Our college teaching is good, but practical knowledge is lacking.
Placements: It was 2021, so we didn't get any placements, as it was pandemic time. But still, the college formed a social media group where they informed us about various vacancies in companies. There were 5 to 6 students placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was old because it's been more than 100 years since the college was built, but it had lots of space and various departments. I didn't see any Wi-Fi there, although the library was good, where you could find many books and get the daily newspaper. It had computers with internet connections. The hostel was decent, though sometimes I find water scarce. The mess food was decent.
Faculty: Teachers were good. If you attend college regularly, you will understand everything about your subject or course. The curriculum didn't make you industry-ready, and we also didn't have that many practical classes where we could have learned via practical. Semester exam difficulty depends on your studies. The passing percentage was 55 % for every subject with separate theory and practice passing and combined passing.
Other: Well, at first, it was a random choice. Now, I think the one who has an interest in agriculture should choose this course, or the one who holds land will learn more about agriculture. I think practical classes would be better. Of course, in agriculture, we will learn more practically. College students did take part in extracurricular activities, and we did have events. College fest happened once a year.

The college is at the heart of Nagpur, with a good crowd.
Placements: In our college, not more than 10% of students were placed. Top companies such as Mahyco, Zuari visited and selected a handful of candidates. After COVID, it affected placements more. Those who were placed were offered a salary package of around 3 LPA to 5 LPA. During the final year, internships at farms and agricultural companies were provided.
Infrastructure: Though the main building was old, it lacked proper infrastructure. However, the departments were good. The hostel had a library and a large playground where different activities took place. The library had a good collection of books. Hostels were well built and had greenery.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified. Almost all had Ph.D.s. Agriculture was not only confined to plant science. You would study almost all subjects, i.e., economics, statistics, pathology, agriculture engineering, and microbiology. The syllabus was too vast. Each semester had a minimum of 10 subjects, though you could study easily if you were dedicated.
Other: Every year, there was an educational tour at prime locations. During our time, we got to explore Raipur and many agricultural institutions. Visits were arranged at successful farmers' farms. After PG, many students got jobs. Most students were prepared for competitive exams.

Review of College of Agriculture, Nagpur - Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth.
Placements: The college has an average number of placements, with some local and international companies visiting our campus. Roles such as how to score good marks, how to divide and rule, and how to make life useless, along with others, are exclusively taught here.
Infrastructure: The college building is 124 years old, being one of the five first agri-colleges in all of India. However, today it is in its worst condition. Still, it has facilities such as a library, gym, forum, and some useless stuff. The college campus is spread over a large area of Nagpur, with houses of people and concrete jungles within our campus.
Faculty: The curriculum is outdated and was last updated in 1962, failing to meet current needs. Even the degree's future is uncertain. Modern skills are unlikely to be introduced into our syllabus within the next millennium. Students are not industry-ready but are prepared for hard times; they can work tirelessly, survive without eating for days, and commit to anything for marks and presentation. Semester exams only require confidence to pass, and sometimes subjects are occasionally put back to earn money, as some people apply for paper re-evaluation for ₹750 only and rechecking for ₹900 only. They don't even conduct exams for back papers; students have to wait for the semester to give exams. They also don't consider medical leave, saying, "Everyone gets dengue; we will not postpone the paper; get lost!"
Other: College life is awesome, with every event celebrated like home. Some teachers, like Dr. Rahul Wadaskar sir (Ento professor), are very awesome. We have lots of fun in college; everything is bright, but only the future is dark.

Our college is a good collection for agriculture.
Placements: There are good placements after passing the course. You can go for ICAR for a future M.Sc. education in fellowship. Agriculture scientist, Bank manager, and Agriculture officer are the roles offered. After Ph.D. you can be a lecturer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. A good forum for study. There is a playground for cricket, football, and every sport. There is free Wi-Fi and 24-hour electricity and water supply. Canteen serves delicious food. Hostel rooms are in a good condition. College has a perfect atmosphere with lush greenery.
Faculty: College has Knowledgeable and well-educated teachers. The teaching quality is good. Examinations conducted are tough with strict invigilation. This course will give you much knowledge to make students ready for the industry. The pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: Agriculture contributes 62 to 70% of GDP to the national economy. Agriculture is the main culture of India. The farmer needs well-educated agriculturer to build our economy fast. So I chose this course.

Our college is good and provides good placements.
Placements: Our course offers mainly private jobs, like in marketing sector. The main recruiters are Godrej, Ankur Seeds etc. Many government jobs are also available such as AFO at Bank, ADO, and Nabard also recruit agri students for their agricultural finances.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided. Different course labs are also available. Fields are also available for field work, which is necessary for this course. Our hostel provides good facilities. Hostel food is good. We have medical facilities and a big playground.
Faculty: Our faculty members are good. All the teachers are PhD holders and have good teaching experience. Our semester exams are quite hard. Theory syllabus is more. This course is under the applied science category. Therefore, theory subject is more.
Other: I like this course because we have so much many things to learn compared to other courses. We have personality development classes. Entrepreneurship course is provided. Our college conducts an annual function. We have scholarship programs for this course run by the government.

Skills are important with updated knowledge .
Placements: Good agro based companies do visit the campus with atleast 2 to 5 Lacs per annum for only B.Sc. graduates. When you do postgraduate course yours salary per annum also increase till now only agro based industries I observed are mahayoco and some chemical.
Infrastructure: Good availability of Wi-Fi in hostel clean and refreshing college campus when monsoon season starts the college feels so green and good but when summer are there you get cooked it is unbearable because it's temperature of 40 to 45 degree Celsius so hot .
Faculty: Some teachers are that they teach a good things in life and supporting. In your college life friends are important but don't blindly trust them when they show you their the worst side it's unpredictable. Believe in yourself update your surrounding knowledge .
Other: Study hard up to minimum extent marks are important yours only skills will make you out of the crowd.
