Being the second category of colleges in Anna University list, this college is trying to establish themselves to become a top rated college. But placement is the main problem as they can place a maximum of 60% of their students to the companies which give better packages. This college is a strict one in terms of discipline. The rules like students cannot leave campus during working hours needs to be lifted. Also, the lab uniform needs to be changed to overcoat as like not.
Actually I would like to give a random review about our college.. It is one best college in a rural area were the staffs are well trained and the minds of the students are enlightened through the mind provoking aspects of teaching. On the whole it is one best college I Have seen.
Our College campus is good. Having good infrastructure and good teachers. Not all departments are strict. Very few are strict. Club activities plays a major role. Hindi is mandatory. Cultural fests takes place once in two months. All kinds of functions are celebrated. Campus is a cool and happening place because of the lush green surrounding. College also provides the facility to join NSS, NCC camps. Sports department is also doing well in our college.
I am highly privileged to be a part of MCET. Curriculum of MCET helped me in the strong grounding on the technical skills and also it extended its hands in pursuing my career goals. This is one of the fine institutions in Coimbatore. Everything is fine with MCET except the lecturers. Equal importance is given to extra-curricular activities for those who excel in their academics, same for sports as well. Pre-placement trainings are good. Students are not given any handouts as such but most of the teachers share their presentations with them.
The college is located in Pollachi which is well known for best climate throughout the year. The main plus point is that staffs are very friendly and will help us in all the situations. The college has tied up with lot of leading industry experts such as Altair, Siemens, Bosch, TUV Rhienland, Microsoft etc. Other than this the college is allowing us to participate in international events such as SAE BAJA, SUPRA, Efficycle for core stream and other events for code and circuit stream. Placements: Our college has received NAAC A+ three times, and that too continuously. At present, there aren't many placement opportunities at most of the colleges, including ours. But if you have the skill and creativity, you get placed asap! And more than 50% of students are getting placed, and most of the students with good skills got placed early. From 3-10LPA. Most of the students got internships.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students got selected for campus interviews. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Tata Consulting Services and Arun Excellence were the main recruiters. Many other IT companies visited for campus selections. Almost 90% of students got internships in our college.
Placements: Our college is a good placement office. Many companies come to the campus to recruit students from our college. Intel company yearly hires many students. Almost 90% of the students get placed from college. Many companies are permanent. Many students are placed in companies like Carsoft and Bosch.
