Overall, it is a good college to improve your skills.
Placements: I think the placements are average because of the automobile department. IT jobs are ruling the world for the past 5 years, so most of the companies recruit students for IT jobs. The college also conducts coding sessions, but I think it's not worth getting a job.
Infrastructure: Please think twice before choosing this course because placements are not good for this course. Hostel facilities are very good. The classrooms are fully digital. The experienced teachers teach us very well. If you have an interest in this course, you can choose it.
Faculty: The faculty are friendly and encourage us in every situation. The teaching quality is very satisfying because they teach beyond the syllabus. It helps us gain more knowledge. Exams test our knowledge, so I am satisfied with the tests and exams.

I am satisfied with college as it is worth for money. They don't charge anything extra.
Placements: Around 500-600 students got placed in different companies. Top recruiting companies of our college are Infosys and Care Soft. Around 30-50 students got an internship in companies like Roots, Texmo, etc. A design engineer is a top role offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were good, and the library was useful. Labs were also good. Food in the canteen was good, and importance was also given for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified enough, and they were also helpful in most of the situations. The course curriculum was better and acceptable, and I like studying here.
Other: I was fond of mechanical and automobile industry, so I have chosen this course. More practical learning would help in improving the quality of the students' knowledge.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty, placements, course curriculum, and inadequate infrastructure.
Placements: When discussing the placements it is below average when compared to IT or CS. Only very few domain-specific engineering companies have visited our college on campus like Sakthi Auto Components, Haritha tech serve, Lucas TVS, ST. John Freight Services. There are quite off-campus recruitments that have happened like Roots Industries India Pvt Ltd, Velmurugan Industries, Butterfly, etc. Roles that were offered like process engineer, very few for design, GET, etc. The Average package is very poor that comes to around 1-2 Lacs. Only less than 50% would get placed and placed students would mostly be offered jobs from BPO like Amazon, Sutherland, and IT service companies.
Infrastructure: As an Automobile Engineer, I felt that our college really lacks Lab facilities. Because for a domain like this, students should have practical exposure and the college should equip a well adequate lab. But only after I passed out from the college in 2017 the lab was built. Internet-enabled PC systems also not enough for a college. There are Simulation labs like Bosch Rexroth, siemens which is very good for a college is not so well developed. The library is good. I am not a hostler, but I received much negative feedback about the hostel facilities, quality, and variety of food. Very small room. Hardly only two to three persons could stay in the room. It was so congested.
Faculty: The teachers have got very poor subject knowledge and an unsatisfied way of teaching except for two or three staff with some years of experience in the teaching could able to manage. Most of the faculty members have pursued their ME in our college itself and was offered a teaching job under some caste influence. The teachers are not given adequate training. The course curriculum is completely out of date and does not match the industry requirements except for a few designing courses like Creo, Ansys, Solid works, Hypermesh. The poor teaching makes even worse and leaves a student life at stake, meaningless, and doesn't serve the purpose.
Other: The Course faculty members should be knowledgeable, Course curriculum should be streamlined in such a way to meet today's industry demands. The best part is participating in Club Activities like YRC, Red ribbon club, Readers club, Students Guild Service where one could develop management skills.

Review of Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Almost 90% of the eligible students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. Almost all the students got an internship mostly in manufacturing-based companies, few in design companies, Sakthi Auto Component, MM Gears, etc. Top roles, like design engineer, technical sales executive, etc., are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and above average. Labs are good with multiple design software with original licenses. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. The library is good with all the required books. The boy's hostel is a little old with laundry facilities. Quality is food served is good, but the taste is average only. The canteen is good, but it should be maximized in future. Sports and games are good. There is a separate team for all the individual and team sports. Medical facilities must be improved.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very well qualified, helpful and knowledgeable with industrial experience. Some staffs members are not good. They are not helpful, and they must be changed. The course curriculum is relevant and outcome-based education. They conduct industrial projects in the final semester.
Other: Our batch students are friendly with each other and also with other departments. I have chosen this course because I was literally interested in the automobile course from my childhood and I have more craze on bikes and cars. I wish the college should train students in design courses. The college conducts events like Uddeshah and a technical symposium for inter-college students and Varnam for intra-college students. The campus is good. The college gives a scholarship to 15 students from each department based on the CGPA and family background. Extracurricular activities conducted by the college must be improved.

Really they are good in teaching. And the life in campus will become as a best memory.
Placements: In dr.MCET college. The placement was good in every branches. Nearly 90% of graduate were placed in the end of their course. Even you will be placed when you will be in 2nd year, in some companies. You can earn nearly 10000 even from 2nd year. Then automobile and mechanical will be much good in this college. Many top companies will come for recruitment. Like bosch, Mercedes Benz if you perform well. Every faculty will be more experienced in their sector.
Infrastructure: When we come to infrastructure. The class room will be clean and neat. There will be unlimited Wi-Fi within every class room which will be used only for studying purpose. And the main thing was it is a tab enabled campus which will be more useful for our studies. They will encourage us in sports. Here they will provide us a separate period for games. Which will not be offered in any college. Hostel will be much good. And the food will not be too bad compared to other colleges.
Faculty: There will be many qualified teachers. Every student will learn anything different from the faculty. They will share their experience which they have seen in industry. You will be trained to become as an entrepreneur not as an employee. You can easily build your language skill. And there are many useful clubs inside the college. Through that you will gain many soft skills. If you are struggling in any subject they will improve your studying skill easily. When you receive your degree you will become as an engineer.
Other: There are many scholarship in this college. If you perform well. There are many useful extra courses inside the college. The fees is less compared to some private courses.
