B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2017

It is the best university in Goa for engineering.
Placements: Around 30% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft and I V P Ltd visited the campus. I am Not sure about which roles were offered. The average salary package offered in our course was 4 LPA. I don't know about internships. Most of the students went and preferred to do higher studies in USA and Germany. Many students also joined IIM and other top MBA institutes in India.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, well-equipped Labs, clean departments and classrooms, good and huge library are provided. Food in the hostel is not very good, but it is cheap. There are a lot of sports at our university. Gym, a normal canteen, a few stores and ATMs are available at our university.
Faculty: Teachers were very well qualified, helpful and down to earth. They help students in all possible ways. Even waited for us till late evenings if we needed the department open for our projects or competitions. The course curriculum is relevant. Students need a little industry experience which can be useful after their intern.
Other: I always wanted to do a Masters in Communication engineering, so I have chosen this course. We had good professors, and this was helpful. Our final year project was a hit all because of the professors. The college organises several events in a year named Tandav, which was an inter-branch event. Then they organise an event named Goals which is the biggest event, and it is an inter-college event. They also organise technical events.

The college offers good facilities and great faculty.
Placements: In our department, around 50% of our seniors got placed during the placements held in the previous year. The highest average salary offered was around Rs.1 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered was around Rs.10,000 per month. One of the top recruiting companies to our college was Wipro.
Infrastructure: Our department is equipped with a good library, Wi-Fi facility, good laboratories and common rooms for both boys and girls. But the classrooms lack some basic facilities like proper ventilation, projector and white screen, which are necessary in today's world.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and approachable. They are always ready to clear all our doubts and difficulties. The syllabus is very outdated, and it does not help the students in making them industry-ready. Hence it has to be revised.

Average faculty. Low fees. Good infrastructure. Average placement.
Placements: The placements were good. Most IT companies visit the campus and offer package of around 4 Lacs per annum. The number of companies in electronics area were less. One of the companies visiting the campus is sankalp semiconductors. They offered core electronics job role. There are no internship opportunities at campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but not as great as private college. You can expect all basic facilities in the campus. The hostels are pretty descent. There is no AC in the hostels but they are clean. Computer labs are well-equipped with all necessary software.
Faculty: Faculty is good but most of them do not go beyond their duties of taking lectures. There are very less guest lectures from prominent personalities. The course curriculum is not at par with the international standard and is decided by Goa university panel committee.
Other: There are many technology fests in our campus. There is also annual college fest with attracts lots of students from other colleges.

Best college in Goa with decent national rank.
Placements: The placement is quite good. Around 7+ companies recruited the individuals. Mass recruiting companies like Infosys, TCS, IBM, etc. are among the common companies every year.
Also, companies like Ivp, HSBC, Persistent Ltd., Tech Mahindra, etc. are the companies which recruit the students.
Infrastructure: Every field has its own department.
Every department provides the luxury of Wi-Fi services, internet connectivity, computer labs and other specialised labs according to the fields. The classrooms are very well-maintained with well-aligned desks, chalkboard, and a podium for the lecturer.
The hostels are maintained pretty well too. There are 4 hostels, and students are accommodated in each hostel accordingly, based on which year a student is in currently.
For eating zones, several places are available within the campus, like the college canteen, a restaurant, Monginis, Nescafe and small shops for maggie and samosa which is open till night for people staying in the hostel.
The college campus also houses the NIT Goa campus and have hostels for the NIT students.
Faculty: The faculty members are well educated and have a deep knowledge of the course taken up by them. The minimum qualification to be a faculty member is a master degree in the appropriate field they are applying for.
Apart from that, the faculty members are ready to help 24/7 with the academics as well as personal affairs.

Other: One of the best engineering colleges. It has a huge campus, as it is a government college fees is quite less and manageable for middle class families to roll in their budding son/daughter into high tech engineering college. You have every basic thing from scratch to learn unless you want to and if you don't than yes you enjoy a lot. Coming to placements most IT company visits our campus with an average package 3.5 lpa.
