing both theoretical understanding and practical application.
Other: Campus life at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is vibrant and engaging. The crowd is diverse, with students from various backgrounds creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere. There are numerous clubs, events, and activities, making it easy to find friends and pursue interests outside academics.

CBIT - Not completely happy with the college.
Placements: Up to 70% of students get placed every year. The highest package is 59.91 LPA this year, the lowest is 2-3 LPA and the average is 7-8 LPA. In my course, the average is more than 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Microsoft, JPMC and Amazon. Up to 90 percent of people get internships at some or big companies. The placements used to be very great in the earlier years but have shown a downturn in recent times due to the layoffs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at the college is good. Labs are well-equipped with ACs, and classrooms are small but adjustable. There is a separate block for every department. But the college hostel is too old and very mediocre. People prefer private hostels over college hostels.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are really supportive and caring, while others are just so rude. But every faculty member has good knowledge of their subject. The curriculum is good but some subjects feel unnecessary for current trends. The semester exams go smoothly and the failure percentage is very low.
Other: The clubs in the college and the festival that happens every year are two really good things about this college. There are up to 40 clubs and many students are involved in various club activities and gain great communication and social skills. And one thing that the college has to improve is to make good roads and improve the washrooms. They are decent but they can be made better.

Genuine CBIT review, campus life, faculty, and curriculum.
Placements: Our batch is 2021-2025. The course is CSE IoT under the department of CET Computer Engineering and Technology. Top companies for our course like Qualcomm, etc., visit our college. Around 25% of students got internships from our course. Roles offered are cyber security analyst, software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: There are a good amount of facilities and infrastructure available but can be improved further. There are no hostel facilities on the campus. It has a boys' hostel outside the campus. A canteen is available on the campus. Medical, sports, and games are available.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very good at skills and teaching. Some are very lazy. They don't have skills. The course curriculum is very relevant. They offer many electives for our choice. We can opt for any subject with our interest. The semester exam difficulty level is 4.5 or 5.
Other: It is the best college with good placements and atmosphere. I recommend joining if want.

Impressive placements with top companies, but salary packages vary widely.
Placements: In the 2023-24 placements for CSE students, 213 students were successfully placed in various top companies. The salary packages offered varied significantly, with the highest package reaching 59.9 Lakhs, offered by Atlassian, while the lowest package was 4 Lakhs, provided by companies like PeopleTech. The average package across all placements ranged between 5.0 Lakhs to 25.0 Lakhs, with prominent companies such as JP Morgan Chase, Oracle, Microsoft, and Amazon offering competitive packages of 19.8 Lakhs, 19.7 Lakhs, 49.0 Lakhs, and 46.3 Lakhs, respectively. Many students received offers above the industry average, showcasing the strong demand for CSE graduates in top-tier organizations.
Infrastructure: During the first year, 7 students stayed in a room; in the next years, 4 students stayed in a room. I would say the food is average. The PG's are cheaper than college hostels; they cost around 6500 per month for a four-share room located in Kokapet, which is 2.5kms away from college, whereas college hostels are 1 km away, and there is no transport facility provided. Speaking about college infrastructure, the classrooms are very old with no proper facilities like fewer fans, washrooms which have no water supply, and old, dirty benches. The ground and sports facilities are OK.
Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified and helpful, but most teachers teach in Telugu and teach as per the syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, except for a few subjects introduced during the 1st year. The college semester exams are easy, and the paper is directly set from the material, and I did not find any creative, hard papers as well. The pass percentage in CSE is above 95.
