Every student who gets placed will receive a minimum salary package of 5 LPA jobs. Speaking about companies that come for placements for mechanical engineering, they include Mahindra and Mahindra, MRF, L&T, etc.

A good place to explore and learn
Placements: More than 40 percent students are placed while others pursue higher studies. 2 years ago 50 lakhs was the highest package. Nowadays 10lpa is the highest and 3lpa is the mininum. Top recruiting companies are MRF, TCS, INFOSYS, SIB, L&T, DELOITTE, HYUNDAI
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best faculties and infrastructure in all of Kerala. College campus had wifi ad well as a common library and department librarys. All class rooms are well ventilated with comfortable seats and projectors. There are 9 hostel blocks and a seperate block for first years.
Faculty: Our college has the second highest pass rate in Engineering in all of Kerala.over 75 percent students have passed. Our teachers are well qualified with most of them from IITs or NITs. They also have a lot of teaching and practical experience in their department.
Other: Our college is one of the prestiogious institution in Kerala. Students from all parts of kerala from kasargod to tvm come here. So it is a feast of cultural and knowledge. Since admission to here is based on KEAM , students here are well talented as well as well skilled.

It is my luck to get admission to this college because those 4 years are precious to me.
Placements: There are lot of placements in my college. For mechanical engineering, the top companies are MRF, Reliance, Saint-Gobain, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Almost 75% of students got placement from here. The average package they offer is about 4 LPA. The job role offered initially is that of a graduate engineering trainee.
Infrastructure: My college is one of the best colleges in Kerala. We have lot of facilities, like free Wi-Fi, labs, workshops, huge library, indoor gym centre, 2 grounds, etc. The hostel is very good. In hostels, we also get Wi-Fi. One room is for 2 students. Every room is big and has other facilities. Mess food is very delicious. Every day there is non-vegetarian food (chicken, beef, eggs, fish, etc.). We have a medical dispensary near the college.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are very talented and supportive. They teach very well and also help us for other activities like project, workshops, innovative ideas, etc. We have 8 semester in 4 years. Every semester, we have 2 internal exam and one main exam. To qualify for main exam, we need to pass the 2 internal exams. The pass percentage in our college is more than 75%.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering. Because I liked it. We have lot of practical workshops and labs. We gained deep knowledge of machinery, thermodynamic design, etc. Nowadays, design engineering has gained importance in professional field so give more importance to design aspects. In our campus, there is a strong bond between seniors and juniors. That's why we get lot of unforgetable moments in there. We have a festival named DYUTHI, usually held in october or November. There are a lot of cultural and technical events held in there.

Honest review of Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
Placements: There were almost 60 students in my class and many of them got placed in top companies like TTE, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Gulf Asian, etc. The lowest package was 4 LPA, and the highest was 12 LPA. Around 16% students got internship opportunities in Redbus, Simple Energy Pvt. Ltd., etc.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi availability everywhere in the college and even in the hostel. The labs are well maintained and we also have a central library. The hostel is affordable but being in PG has a much higher rate. Hostel food is tolerable and we have all the outdoor sports facilities, including football, basketball, etc.
Faculty: Almost all the tutors are IIT graduates and they teach well. The curriculum was almost half practical and half theoretical so that we could develop skills in both fields. Semester exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy and the pass percentage is 45%.
Other: Mechanical engineering has a big scope so we can switch into any field whenever. I wish to include more practicality in the curriculum so that the students will be industry-ready. The campus is jolly and so much fun, including cultural festivals and all.
