Good infrastructure and faculty but college is situated far away from town.
Placements: Almost all of the students are placed in the college. The number of companies coming for placement depends upon the course you selected. Normally, the number of mechanical companies coming for placement is less. But for other departments, there are good companies coming.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and it is sufficient for the students studying. The classrooms are technologically advanced. There is a common library for all courses. The hostel has high facilities, but the seats available there are limited. It is based on marks.
Faculty: The faculty members of the mechanical branch are highly skilled and knowledgeable. The professors are very helpful in studying and friendly in teaching. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make it ready for industry. Semester exams are moderately tough.

Classrooms are smartboards and are sufficient for 80 students. Hostel facilities are provided for both girls and boys. Hostel and mess fee is Rs.4,500.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college provide good education and support. They are qualified with PSC and had honored Master's degrees. The basic qualification to join as a professor is a master's degree. Our college is affiliated with KTU. It offers a B.Tech degree in 4 years with 8 semesters. Place to enjoy and study.
Placements: GEC Palakkad is a reputed engineering college in Kerala with good infrastructure and faculty. The placement scenario for mechanical engineering is decent, with 65% of students getting placed in companies like L&T, Kirloskar, DRDO, etc. The average package offered is 5 LPA and the highest package offered is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for mechanical engineering department are satisfactory. The department has well-equipped labs for fluid mechanics, thermal engineering, manufacturing technology, robotics, etc. The classrooms are spacious and have projectors and speakers. The library has a good collection of books and journals related to mechanical engineering. The Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus and the hostels. The hostel facilities are also decent. The men's hostel has about 200 occupancies and the ladies' hostel has more than that. Both are very clean and have canteen, mess, Wi-Fi, purified water, CCTV security and laundry services. The hostel feels are also very low. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is average. The college has a health centre on the campus to meet the medical needs of the students and staff. The college also provides sports and games facilities such as gymnasium, cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis, chess, etc.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They had good teaching skills and experience. They used various methods to make the concepts clear and interesting. They also provided guidance and support for projects, internships, and placements. The course curriculum was relevant and updated. It covered the basic and advanced topics of engineering. It also included electives, labs, workshops, seminars, and industrial visits. It made the students industry ready and enhanced their skills and knowledge. The semester exams were moderate difficult. Review of Government Engineering College, Sreekrishnapuram.
Placements: In our college, almost 35% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like BYJU's, Walkaroo, etc., visit our campus. Almost 25% of students get internships at TCS and Infosys. Top roles offered are senior mechanical engineer and mechanical trainee.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Sometimes, it is very slow and we can't connect to it. All facilities like projectors are available in our classrooms. It is very helpful to understand the class. There aren't enough books for students to take from the library. The hostel is a small building, so many students are staying in private hostels. The food at the hostel is average.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and compassionate when they take classes. There are few permanent teachers. Semester exams are not difficult. We must learn properly to get a passing grade. The pass percentage is less than 50%.

It also provides internet for all students and teachers through Wi-Fi, such as Kerala Wi-Fi and Adoc Wi-Fi. Our college has a canteen, which provides food as per our needs. Our sports department provides camps and training for zone-wise matches in all kind of sports like cricket, football, kabaddi, khokho, basketball, handball, etc.

Our department conducts industrial visits. Our faculty members are very friendly and provide good guidance. Kerala Technical University conducts exams over a six-month period. The level of examination is average.
Other: I chose this course because of the career opportunity in mechanical engineering. Our college union conducts events and programs at our college. Sports and arts days are conducted and they provide opportunities for students to show off their skills.
