A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is CBIT Good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT):

Pros:

* Good Placement Opportunities: CBIT has a strong reputation for placing its students in top companies such as Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, Oracle, Amazon, and others. The highest package offered is around 60 LPA, with an average package of 10-20 LPA.
* Experienced Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are known for being helpful and supportive, with some even going beyond their duties to assist students.
* Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a spacious library, and comfortable classrooms.
* Festivals and Clubs: CBIT hosts several festivals and clubs, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and interests outside of academics.
* Internships: Students can opt for internships, with many companies visiting the campus to recruit interns.

Cons:

* Hostel Issues: Some students reported issues with the hostel, including poor food quality and limited facilities.
* Limited Freedom: Students felt that there was limited freedom in the hostel, requiring parental consent for certain activities.
* Summer Heat: Classes can get uncomfortably hot during the summer season, with no air conditioning in the classrooms.
* Curriculum: Some students felt that the curriculum could be improved, with some subjects feeling outdated or irrelevant.

Overall, CBIT seems to be a good option for students seeking a strong educational foundation and promising job prospects. While there are some areas for improvement, the college's reputation for placements, experienced faculty, and good infrastructure make it a viable choice.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MCA Programs at CBIT

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT:

* Limited Information: Unfortunately, there is limited information available about the placement cell's performance and activities.

* No Specific Feedback: None of the reviewed statements specifically mention the placement cell or its effectiveness.

As such, it is challenging to assess the effectiveness of the placement cell for MCA programs at CBIT based on the provided information. However, this may indicate that the college does not actively promote or highlight their placement efforts, or that the placement process is relatively smooth and efficient without significant issues.

If you're interested in learning more about the placement cell or seeking guidance on career development, I recommend reaching out to the college administration or speaking with current students/alumni who have gone through the program.

Q:   Is MCA at CBIT worth the investment?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

* Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with modern facilities, although MCA students don't have access to hostels.
* Faculty: Excellent faculty with Ph.D. qualifications, providing guidance and clearing doubts.
* Course Curriculum: Industry-relevant curriculum with regular updates, preparing students for placements.
* Placements: Good placement record with top companies visiting campus, offering packages ranging from INR5-10 LPA (average) to INR8-10 LPA (the highest).
* Competition: Compared to B.Tech placements, MCA placements may face more competition due to fewer students opting for the program.
* Career Prospects: While the highest package may not be as high as B.Tech, the faculty believes that with strong skills, students can secure placements in top companies.
* Campus Life: Events and festivals organized by the college are enjoyable, and the campus has good connectivity and surroundings.
* Library and Resources: One of the finest libraries in the country, providing access to nearly 100,000 books and resources.
* Support System: Faculty members focus on helping average students, making themselves available for doubt-clearing sessions.

Overall, while MCA at CBIT might not offer the same level of placements as B.Tech, the college's infrastructure, faculty, and resources make it a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in computer applications. However, it's essential to consider the competitive nature of the job market and the need for strong skills to secure top placements.

Mechanical engineering in CBIT, dream of becoming a researcher started here.
Placements: Every year, approximately 83% of students secure placements, with the highest package being 12LPA and the lowest being 5LPA, resulting in an average of 5LPA. Prominent recruiters include TATA, Wipro, Mahindra, Infosys, and Oracle. Moreover, around 60% of students have the opportunity to intern at these companies, specializing in roles such as quality testing engineers and product design engineers.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts a well-developed infrastructure, with state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and a library stocked with informative books and electronic resources for students. Additionally, the food provided in our hostels and canteen is both hygienic and nutritious, setting it apart from the unhealthy junk food found on the streets.
Faculty: The expertise of teachers and faculty greatly contributes to academic success. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for job placement. Although the semester exams in our program are challenging, they hold significant value. Prioritizing knowledge acquisition will lead to better academic performance.
Other: The passion for mechanical engineering ignited within me here. As someone who adores machines, this field is the epitome of engineering. By enhancing academic standards and refining teaching methods, students will excel and thrive in their future endeavors.

It is one of the best colleges in Hyderabad.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students got placed in our course. A few students got placed in core companies. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, TCS, Microsoft, etc. A few students got internships. Top roles offered are simulation engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and spacious. Our college provides us with all facilities. Classrooms are old. The library has many books. Labs are well-equipped. Our college has a sports block. They provide sports facilities. The hostel facilities are not much good. Many students join private hostels.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified. We grasp the subject matter effectively. The course structure is relevant and informative. It may not prepare students adequately for the industry. Semester exams are easy. If we study well, we can easily clear the exams.
Other: I opted for this course to build machines. They should teach the relevant courses. Many events and fests are held in our college.

A brief overview of why you should or should not choose CBIT.
Placements: The placements for core are very few but core students can also get placed in other fields. The highest package obtained by a student here is about 50 LPA. The companies that mostly recruit in our college are Cape Gemini, PepsiCo and various other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is much better when compared to other EAMCET colleges in Telangana. The library is really huge and consists of various research journals, papers, and also online journals along with various books for the course. I do not reside in the college hostel.
Faculty: The teachers here are always ready to help. The faculty is friendly and looks out for the students. There are also faculty members who are really good in their field but are not very good in conveying their knowledge. The course is designed to make the students industry ready. The exams difficulty level is moderate.

I am absolutely honoured to be a cbitian.
Placements: I am currently in second year hence our batch has not been placed yet. It might take place from 3rd year. But in the previous batch 90% of the students were placed. The highest package was INR 12 LPA and the lowest stood at INR 2.6 LPA. The roles offered were mainly of interns.
Infrastructure: Every department has a separate block, we have separate labs for different subjects. Our college also has a library, R&D building, cricket and other sports grounds. Every second classroom has a projector and each block is provided with Wi-Fi service. College hostel is a km away from the college but I am a day scholar.
Faculty: The teachers of the college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They support us in every possible way. Our college has good curriculum and the students always come out industry ready. The semester exams are above average level and 60% of the students pass the exams.

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placements section in our college for the batch of 2024 passouts was not that great I would say because of the recession and the post pandemic effect. The highest role that was offered for our mechanical department from my section was from Asian paints for a package of 10lpa.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and the equipment available in the college were pretty good they were not so great I would say but they get the work done. There are good labs and good equipment that mostly work and there is a canteen in the college that has good food. Medical facilities are also available, sports and games are also encouraged.
Faculty: The faculty was very good they were really very understanding and explain the concepts bery well. They were knowledgeable and reliable. The course curriculum was relevant and it definitely makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are pretty easy to pass for a student who listens to the class properly I would say. CBIT is an affiliated college and it conducts its exams in its campus itself so there is no tension of going to other colleges for exams.
Other: All the courses in the college have very relevant curriculum and I particularly chose mechanical because I was interested in mechanical engineering. There are many sports events that are conducted between the different groups and also inter college sports events are also conducted.

CBIT offers seats through management quota, JEE Mains ranks and also through EAMCET ranks. If you have good marks in any of the two, you will be getting this institute.
