M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2021

College has great faculty members but should improve in placements.
Placements: Around 80% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 22 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, TCS, etc. Top roles include app developer, cyber security, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: College had good facilities for students, and campus environment was pleasant. Campus infrastructure was good, with proper buildings. College had good hostels, sufficient classrooms, and labs for students. Library was useful for students.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and friendly to students. Teachers were well-qualified and have good experience in their subjects. Teaching quality was good. Semester exams were tough, and pass percentage was around 80%. Course curriculum was relevant.

A college with good infrastructure, atmosphere, and campus life.
Placements: Almost half of students got placed, with about 1000 offers received. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. Recruiting companies are Larsen & Toubro, Sobha Builders, Galaxy Builders, etc. Few students secured internships at government boys, while few got a chance at Sobha Builders and other small-scale construction companies. Top role offered is site engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities available are top-notch for all departments. Each department has a separate building, labs, and a vast library. Classrooms are digitalized and non-air-conditioned. The quality of food available at canteen is above average. All sports items have separate teams and facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, highly qualified, and well-experienced. Teaching quality is too good. Course curriculum is renewed this year and it is highly relevant and reduces industry-institution gap. Semester exams are average level. Pass percentage is almost half.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for this field and increasing opportunities in the field. College has several extracurricular activities and a national-level multi-fest named Dyuthi.

This is the 2nd best government college in the state after CET .
Placements: Less than 50 percent of total students were placed in the college. The highest package is around 15 LPA and the lowest package is about 2 LPA; it depends on the company and also your grade and marks scored. So you don't need to worry that hard but you have to work so hard .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too good or too bad; it is average. You won't get a government hostel if you are in the general category or if you have a high income so don't think about getting into a government hostel if you have to. WiFi is not available for mobile phones but it is available, which is not that good .
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are very qualified. After writing PSA exams, they have been getting this job so the quality of the teacher is average. The course I took is not relevant for getting a suitable job as it does not make a student ready for industry selection. Semester exams are average at the college.
Other: I chose this course because I didn't get admission to any other college. The worst thing about this course is that it is a high placement job course.

Review of Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
Placements: Almost every student will get placed during campus placement. This college has a minimum salary package of 5 LPA. Every student who gets placed will receive a minimum salary package of 5 LPA jobs. Speaking about companies that come for placements for mechanical engineering, they include Mahindra and Mahindra, MRF, L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: Classes are not well modernised but are okay, with fully equipped labs, workshops, and a library. Campus and hostel have free Wi-Fi for laptops only. Speaking about classrooms, we have a blackboard and a projector for slideshows and presentations. Canteen serves good food at affordable rates.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and supportive. They support us in studies as well as co-curricular activities. Course curriculum are relevant, but students must study to get good grades. They also need to sharpen their skills alongside studies.
Other: It is best college in Kerala for mechanical engineering. Main events are Thrissur Motors Show (TMS) and Dyuthi, which is a tech-cum-cultural fest.

Best college and good friendly lecturers.
Placements: The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, and Infosys. The highest salary package offered is 20 Lacs per annum. The average package is 5 Lacs per annum. Almost 80% percent of students got placed. The top roles offered are project manager and software developer. Around 60% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with good lab facilities. There are high-quality computer labs and clean classrooms; a library is available. The college will provide hotel facilities for students with home-made food and high-speed Wi-Fi. Our college has a canteen with some snacks.
Faculty: We have well-qualified lecturers. The faculty were very friendly and helped us in every situation. They teach practical and make every student more and increase his or her skills and abilities. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are tough. A college that provides good campus life, competitive students, but comparatively fewer placements.
Placements: 60–70% of students were placed, with the highest package being between 10 and 11 LPA and the lowest package being between 5 and 6 LPA. Oracle, Air India, etc. are the top recruiting companies. 20% of students got internships. The top role offered was data analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library and the labs are functioning well. Classrooms need some furnishing as well as modifications. Hostel facilities are satisfactory. Food is really good and healthy. The canteen provides good food at cheap rates. The physical education department also promotes sports and games.
Faculty: The teaching quality was not as good as expected. There are few teachers who are helpful and knowledgeable. But a majority of teachers aren't providing a good teaching method. The course curriculum is quite relevant, but it still has to improve. Semester exams are medium-level. Pass percentage is about 90–95%.
Other: This course is demanding, and since the course upskills me, I will always be happy with it. I wish to improve the extracurricular activities and mentorship. Events and fests are as good as expected.
