Overall the college is average. If you want to go for biotech department go for it.
Placements: Package in biotech is low but the ratio of GATE selection is high. May seniors have been able to qualify GATE and even they went to iits and good institutes. There is special classes for GATE preparation. Many students who want to get into placement may go for off campus drives as nearly no company comes to hire students here.
Infrastructure: I would say the infrastructure of biotech department is the best among all the branches. The labs are just perfect environment what a student needs. There is Wi-Fi facility too. The water is purified RO Water itself in the Department. There is some issues related to washroom but rest everything is quite good. Canteen is there where little munchies could be obtained rest hostel facility is just for 1st year currently but for girls hostel for further years the construction is going on currently.
Faculty: If we talk about faculty of core biotech they are quite knowledgeable but you would have to work on your end to get the better results. They are quite disciplined which may sometimes seem hectic but that could be managed. They focus both on theoretical and practical knowledge.
Other: I chose this course as my personal interest and best thing is it is the government college and fees here is quite low. There is somewhat issues with administration but rest is good when it comes to events extracurricular activities they are just awesome, you just gonna enjoy a lot, your seniors do their best to make them grand. The plus point is definitely the scholarships nearly 70% students get it by the government funding.
