B.Tech. in in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering - Batch of 2022
Offered by College of Engineering, Chengannur

It is an average college with fewer programs.
Placements: Most of the students got placed and there are only IT companies and those who are not interested in that are not placed. The placement is going well. The highest package is 27.87 LPA from just pay. Placement cell doing good work on placements. About 50 to 60% of students are placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available but most of the things have restrictions. In the library, a boy and girl are not allowed to go upstairs as there is no one there, even if it's an urgent case. That's a horrible thing. The canteen has fewer items which are vanished within minutes.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and they give good guidance. They help if the marks are less or to take a leave. Some teachers take personal revenge on the internal mark and put fail. This leads to course repeats in the semester. The semester exams are not good which is conducted by KTU. Even students fail if they wrote well.
Other: This is a hard college and has some limits to conducting big programs. Even though they are not conducting it. Such a worse college to conduct programs. Even though programs are only till 6 where other colleges have time till 10 or 12. The management is not looking into it and if any problems occur between children, the staff are supporting their students even if they do wrong.

Overall, I am satisfied with the course but dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: Almost 50-55% of the students got placed mostly in information technology companies. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. Only IT companies are visiting here for placements. Students are offered with the role like Labview controller. In our course, the average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Almost 20% of the students got an internship, and most of them got by taking PG and diploma courses.
Infrastructure: Our college provides instrumentation labs, desktop facility, digital classrooms, library, gym, lift, etc. A mess is not available in boys hostel, but the hostel is good for the facilities provided at an average rate. Indoor games are also available here.
Faculty: Teaching quality is moderate as they teach all information regarding the syllabus. Practical classes are conducted less often compared to theory classes. Almost all the content of the course curriculum is relevant, but students have to do internships in companies to be industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am more fond of the operation wing and to know about instruments and their use. The college should provide more practical labs than theory classes. Our college conducts tech fest and arts. Scholarships are also available here.
