Gandhi Engineering College is a good college.
Placements: About 70% of students in ECE are placed. The average salary package is 3 LPA, and the highest is 4.5 LPA. They also offer a salary package of 7 LPA, but no one is able to clear that exam. The lowest salary package is 1.8 LPPA. The top recruiter is Infinite Solutions. About 30% to 40% of students get internships. The top role offered in our course is associate system engineer.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connections are quite good, and the labs are fine. The classrooms and the library are good. The food won't be that good because it will be too oily. The quality is not at all good. We will not consider it good because the food is not provided with that quality.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They always try to support the students and help them in whatever situation they need help from them. The course curriculum is relevant because the electronic stream will help us do basic solutions in our day-to-day life. Exams are not that difficult, but paper checking is not up to the mark.
Other: The electronics and communication branch is a kind of branch in which we can have knowledge related to electronic fields. We can choose any field with this. Doing any computer science course side by side is better for us. Everything is very good.

Satisfied with the 4 years tenure at GEC.
Placements: Almost 100% placement for 2014 batch in top IT companies like Infosys, Hexaware, Cognizant, Accenture. Used to get pre-placement training classes which helped the students to clear the interviews. Students were involved in an internship as well. There was, of course, a placement cell.
Infrastructure: Top-class infrastructure with all facilities like Labs, library, sports, games, medical facilities. Hostel rooms are spacious, neat, with good quality food. Didn't face any infra related issue during my tenure at the college. Labs and classroom were of top quality.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable, able to clear all queries. Teaching quality is also good. We had an industrial visit to Visakhapatnam. Had many IT-related sessions with companies like Infosys. Used to have extra classes to clear the queries.

I am dissatisfied with infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Placements are not good. Very few companies visit to hire students and offered a very low salary of Rs. 14,000-16,000 per month, which is not enough to sustain daily life in big cities like Bangalore. Only 30-50% of the students got placed. Most of the companies are IT-based and very few core company visit our college.
Infrastructure: However, college looks beautiful from outside, but its infrastructure is not that good. Wi-Fi connection is not bad. Labs lack in basic equipment. The quality of the food served in the hostel is not good. Most of the hostel rooms are damped. However, there are no issues with water and electricity.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well-qualified and helpful, but the college lacks in a number of teachers. The teaching method is good. The student-faculty ratio is very high. They provide industry exposure once in a year. Overall, teachers and teaching quality are good.

Overall, college is good to take admission.
Placements: Placements in our college were not good. However, placements are a little bit good for the IT sector. Placements for computer science and IT departments in their core subjects are not up to the standards, and even a single student didn't place from our college. Almost 10-20 students out of 400-500 students were placed in good companies. Our college campus and Gandhi Group campus provides an excellent opportunity for the students of Gandhi group.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. Our college has one central library and two small libraries. Our college conducts extracurricular activities. There is a huge playground for the students to play cricket, hockey, badminton, and also there is another ground to play basketball. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Overall, the infrastructure was very good.
Faculty: Faculty members of all branches are very helpful, and they always encourage the students in whatever field they are interested in. Some of the faculty members are from IITs'. The college has designed the course curriculum a bit like a GATE level course. The question paper prepared by the university is very bad as the question paper has only repeatedly asked previous 4-5 years questions. It does not have any conceptional questions. But overall, the faculty members are helpful for the students who want to study well.
Other: Fests in our college provide a significant platform for the students to prove their talents and skills irrespective of fields, i.e., programming or sports or mechanical, etc. students can perform. Campus connectivity is also good.

Good college but students should be provided more freedom.
Placements: There was no such internship opportunity provided by our college. Students have to search internships on their own through online portals. Executive placements for our batch were almost 90% and the highest salary was about 3.04 LPA, lowest salary was about 1.2 LPA and the average was approx. 3 LPA. The above figures are not verified by the college and it may differ with actual records.
Infrastructure: All the hostels (except for 1st year hostels) and main building were fully Wi-Fi equipped. Condition of classroom was good and under CCTV surveillance during class hours. Library had almost every text book that the students need and the students can access library 24*7 for studies. All labs were well maintained and well equipped. College had on campus doctor and two ambulances. College had a volleyball and a basketball court. Rooms were given on two persons per room with an attached bathroom. They also provide bed with mattress and a table and chair for each inmate.
Faculty: Faculty members were good as some of them were exceptional as well as very helpful. They generally used board to teach and sometimes PPTs as well. The course curriculum was very well designed and helps students to get deep knowledge of their subjects. Student faculty ratio was approx. 3:25.
Other: At the beginning of 4th year, training & placements office organises pre-placement classes which focuses on preparing students for final placements. This practice was very helpful because at the time of placements students were already prepared and there chances of getting selected were more.
