A Summary of Hyped-Up College UPES.
Placements: This year the highest package was 16.8 LPA in the School of Computer Science in UPES. The lowest was not mentioned though, but the highest package advertised by them is 50 LPA and a minimum of 8 LPA for B.Tech and 33 LPA for Computer Science. They have advertised Microsoft even though our college is banned by Microsoft.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really great and is spread over a large area with an adequate amount of greenery. Although the classrooms are not that developed, it has a capacity of 60 students in normal everyday school benches, not like the ideal college type. The Wi-Fi connection is okay, sometimes working, sometimes not. The library is okay too, not very spacious, and does not have many physical books.
Faculty: The curriculum is okay, but the faculty is not that good. All the teachers I have do not have much experience and knowledge of the subject, which is really bad compared to the tons of money we are spending for quality education. The semester subjects are okay, but the syllabus seems useless and comes of no use in the future.

College is very good, one can go for
Placements: This college offers 100% of placements. The highest salary package offered is 75 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7.92 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4.05 LPA. College targets famous companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Tata, etc. Also, the annual salary package of the top 10% of students is 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is a good Wi-Fi connection which is secured and also encrypted. There are spacious library with air conditioner having 3 floors and separate charging points on each table where the are rooms for group discussion. Coming to sports this college has more than 10 sports like cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, etc., with separate grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified helps to clear all our doubts. They have PhD degrees and are full of knowledge. Course curriculum is quite different from others which focuses on self-development. From day 1 the subjects are only related to computer science, In fact for 1st year Chemistry is removed.

UPES Dehradun: The real experience you must see before joining the college.
Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed. Because of the recession, placements have been pretty bad and for that reason, the highest package has only been 18 lacs per annum so far. The faculty members are okay, and the overall course material is good. Companies have come for the SDE role and most of them are for sales. The college wanted to keep their 100% placement record. They called many companies, despite the job role they provided. Many students rejected the job offers as they were not willing to join the company for the specific role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is good, with a lot of greenery, as the campus is located in an isolated place in Bhidoli, Dehradun. The girls hostels have pretty much hotel vibes to them, whereas the boys hostels are nothing when compared to them. The food in the mess is good.
Faculty: Senior faculty members are good; the new ones are kind of okay. The semester exams are tough but if you complete all the topics according to the course plan, then it is pretty easy. The overall material is good and there are a lot of opportunities for you. You just have to involve yourself with the senior faculty members and always be aware of what's going on around you. The college also provides technical training to the students so that they can crack interviews.
Other: Overall, college isn't that bad and has many opportunities if you're working hard.

Good infrastructure and pollution free campus.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Xebia, etc. The college also provide a mandatory internship to all students, which improve their skills. And the placements depend on the student's skills only. Placements are pretty good, and college provides all the necessity for getting a better placement.
Infrastructure: It is hard to get into campus hostel but there are so many hostels outside the campus.
Also, the campus infrastructure is beautiful and equipped with all the necessary stores like dominos, food mart, infirmary, stationery, salon, gift store and 3-4 cafes.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful. It helps in every aspect of the course; the teachers are also too experienced and the course is updated according to new norms and one that industry needs. Semester exams are a bit tough but if a studious child pays attention in class and starts studying 3-4 weeks before exam, they can score well.
Other: Fests are Uorja, Spandan and many more.
Campus is a bit crowded but that's not a problem.

Good placements for people who work hard.
Placements: Good placement opportunities are present in this college. The latest companies with the best employers visit the campus every year and they provide a lot of internships and job opportunities to the students. There is also proper training conducted before the placement activities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is overall good and beautifully designed but the campus is a bit small in terms of area size. The labs are fully equipped with computers and the library is fully equipped with all the course books required. The hostel here is very good and the food is also good with a peaceful environment.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is good here. The course curriculum is overall okay with respect to today’s market and the students are made industry ready. The semester exams are also of proper university level.
Other: Fests are good but the scholarships are less in number as compared to the other colleges .
