My experience at GITAM Hyderabad .

Placements: We had a great experience in our placement program. We received really great training from our college through a third-party company. They provided us with a good platform to learn, practice, and test our skills. We also had offline training sessions for face-to-face interactions. Several companies came, like Accenture, Oracle, and EYGDS, etc.

Infrastructure: We have great infrastructure to learn, enjoy, and grow as a person. We have almost all facilities, and many of them are of the highest quality. All our classrooms are equipped with top-end projection and sound systems with pretty fast Wi-Fi speed. This helps us learn in a more reliable environment.

Faculty: Our examination system is student friendly. We don't have much pressure to clear the subjects because most of the marks are scored in internals. For us, 70 marks are internal, and 30 marks are for the semester-end exam. Out of 70, 30 are for attendance, 20 for quizzes, and 20 for assignments.

Other: I was very interested in computer science and wanted to pursue my undergraduate degree in it. I always wanted to stay with my parents for my undergraduate education and chose this college.

Review of Gitam University, Hyderabad.

Placements: I don't know the exact number, but approximately 50 percent of students will get placed minimum. Tech Mahindra and Accenture are the top recruiting companies. A total of 83 members got placed in Tech Mahindra this year, and 91 members got placed in Accenture. Associate software engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good on this campus. We are having free Wi-Fi connection, AC classrooms with projectors, and advanced computer labs; mechanical labs are available here in GITAM Hyderabad. Hostel accommodation is good but not worth the amount we are paying to stay in the hostel.

Faculty: The faculty here at GITAM are very well educated, having good qualifications in their education. They have good knowledge on the subject for sure. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are moderate, but if you maintain good marks in internals, it's easy to pass the exam.

Other: I have chosen B.Tech computer science engineering because I have an interest in software companies and coding. Management of classes needs to be improved. One of the big events here at GITAM is Pramana.

Placements department is not up to the mark.

Placements: Around 50-60% students were placed in good companies. Few fraud companies also visited the campus. Top Company was Accenture which hired only 20 students. No proper response is given by the management for raised concerns. The performance of the placements cell is poor. They must give better training to the students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but the food quality is not up to the mark. Medical facilities are not properly available. There must be grills placed for the parapet walls for students’ safety. Traffic security is rude. The canteen’s food quality is not good but they charge high. Food parcels in carry bags are not allowed on the canteen, we need to bring plates which becomes very difficult to handle.

Faculty: Faculty members are somewhat okay. Fee to clear the backlog exams is too high. The curriculum is too tough. Exam syllabus is tough with 9-10 subjects per semester. They purposely fail the students to extract backlog fees. No gaps are given between the exams. Few faculty members don't even explain properly.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The highest package offered this year was around 50 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. Around 60% of students got placed in the placement drive. The top recruiters in our course were Capgemini, TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Silicon Labs, Oracle, JIO, BP, and many more.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are really good for computer science; you get smart classrooms, great Wi-Fi, and the library has a large amount of collection of books that will be very useful for the academic track. The labs are also well-equipped with systems, with different labs being equipped with necessary systems and specifications, which are also air-conditioned and are of a decent size.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are very generous and gracious, so they give you a bit of slack for not completing your work, but some faculty don't bother about anything; they just proceed as they wish and try to get the worst out of you and might even reduce the marks, starting the behavior as a reason, but not all of them are that way; the majority of the faculty is really nice and well trained; they are knowledgeable and are ready to help you in any way possible professionally. The semester examinations in the college are the easiest you will ever see compared to any college, as they are only conducted for 30 marks and are easy to score, as the curriculum is short, simple, and very relevant to the course of computer science. The majority of the courses are useful to make you industry-ready, and some of the courses are added for your personal benefit.

Other: The events, fest, and campus crowd are awesome until you hang out with the right people; the fest is an eye fest for one. Campus is surrounded with lush greenery and ample of open space with a lot of options for food and extra curricular activities such as football, basketball, tennis, cricket, badminton, volleyball, indoor games such as carrom, chess, fooseball, kabaddi court and Gym is also provided in the premises, scholarship is also provided based on three parameters, you should either have a sports background in which case you get a sport scholarship or you get give the Entrance test for GITAM and score good marks to obtain a scholarship based on rank or you can avail sibling/alumni scholarship where if you associate with any passed out member of GITAM or your siblings study in GITAM you can directly avail the scholarship.

The college is average.

Placements: Top recruiting companies are Virtusa, Amazon, Wipro, etc. They are the major recruiting companies of my college. There are also other companies like Infosys and Google. The highest package is 20 LPA for our previous year. The roles are like team leader, etc. The highest package is 40 LPA.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is not worth the money that we are paying. The hostel is very costly, like 15 thousand per month. The middle-class people can't afford that type of accommodation. Even though it is 15k, it is not value for money. The food is not that good.

Faculty: Semesters are difficult because of the relative grading. Some teachers are good in the teaching field. Some are just for the completion of the course. The curriculum is very tight and busy. We are also feeling very stressed because of that curriculum. But the main thing is weekends are holidays so we can relax.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in the CSE course.
