Review of DIET - Dumkal Institute Of Engineering And Technology.

Placements: If you are from the mechanical branch, then you can get placements, but the salary packages offered are very low. There are no placement opportunities for other branches, and they have to find jobs on their own. However, this department may help you. Previously, companies like TCS, HCL, etc., used to visit our college for placements. But currently, companies are not visiting our campus for placements.

Review of Dumkal Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placements in the previous years were better than our batch. The companies that visited for our batch required mostly CSE and IT students, though some of the companies were allowing the students of other streams to take part in the selection process. The companies that visited for core streams were not providing good enough job prospects.

The only fault-campusing, its degrading every year. Not recommend any one.

Placements: Alright talking about placements, the college has always been fruitful to arrange campus interviews for the deserving students. The placement now is not that good like before but 30-40% studemts are still being placed every year. But is decreasing day by day. The college has lessened its ability for campus interviews.

Satisfied with the faculty. Good placement in 2013, and it has good infrastructure.

Placements: Very good placements are conducted by placement cell. TCS, HCL, and Wipro companies come here for the placements. Around 20-30 students are placed in TCS, and 8 students are placed in HCL. Around 75% of the students were placed in various companies. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3.2 LPA.

The placements are poor but satisfied with the infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: There are very poor placements. About 0% placements are there during past few years. But the overall situations are same in whole West Bengal. As it is very much backwoods to Kolkata, the companies hardly go here for placement. But I hope, in few years, it will increase. If someone attained regular classes, they would not be disappointed.

Good college, but not very good in terms of placement and infrastructure.

Placements: It is not that much good in terms of placement during the course or after completion of the course, but the alumni are placed in all sectors in very reputed positions based upon their skills and expertise. Recently, TCS started a campus placement drive in this college and lots of students are placed there. Otherwise, you can attend pool campus/ off-campus drives for opportunities.

Dumkal, a place unknown which needs a lot of development and support.

Placements: The placements in Dumkal never used to happen. Being in a remote area, companies hardly visited the campus and many students had to go out and search for opportunities outside. The students used to sit in off-campus interview drives to stand a chance to be placed. During our batch, only 5 students out of a total of 257 got placed. The annual package offered was 1.5 lacs, and there was only one company that visited the campus, Merce Technologies. The roles offered were software development roles ...

The faculty members and the lab of this college were good. The location where it is stated was also good. The faculty members were very friendly and they always help the student. The location in that area was rural but it was in a developing state so we enjoyed there very much. The classes taken were very helpful for students and they were properly guided for the semester exam.
