Review of College of Engineering, Karunagappally of 2023-27 batch.
Placements: In most of the colleges, campus placement begins in the 3rd year, but in our college, there is placement training from the orientation of the first year onwards. Our college trains the students on how to attend the placement interview, how it is done, and the things that must be done during the sessions, etc., and also provides practice tests for attending the exams during placement. And about 80–85% of students got placed and got paid internships. Even first-year students are getting the chance for an internship with a stipend. Mostly CS students are getting placed. The placement cell of our college is very active and is very supportive to students.
Infrastructure: college has well-designed buildings for each department. There are four academic blocks for different departments. And there are very good lab facilities for each subject. There are about 3-4 computer labs. Classrooms are very clean and all are smart classrooms. The college is situated on acres, so there is much space for everything. There are separate facilities for sports and entertainments like football court, volleyball court, badminton court, cricket area, etc. There are hostel facilities for students .boys hostel is just opposite to the college and ladies hostel is about 300 m away from the college. The college and hostel offer wifi 24 hours a day. Mess food is average. There is well-equipped canteen in our college beside main block. There is well-equipped library facility, which is very useful. Every student is provided with 3 library cards, which is used to take 3 books at a time. And mostly your teachers are very supportive and educational.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and supportive who encourages the students to work hard. They treat students very well and provides remedial classes for the students who is weak in studies. There is two internal exams and there is at least one test week and conducts retest for the students who score low marks to improve their studies. The college make students to face any problems in the industry.

College, my world, which is a dream come true moment.
Placements: Almost fifty percent of the students are getting placed in Computer Science and Engineering. The package offered is $25,000. Top companies where we are getting placed are Apollo and Space. Almost all students got internships in Computer Science and Engineering from many high-level colleges.
Infrastructure: Labs are available with sufficient, working high-quality computers. Classrooms are well-cleaned and have sufficient space. The library is well-arranged. The facilities in the hostel are average, and the mess food quality is also average. Sports and games are there for the interaction of students.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and teach at a high standard. The semester exams are somewhat easy but not too difficult. The passing mark is 40 out of 100 and 75 out of 150. The syllabus included is relevant, and there is only a small part to study. The course is very relevant for the students.
Other: I chose this course because it has scope in the future, and the world of computers never ends. Arts, sports events are conducted in our college, and there is scope for extracurricular activities. Our surroundings are well-cleaned, nature-friendly, and green.

Satisfied with the college. Has to work more on placements, better facilities etc.
Placements: Placements are available, and the companies coming for recruitment are also good. But the thing is, these placements will not be enough for someone who is skilled. It's okay if you are new in the field and such. For someone who has worked hard to polish their skills, our college placement may not be the best option.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure and classrooms are okay. I won't say it is the best, but it's okay. All facilities are provided. But the hostel is not very good at this moment. I hope they will fix it soon. Computer labs are all good. Wi-Fi is available. The library is also good.
Faculty: I would say that they are the best. Faculty members and their teaching are good. They are supportive of whatever activities we would like to conduct. And the course curriculum is good and deep but lacks modernization. It doesn't teach work-related skills. Exams are good. Overall it is good. And over time, it will be the best, I guess.
Other: B.Tech is basically a pressure cooker. So no matter where we study, that will be present there. Choosing the institution depends on the fellows. For me, I chose this institution because it was good, and the teaching is okay. And I just want to learn what B.Tech is and how the whole B.Tech situation is here. It is not that bad. But needs some improvements.

College is good but needs to improve in infrastructure.
Placements: Around 20 to 25 percent of students were placed last year in my college. The highest salary package was 8.3 LPA last year. The lowest average salary package was 3.6 LPA. TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, and UST Global were the top recruiting companies for my course. Less than 60 percent of students got internships from my course at TCS.
Infrastructure: Only 3 blocks are in my college. Classrooms are only average. In some classes, fans are not even working properly. There is a library that has only a few books. Labs are not good; only a few computer systems are working. Hostel facilities are bad, and the food in the hostel is not that good. The college canteen was good last year. But now it is not clean and the menu is not good. Sports and games are good in college.
Faculty: The teachers in my faculty are very good. Every teacher is very helpful and they put in a lot of hard work for each student to pass, including me. My teachers are well qualified and some teachers have doctorates in their subjects. It is difficult to pass semester exams. We need at least 40 marks out of 100 to pass the exam.
Other: I like computers and programming. My course provides lots of job opportunities in the future. The syllabus is vast, and we hope our university will cut some of the topics from it to make it a little easier for students. Only a few events will be conducted at my college. The campus surroundings are too good. Lots of trees and plants are in my college. There are some student groups like NSS and IEEE in my college.

This college provides various courses in 2023.
Placements: There are more than 60 percent of students getting placed at the college. The top recruiting companies from here are TCS, Infosys and MRF. The top roles they are assigning are supervisory role, managerial roles, etc. Unfortunately, most of them are hiring trainees.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are pretty basic, but they are not bad. The college is fully connected to the internet, the library is provided with an e-learning website and the classrooms also have smart classes. There is a hostel near the college and it is cheap.
Faculty: The teachers are so helpful and they treat us like their own children. The curriculum is relevant because KTU updates it yearly on their scheme. Because this is engineering, it is difficult to pass, but if you study well, you can crack the exam. The college makes students ready to face any problems in industry.
Other: I chose this course because I studied polytechnic, so I chose engineering for my career growth.

Placements: 80% students were placed in our course. The average package offered in our course.Top recruiting companies were training for students.80% students got internship from our course and like Quest global,Qspyder,TCS etc.Top roles offered in our course and companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course is below average.Library is good but in labs some systems are not working and poor wifi connection. The quality of facilities in hostel is good but the food availability in mess and canteen is poor.No programms are conducted in our college like arts. But sports conducted in every year.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and they got doctorate. All are professors.Their teaching quality is good and they are knowledgeable. They are helpful for students but some faculties don't get internal marks.Semester exams are average difficult and 95% is the pass percentage.
Other: I have interested in technologies and programming.Best things are got in our course like web designing, app making etc.I have more interested in designing logo of the apps so I would be improved in this field. Some students got scholarship. No events are there in the college.Campus surroundings are very poor.
