Candidates who have appeared for the final year of 10+2 and who are awaiting for their results are also eligible to apply on provisonal basis.

Review of GITAM School of Technology, Visakhapatnam.
Placements: Placements are good compared to all the past years and it has been a downfall last past two years. This year there is growth in placements. The lowest salary package offered to placed students is 6 LPA so there is a hope that it will get more improvement in the future period.
Infrastructure: The hostel is the best to stay and live. It has a great Wi-Fi supply and a great amount of books in the library and e-resources which are helpful for the students. Labs have the latest teach for the explanation process. In GITAM, most of the classes are smart classes. The food available in the campus canteen is equal to a star hotel and the food in a mess is good.
Faculty: Exams are tough and strictly conducted, and even in mid-semester, there is a pass mark. I do not like the marking style, and it is relatively grading. It makes the students write good answers and it causes them to get few marks. Every student is capable of writing answers greatly, and if all get the same marks with a difference of 2 or 3, then it shows a huge difference in CGPA.
Other: It has a good amount of crowd and great campus life.

Placements: 60% of students are placed in the college. The highest package was around 50 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. We got many top MNCs in our college. Many students got internships through our college, which were suggested by the faculty only. Data analyst and Software Engineer were the roles offered by companies .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is too good. Starting from classrooms and labs and the library, all are too good. Which are easily accessible to all of the students. The quality of the washrooms, hostels, and personal areas is way good and comfortable.
Faculty: The teachers are very good; they are much approachable to the students and also they are well qualified. The faculty over there teaches in a way that all the students get the right thing into their brains. We have a grading system called relative grading.
Other: I have chosen computer science because it has a really good future and also the maximum alumni have been placed through this course .

Placements: Gitam University has a fair record in terms of placements, with approximately 70 to 80% of students securing positions in decent companies like TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank, HCL, Amazon, Infosys, etc. Our college offers an average salary of INR 3-4 LPA and the highest package of INR 8-9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The institution has its own campuses in 3 major cities of India, and Visakhapatnam is one of the most beautiful campuses among these three. The college has all the modern facilities including large libraries, laboratories, seminar halls, auditoriums, research labs, etc.
Faculty: Gitam University has a lot of highly qualified teachers who hold doctoral degrees. In addition to this, our college also offers faculty development programs for their new faculty members. The curriculum is as per the latest requirements of industry demands; they have added 2-3 specializations in the CSE branch by 2023.

Great faculties, modern classes, great cafes, great stadiums, and excellent extracurricular options.
Placements: Almost 60% of students secured placements in our batch. The highest package is 30 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, and the average 4.5 LPA. The top picks included Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tejas Network, Deloitte, and HSBC. Almost 60% of the students also received internships in companies like State Street, Accenture, TCS, and a few parent organizations. High-level activities offered were software development, research, and core engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and is improving every day. The labs are good with all equipment and good computers. Wi-Fi is available everywhere inside the campus. Medical facilities like GIMSR Hospital are available inside the campus. Two grounds are available for sports and games, with one upgraded gym inside the campus with all the games available and equipment.
Faculty: Yes, the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable with good knowledge of smart classes. The curriculum provides us with a balance of both theory and practice knowledge in the subject. As Gitam follows relative grading, semester exams are moderately difficult, with a supportive learning environment.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for the subject and to get the opportunity to work in corporations. The course provides strong practical knowledge with theoretical understanding. I wish there were more industrial-based training and learning. Gitam campus offers a vibrant environment, from food to clubs and stadiums with newly built, best infrastructure. Events like Shore are very engaging and vibrant. Overall, the experience is very good at GITAM.

It is a good college having good facilities.
Placements: Our college has an average package of 300000 per annum. Many companies come every year to recruit students from our college. The highest package may vary from 15 to 30 Lacs, but it depends on the contribution of the students and knowledge.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities in our college. Our infrastructure is also good, we have e-classrooms with projectors and monitoring cameras. They have free Wi-Fi and have many labs. There is a big library and the mess is also quite good. Food quality is good in the canteens.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are knowledgeable and they are well educated with most of the faculty members having a Masters degree. The curriculum is nice and is less stressful. Many students can easily pass in this college as they have 70 marks for internal and 30 for externals.

No, B.Tech in CSE is tough to get. However civil, mechanical, etc., can be in your reach.

As per the information available on GITAM college website the admissions in B.Tech programs are based on the performance of GAT (UGTP) an entrance test. Further, 60% marks are required in PCM and aggregate at class 12th level. Hence, GITAM does not offers admission to engineering Diploma holders.

I think there is a mistake in your question.
Because GATE is meant for Post-Graduation courses but it can't make you to get into B.Tech
First of all, you have to complete your B.Tech to be eligible for the GATE.
But, if you want to join in B.Tech CSE in GITAM, you have to appear for GAT entrance ex

College change or university change after first-year is completely dependent on the college and university norms, some university allow it and some won't plus you need to have good scores in the first year to apply for the same. For further details, contact the college authorities.
