Satisfied because of excellent placements in 2022 .

Placements: Placement were below average till last year for mechanical but in 2022 batch, about 45 students were placed out of 65 whereas most of them were in IT companies with programmer analyst trainee role and about 18 were in core companies as project engineer role with 6+LPA.

An average college. Could be made better if in a better city.

Placements: In our class, nearly 64 students among which 15 students are currently placed with an average salary package of 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Companies that visited our college are Cipla, TCS, Siemens, Cognizant, and many others.

Government power and strong alumni connections.

Placements: I am from information technology, about 80% are placed in service-based companies that hire in bulk like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and the top 1% of students are selected in product-based companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, IBM, etc. About 40% of students got internships in their 3 years.

Good campus life but extremely disappointed by the placement result this year.

Placements: The college has had very poor placement results in the last few years, even in the CS and IT branches. The placement cell in college is nearly inactive and does not support students. And hence, very few companies visit college; only 60% of students get jobs. The highest package is INR 11 LPA; the average package is between INR 4 and 5 LPA. The lowest package is INR 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L & T infotech, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, etc. The top roles offered are Graduate Engi...

I am satisfied due to teachers, good placements in 2019, good infrastructure and facilities, etc.

Placements: From our course, about 90% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, etc., and many more startup companies. Many roles are offered in internships also.

If you are searching for a government college, then you can opt this college.

Placements: The college has a decent placement ratio for all branches along with a little edge for students approaching for IT sector. During our year, companies which visited here were TCS, Cognizant, NEML, Adani, L&T Infotech, etc. Relatively many students are granted internship opportunities.

Dissatisfied with faculty members. Placement is good and T&P department is very active.

Placements: 40 percent of students were placed with 4.5 lacs being the highest package. The recruiting companies were NEML, TCS. There are not many companies that visit for Instrumentation specialisation. The students of Instrumentation in our college either go for software companies or go for higher studies or go for government job exams. Instrumentation does not have a lot of scope of placement in our college.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, different rule, paper checking.

Placements: My branch is computer Science and engineering. In this branch about 90 percent of students placed in company every year. The highest package offered is 20 Lacs, the lowest is 2.5 Lacs and average is 4 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are tcs, tcs digital, cognizant, Wipro, L&T, Samsung, Nvidia and many more. Overall if we see the packages offered, there are very few companies which visited the campus for other branches except CS IT.

College is good only when you don't get any NIT or IIT.

Placements: Traditionally placement occurs in the final sem. but during my time it was bit different, cause placements happened throughout the final year and even after completion of the course. The highest salary was 6LPA (RARE) offered by L and T. Around 12 to 15 students were placed at the end, in companies like TCS, WIPRO, etc. Electrical is not that fun of branch in these college as project, and other activities occupies your whole time. The average package was 4 lac.

Good college for UG but not for PG.

Placements: Though the college has a good status in vidarbha region, the placements provided are not upto the mark. Talking about the placement of Environmental Engineering, not a single company visit here for placement drive. The placement is literally 0%. Also no industry exposure for PG also as they also don't allow students for industry oriented project.

It is an overrated government college of engineering.

Placements: Placements provided here are below average for core departments. Mostly software companies like TCS, Wipro and Cognizant, conduct the recruitments. Computer and IT branches have good placements. The average salary offered is ranged between 3-3.5 LPA. There is a placement cell in the college which also provides the paid low-quality pre-placement training.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: As we are from Nagpur, there are less opportunities and very little exposure as compared to metropolitan cities. The college provides the best placements for IT and computer students, but for other departments, it is less. So, if one urges for a job-seeking opportunity, then they can opt for CS or IT or can move towards some good cities, where better exposure could be found. There were almost 80-85% of placements in computer and IT departments and only 3-4% in core branches. MNC like L&T, Fiat, ...

I am satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: The college provides very few placements for M.Tech students. Hardly one or two students get placed if any company visits the campus. The average salary package of 3.4 LPA was offered to my senior by L&T Infotech. None of the companies visited the campus for recruitment during my tenure. I was offered a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month as I have cleared the GATE exam.

The college has good placements, infrastructure, and faculty members.

Placements: There are a high number of placements for CSE and IT branches. Many companies like TCS Digital, Persistent, Cognizant, etc., visit the college for placements. For core branches such as civil engineering, Reliance company visits the campus. Companies like Fiat, etc., visit for hiring mechanical engineering students.

In short, a college where you can develop yourself but with the help of seniors and not faculty.

Placements: Placements in the college were not that good last year. But this year, quite a lot companies have visited for placements, especially for the IT department. For the mechanical branch, there are very few core companies for placements. Rest of the branches have mass recruiters as their option. Last year, FIAT visited and provided placements to 2 seniors. Many other companies such as Triveni Turbines and others also provide placements.

Our college is good for non-core branches.

Placements: Placements provided in our college are good, but placements for core branches are the worst. The highest package offered was 8 LPA, and the average package offered ranged from 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The placement percentage was 60% last year, and the placement process is going on for the current batch, but till now, none of the core companies visited our college to recruit the students of the core branches.

This is a great place for self-learners.

Placements: There is nothing significant for core branches. Common CS and IT companies were the mass recruiters, which hired around 100 students from seven branches. Around 100 students out of 4,200 got placed in the college placements. Even 50% of the total students didn't appear for the placements, so 100 students got placed out of 2,100. Not more than five students got selected with packages greater than 5 LPA, that too in IT companies. However, the TPO in our college is proactive.

All the other things in our college are good, except for the faculty members.

Placements: The placements in our college were good during my tenure. Nearly 70% to 80% of the students got placed in the college placements. Most of them got placed in software companies and are working as a developer and tester. Placements of our previous batches were better than our batch. Companies that visited our college offered the salary package of around 3 LPA to the placed students.

The college is good and reputed but outdated at the same time.

Placements: Placements in our college are not good for core branches. Most of the companies that come for placements are IT related. The average package offered by most of the companies is nearly 3.30 lacs per annum. The companies that visit our college for recruitment are TCS, Cognizant, Fiat (for mechanical engineering), Persistent, and Wipro. There is a good scope for CS and IT branches.

Opt for other private autonomous colleges, if you want it only in the Vidarbha region.

Placements: Don't get your hopes high, while joining the college. As the placement for core branches (Mechanical, civil & Electrical) has decreased drastically in last 3 years. The average package of core branches for selected students was near 3 LPA, with maximum being 4.8 LPA for mechanical (1 Male & 1 Female) offered by Ford motors. Condition is similar for software branches as well only difference being high no. Of students placed in companies with average salary of 3.2 LPA.
