Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at DKTE worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at DKTE worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and testimonials from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

* Placement Record: Almost all students (around 80%) get placed, with a high success rate even in niche sectors like textiles.
* Salary Packages: Average salary packages range from INR3.5 Lacs to INR6 Lacs per annum, with the highest package reaching up to INR18 Lacs per annum.
* Faculty Support: Faculty members are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs, and are willing to help students throughout their academic journey.
* Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, including state-of-the-art labs, a massive library, and comfortable hostel facilities for female students.
* Industry Connect: The college has partnerships with leading textile companies, offering students internships and job opportunities.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to meet industry demands, covering topics like textile processing, chemical engineering, and materials science.
* Event Organisations: The college organises regular events, including cultural festivals, seminars, and workshops, promoting a lively campus atmosphere.

However, some drawbacks mentioned by students include:

* Limited Job Opportunities in Core Sectors: While many students get placed, the college struggles to place students in core textile industries.
* Campus Infrastructure: While the infrastructure is good, some students mention that the campus size is relatively small.
* Placement Criteria: The college sets a minimum criterion for placement selection, which might impact students' chances of getting placed.

Overall, considering the positive aspects and potential drawbacks, investing in a BE/BTech degree at DKTE could be worthwhile for students looking for a career in textiles, chemicals, or allied industries. However, individual circumstances and preferences should be carefully considered before making a decision.

I am satisfied to join in this college because most of the students got placed in IT companies.
Placements: I am studying in the mechanical engineering branch. In the previous year, about 60%-70% of the students got placed from our branch. Most of the students replaced in IT companies like TCS, Infosys, etc. Only a few students, i.e., around 8-10 students got placed in core companies like Thermax, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good with a seating capacity, and they are not air-conditioned but have good ventilation. Mostly, projectors are also available in the classrooms. But for boys, the hostel is available only for 1st-year students. However, for girls, the hostel facility is available for all years. Inside the campus, there are two canteens, but it is not fully enabled with Wi-Fi facility. However, it is good.
Faculty: All the teachers in our branch or college have a minimum of M.Tech degree. In our mechanical engineering branch, about 30% of the faculty members are PhD qualified, while 20% are also pursuing PhD. It is an autonomous college, so it will decide the syllabus. Activities like industrial training, soft skills, seminars, etc., are also conducted to make students industry-ready.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering branch because I like to work in the automation field in future. Our college also provides 3 days of social activities every year where students have full enjoyment. Our college also provides all government scholarships to students.

It is good to join a college like DKTE.
Placements: Placements of the college are good enough. Companies like TVS, Bharat Forge, TCS, Thermax, Jockey, Voltas and many others have visited the campus for placements. The average salary package offered is 3 to 3.50 LPA. For internships, you can apply for many companies like Raymond, Bharat Forge, Thermax, Jockey, Shahi Export, Arvind, and many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. All the labs are well-furnished and maintained cleanly. Wi-Fi facility is available for 24 hours. Classrooms are clean, big enough, and well-ventilated. Doctors are available for two days a week. Sports facilities are good, and the library is huge. Many books and various books written by foreign authors are also available in the library.
Faculty: All the teachers are very cooperative and helpful. All the teachers are well-qualified and have very good knowledge of their respective subject. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1, and the college provides industry exposure. Every student goes to industrial training. The syllabus designed by the teachers is very nice.
Other: Events are being very well-organised. Every department has its own even, and all students can participate in the event. Various prizes are given for the winners. Scholarships are offered for students who perform well in academics as well as sports and various competitions.

Satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure, and campus life.

The best college for engineering aspirants.
Placements: Placements for the mechanical department are good. Core companies like Thermax, Bharat Forge are the main recruiters. Other companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Amazon also visited the campus for recruitment. I haven't seen any internships offered by the institute.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Labs are not that big and spacious, but they are good enough and performing experiments is not an issue. The college provides Wi-Fi facility only after 5 PM. Sports and games are also played on the campus. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced and well aware of the subjects of their specialisation. Teaching quality was excellent. Industrial visits are organised as per the requirement. The course curriculum is excellent and is according to the current requirements of the industry.
Other: The college organises social activity events every year. Connectivity is good as the college is located in the heart of the city.

You must get admission here cause Rajwada is best place to chill, Faculty and Placement are good.
Placements: Last year 50% student were placed in campus recruitment. The highest package offered is 3.20 lacs per year and the lowest package offered is 2.60 lacs per year. Major recruiters who visited last year are Thermax, Bharat Forge, and TCS. They recruit Students as 'Trainee Engineer'. Let talk about placement cell. They started a programme here called as Soft-skill. If you want to get placed in above companies, you must enroll in this programme. It is compulsory to complete soft-skill programme, otherwise they will kick you out of campus placement drive. College never offer internship to students Except 'Textile Branch'.
Infrastructure: College have less space. They constructed buildings in compact space. But main attraction of college is 'Rajwada'. Colleges provides us Wi-Fi facility but they set limit of 20 Mb per user number that is not sufficient. But we can access internet in 'Central Computer Lab'. Classrooms are big enough for 60 to 80 students. My college library have no. Of books. You can read magazines, newspaper here all kind of magazines and news paper are available here. College support sportsmen's but they don't have there own playing ground. We can see shortage of labs and space problem. College canteen is best, quality of food is superb. College hostel is small but it's environment is good for study.
Faculty: Most of faculty have applied for Ph.D. They are helpful to solve our doubts. They have good knowledge in there subjects. Teaching quality is best. I don't know the student to faculty ratio but staff is sufficient for students. Most of teachers have industry experience before entering in teaching field, so they told us about industry. Course Curriculum designed considering industry. College is try to make industry ready Engineers.
Other: College organise grand event like Tech-symposium. You must volunteer for that, it was fabulous experience for me to volunteer for that event. Annual social Gathering is organise by college every year in which competition are held like singing, dance and fashion show.
