Government power and strong alumni connections.
Placements: I am from information technology, about 80% are placed in service-based companies that hire in bulk like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and the top 1% of students are selected in product-based companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, IBM, etc. About 40% of students got internships in their 3 years.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, according to a private college, due to the government tag, but it is good, not great. Wi-Fi is available all over the college, including classrooms and the library. The college has two hostels for girls and two hostels for boys, of which one is for out-of-state students.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, but some are very strict about rules. No, the curriculum is not relevant in 2023, but they are trying to improve according to the new education policy. Semester exams are quite hard compared to university exams, and the exams are conducted strictly.
Other: The extracurricular activities depend upon yourself. I chose this college because I am living in a neighboring city.

Top government engineering college in Maharashtra.
Placements: 1] 100% Placements for the IT branch in our college. 2] Amazon, Samsung, Zoho, Wipro, Ceat Tyre, Nvidia, Microsoft, Capgemini, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture. 3] The highest package is 20 LPA by Amazon, and the average package of our branch in GCOEA is 6 LPA. 4] Thank you.
Infrastructure: 1] Hostel facility is the best here, but it is only available for 1st and 2nd year for boys, and for girls, it is available from the first to the fourth year. 2] The canteen is available, but the food is not of the best quality. 3] Wi-Fi facility is available for students, and there is also a sports ground.
Faculty: Yes, all the staff of our college are the best, and the faculty of the IT department is very supportive of all students. Exams are strict and difficult, with 40 marks needed to pass in the ESE examination. Our IT branch is the best branch to study at the Government College of Engineering, Amravati.
Other: Thank YOU!

College is good for placements but campus life is boring.
Placements: I am currently studying my 2nd year in the IT branch and my previous batch had good placement; about 60 out of 75 students were placed in campus interviews; the lowest package was 4 LPA and was about 5 to 6 Lacs; and the highest was 14 LPA but due to the recession, the current placement percentage has decreased.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good. Currently, many departmental developments are under way, and Wi-Fi facilities are available. There are two boys hostels, but out of those, only one is open now and has good mess food in budget. The fee is about INR 800 to INR 2,000, and it is good for the budget.
Faculty: Faculty are good and supportive and teach many more things about the industry and more semester exams are very tough and hard to clear. About 50 percent of students are all clear. The hardest subject to clear is mathematics and engineering mechanics.
Other: Its placement percentage is so good .

GCOEA is a machine that turns stones into gems.
Placements: At GCOEA, a substantial percentage of students, typically ranging from 70% to 80%, secure good placements. Being a tier 2 college, it attracts reputable companies to its campus. In the current year, distinguished companies such as Nvidia and MRF Tyres have visited, offering packages exceeding 10 Lacs rupees. Additionally, core branches have seen visits from companies like L&T, providing placements with packages of 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi accessibility, ensuring internet availability throughout. The central library boasts an extensive collection of books. The overall infrastructure of the college is deemed good, and the institution is actively pursuing the Vision 2030 initiative. Notably, new buildings are under construction as part of this initiative, contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the college.
Faculty: The teachers at the college are described as helpful and also maintain a certain level of strictness. Given that the college is affiliated with IIT Bombay, the curriculum is considered to be advanced. The difficulty level of semester exams is noted to be high for the first two years and becomes easier in the subsequent two years. To pass, students are required to score 12 marks in the Mid-Semester Exam (MSE) and 20 marks in the End-Semester Exam (ESE), with the ESE being relatively challenging.
Other: The information technology branch at the college is reported to have high placement rates, with reputed product-based companies visiting the campus for recruitment.
