Review of Guru Ram Das Institute of Management and Technology.

Placements: About 30% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was about 2.75 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was about 1.5 LPA. MNCs did not offer any placements in our course, either it was a startup company or the consultancy. The top roles offered by the companies were either a site engineer or supervisor, nothing much above it. The college doesn't provides internships to the students. Students have to arrange themselves.

Infrastructure: Except for the library, there is nothing much good in our college like lab facility. The necessary equipment is not available sometimes, and students have to wait or skip the experiments. There are no smart classes in our course. The hostel and mess facility is somewhat good. Medical facilities are available, but not at a large scale. Sports facilities are good but not pretty good.

Faculty: This course is relevant, and students get ready for industries, but only when there is good quality education provided by the colleges. Teachers are not that knowledgeable. Teaching quality is not as students expected from college. Teachers are helpful in nature, but they are not helpful regarding teaching. A fruitful knowledge is not provided by teachers, and they only expect which is written in the books or mentioned in the syllabus. They are not even interested in any type of technical events. If anybody wants to conduct such events, there is nobody to support here. All students are the learn and write the examination without any practical knowledge. There are no conferences. Workshops are conducted rarely. There is no competition. Sometimes I feel like I am studying in school, not in college.

Other: I am glad that I got admitted in this course because my profound interest is in civil engineering. As we know, it is known as the father of engineering, the best thing about this course is it makes you better industrialist, a designer and personalise your experience in civil engineering. There is only one event organised every year, i.e., only a cultural fest. Campus surrounding is good, and it is surrounded by mountains and greenery. Students got scholarships only through the government. It's only a business hub, not an educational institute.

Placements: Right now college has a magnificent record in the field of placement from the last 3 year college has a giving student chance to the market in the local market as well as the national market. Right now student of this also doing work in private as well making their own startup.

Infrastructure: At the present time grd college has above average infrastructure also there is the construction mode on in each department which means that after some it CNA become one of the best infrastructure college in the Dehradun. Right now college has different building and different room for classes and trade.

Faculty: The curriculum of the college is according to the government university under which it came. Also the faculty of the college is helpful to this student and every teacher or facility is expert in their own subject with the master degree so that the can the solve the problems with easily manner.

Other: Also college has well connectivity toh the city and situated in one of the developed area also there week where there celebrity come in the college and also student can showcase their talent know as fest week.

Dissatisfied with placements in 2017

Placements: Talking about the placements in the civil branch, they are nil. There is no placement in core companies, however, BPO companies visit here and offer a salary of 8000 to engineers. None of the students got placed earlier in civil companies through this college. In short, there is no placement of civil students in core companies. They even don't help for the internship, so students have to go for it on their own.

Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with all basic facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, good classrooms, computer labs and sports facilities which are also good. There are separate fields for basketball, cricket, football and volleyball. Talking about the quality of food, it is average. Hostel rooms are good, having a separate washroom for each room. Room cleaning and mopping are done every day. There is no issue related to the infrastructure. There are even some new buildings under construction here.

Faculty: Faculty members and the HOD are qualified in the civil department. All of them try their best to give students all the knowledge regarding any topic through class lectures and PPTs. During our batch, there were some guest lectures by IIT Roorkee faculty members. The student-faculty ratio is okay. Our department has 5 faculty members excluding the HOD. The course curriculum.is useful, but not at the best level.

I am satisfied with the college in all aspects.

Placements: The percentage of the students got placed from our course was good as many students got happily placed, and have satisfactory jobs and internships. Top recruiting companies visited our campus, and top roles were offered. Students here were satisfied.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the course was happening and good. It was up to satisfaction, and people were highly satisfied. I was a day scholar, but my friends who stayed at the hostel were happy and satisfied with no complaints.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful towards students in terms of sharing knowledge and helping them in all aspects relating to college. They were well qualified and knowledgeable and were up to the mark with their subjects. The teaching quality was very good as they made the sessions very interactive and happening.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it, and to have a future in this industry.
