A decent college. Overall, the college provides good exposure.
Placements: Placements of the college are below average. The college failed to place even 50% of students from our batch. Placement figures are inflated. Most of the companies that visited the campus were IT related and the job profiles offered weren't that great. Students were reluctant to go out of station as even the salary packages offered were low.
Infrastructure: The college has a good mix of ancient architecture with an addition of some new buildings. This goes with lab equipment also. But some of the machines and engines in the mechanical department are very old, and some don't even operate. A Kuka robot with 6 degrees of freedom is also present.
Faculty: The curriculum and faculty members of the college are age-old. New teaching methods are not incorporated. The course structure also has remained the same over the years. A strict curriculum is not maintained. Students miss a lot of classes. New teaching methodologies need to be incorporated.

A good college marred by some incompetent syllabus, teachers and a sub par infrastructure.
Placements: I'm still in 2nd year so I haven't been placed yet. A very small number of students, about just 25% from the final year have been placed from my department. In departments like IT, etc. And COMP, the placement percentage is above 75%. The salary varies from about Rs15, 000 per month to the highest recorded at Rs50,000 per month. Companies visiting are: cognizant, Mahindra, infotech, vedanta, sea, Crompton, wipro, Siemens, Tata etc. Our colleges emphasizes on the need for internship so the percentage is almost above 80%. I don't have an exact idea about the stipend they receive, mostly it is negligible. Internship is useful as you get exposed to the industry.
Infrastructure: Certain departments are very well-equipped example etc., IT, and mining. The mechanical department is very old and in need of renovation. Out labs are quipped with top notch equipments. The internet speeds are fast. We have technical events regularly. In terms of sports we have a statewide event called tandav. We also have a medical centre. The quality of food is average, I'd like more variety of non veg. The hostel is in a pathetic state. No proper and hygienic facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are very well qualified. But being a government college, some teachers are least bothered about students well beings. Some teachers are just too strict. Attendance over 70% is a must. The teachers use projectors to aid in learning. We have about 120 teachers (roughly) in college many holding Ph.D. and few with doctorates. We have field visits regularly to get industry exposure. We've been to Bosch, ifb and coca cola companies this year. The curriculum is a bit hectic and overwhelming.
Other: The event happenings is the most grandiose hosted by our college. We have many seminars and sub events including technical during a year. The campus is very large. Scholarships are offered to the toppers and reserved caste students. We don't have any extracurricular activities. The crowd connectivity during Events is great.

Worth joining the college.
Placements: The placements of my batch were better compared to my senior's batch. Because of demonetization, the companies hired only a few people in my senior's batch. Totally, 20 job offers were provided to my batch. Many people have got two job offers, so the actual number of students placed was 16 out of 70 students. The highest package offered was 8 lacs per year, but now that the companies have gone in a loss, so they may come from this year. The second highest package offered was 4.2 lacs per year. The average package people get is from 3.25 LPA to 5 lacs per annum. Only two core companies came, and rest all were either IT companies or local product-based companies. The internship is compulsory, and there is no stipend paid for it. There is a placement cell to look after all the placement activities, and it is the one that brings companies for us.
Infrastructure: Being a government college, it suffers a bit in infrastructure as the progress of development is slow. But, the good news is that a new building is coming up for many departments of engineering, so freshers will be able to avail the new building. But, the important point is that being a government institute, it has maintained itself better than many others. Now, the infrastructure is improving because of IIT as we share the same building.
Faculty: Compared to first-year, for rest all years, the faculty we get are good, this is because in the first year, mostly, all the subjects are taught by contract faculty, and they are not that good in terms of teaching, helping students, etc. The teaching method is mostly blackboard, but sometimes, a projector is used. The field visits are organized by teachers in every semester. The student-faculty ratio is approximately 20:1.
Other: If you are an event lover, you will love joining this college, as some or the other events are always going on in the college. You can find the details of them on the college website.

The best engineering college in Goa.
Placements: Placement is average in the college. Out of 70 students only 12 students got placed. In previous batch 15 students got placed. The average salary offered is 3 Lacs per annum. The companies visited are Adani, Vedanta and Quest Global. There is special placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fantastic. There are 7 department buildings and one main building. Classrooms and labs are average since they are very old. But the equipments in lab are sufficient to get good knowledge. There are separate buildings for girls and boys for accommodation. The hostel price is fairly cheap.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supporting. Most of the faculty is highly educated. Many professors in our department has doctorates. Our department head of department has two doctorates. The faculty of mechanical department is extra ordinary. The course offered to us is outdated. It is theory orientated and less of practical knowledge.
Other: HAPPENINGS is the most popular inter college event organised by our college in Goa. Our college also organises technical knowledge called SPECTRUM.

Good infrastructure and amazing faculty. I don't regret a bit by joining this college.
Placements: You can get a placement if you can cross the cutoff limits given by the companies. Most of the companies ask for 60% as average marks without any backlogs for placements. But it is hard to get good marks in this college. The packages offered were not high, but once you get into an organization, the increments are quite good.
Infrastructure: Every department in the college has its own block. We have a good computer lab, machines lab and an amazing library with all types of books in it. There are a good canteen and a couple of hostels in the campus. Many sports facilities are not provided.
Faculty: Mechanical engineering faculty is the most experienced faculty in Goa. They are very good at their work. There are instructors for workshops. Few of the faculty members are tough. Mechanical course in our college is same as all other colleges. But students will enjoy studying here.
