Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as options or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, or any other examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, with the mentioned marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) or equivalent along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from the academic year 2000 onwards. Candidates who have appeared for the final year of 10+2 and who are awaiting for their results are also eligible to apply on provisonal basis.

A college review by a student.

Placements: Nearly ten percent of students are placed in our course. The highest package was nearly 650000 and the lowest package was 350000. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, and many more. 100 percent of students got internships from our course, as it was provided by our college.

Infrastructure: There are many books and journals available in our college of different genres in our library. It is a big library with good infrastructure. There are many labs available, of all kinds. I have not chosen a hostel so I do not know much about it but what I heard was that first it was good, but later it was not up to the mark.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and highly qualified, having good qualifications. They are knowledgeable. The course curriculum was not relevant and not up to par. It will make students ready for industry. The semester is highly difficult and the pass percentage is forty percent.

GMRIT is one of the best engineering college in Andhra Pradesh.

Placements: The placement percentage this year was very bad because of the recession period and the placement percentage is 70 percent. The majority of the companies are up-and-coming, so the average package was 450000 per annum, and the highest package was 10 lacs.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very fabulous with an attractive manner and coming to the lab, the infrastructure is very good. Classrooms contain a lecture capture system so students utilize this facility if they are absent or better to understand.

Faculty: The curriculum is excellent by the faculty members; they are student-friendly and well-experienced, and they can teach with real-world examples for better understanding. Exams are very strict and correction is very fast. Results come very quickly after the exams.

Other: I am passionate about this course so I can choose it. Events and fests are conducted in a very good manner. Stepcone is the best technical and non-technical fest in the college .

Reality of GMR institute of technology.

Placements: Due to the recession, jobs were low in our branch. About 15% of students were placed, and the average package was 4.6 LPA. Recently, a few companies came along, and the roles given for them were not that big. Internship opportunities were okay for about 3 months and recently, in the 2nd year, a one-month internship was given.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good and the campus was covered with lots of greenery and play grounds. The gym facility was also there for sportspeople. Our college was the best option and the hostel infrastructure was also good but the hostel fee was too expensive. 24/7 Wi-Fi, hot water, electricity, etc. are available.

Faculty: The curriculum was okay but the faculty was not qualified to teach. Some are not educated but some are trying; there best teachers are good. Curriculum was so updated to newer trends that courses were added to the curriculum, and semester exams were not that easy to pass.

Other: There was an event Stepcone that was conducted generously, and so many technical events were conducted.

GMR college students—industry-ready.

Placements: 20 percent of students were placed in IT courses. The highest package offered in an IT course is 7 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Accenture and GMR are the top companies in the IT course at our college. One hundred percent of students got internships from our IT course in Mahindra, GMR Innovex. Software application development is the top role offered in the IT course.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our IT course are Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries. Free Wi-Fi can be used in labs for lab work. Classrooms are organized systematically. The food quality in the mess and canteen is above average. But sometimes the food tastes bad. GMR also encourages sports and games. They also provide medical facilities in emergency cases.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and experienced. The teaching quality is very good, but some of it is bad. The IT course curriculum involves a training and placement program, which makes the students industry-ready. The difficulties of the semester are above average. The pass percentage is 40.

Other: The IT course in GMR College makes the students industry-ready. The best thing about our IT course is that even though job placements are very low, all the students were provided with internship opportunities. I wish my college provided job opportunities. Events like annual days and step-cons happen yearly.

Dissatisfied with the placements in 2024.

Placements: 30% % students are placed. The highest salary is 6 LPA. The recruiting companies are accenture, wipro, Infosys, etc. The lowest income is 3 LPA. top roles offered are cyber security and software development. The roles offered in the companies are more varied and come in different packages.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good at our college. The department is good enough in terms of all aspects. The quality of the hostel, food in the mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are excellent. The faculty are more supportive in all terms and conditions.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful in all activities. The faculty are knowledgeable, and the quality is good enough. The course curriculum is relevant. The students are ready. The semester-end exams are not that difficult to pass. The pass percentage is good enough to qualify and clear the exams.

Other: I chose this course because I want to explore more of it. The best things in this course are some of the programming languages like C, python, Java, etc.
