Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs at Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science and Commerce

Unfortunately, based on the student reviews and feedback, it appears that the college does not have a dedicated placement cell specifically for B.Sc. programs. According to some students, the college shares information about off-campus interviews with students, and teachers may offer guidance and assistance during the application process. However, there is no mention of any formal placement services or initiatives targeted towards B.Sc. students.

Here's a summary of the relevant statements:

* "We have a very good placement cell." (Note: This statement refers to the entire college, not just B.Sc. programs)

A good college with a good campus.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placements. They give good guidance regarding placements. But you can get good opportunities. The college gives a good number of internship offers. This course is also good. About 60-80% of students got placed. Almost all top companies are included. I have no idea about internships. Roles offered are PR head, CP, VCP, CL, and ACL. The highest salary package is offered in the course.
Infrastructure: The library is quite nice. Students can access past semester papers. As far as the canteen goes, the food is palatable and affordable too. Classrooms have an old-school aura. For sports, selection takes place every year. Moreover, coaches train students to get into championships as well. We have labs, classrooms, and a library in our college. For Wi-Fi, we don't get the passwords but it's available. There are no hostels. Sports and games facilities are up to date and always happen around the whole year. We have a canteen right next to Starbucks, and it is surrounded by all Jain vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. holders. They are highly educated and cooperative. They push students to apply for many exams and notify them about vacancies in the industrial area. Semester exams are indeed hard but not difficult. To ease this, teachers take mock or weekly tests to help students prepare.
Other: I wanted to pursue a life in academia. I heard that they have a funded research department called GNIRD and enrolled. They also post notices for scholarships that female students can apply for. There are a lot of extracurricular activities to be a part of, so we can take the form of credit courses.

Our college provides good infrastructure.
Placements: The highest salary offered is Rs.12,000 per month and the lowest salary is Rs.7,000 per month. Internships are not provided in our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Library is very congested for girls but it is comfortable and very good. Our college doesn't provide Wi-Fi for students. Canteen is not affordable for some students and the food is not good. Medical facilities are not good but sports are very good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are understanding, helpful, and supportive. Semester exams are very easy if students the classes. Some staff members are good but annoying.
Other: I chose this course because I want to learn new things and culture. Improvements are not needed in our course. Many events and fests are organised in our college. Each class consists of 120 students.

Review of G.N. Khalsa College.
Placements: For B.A. students, there are no on-campus placements provided. Students have to find the placements on their own. College does not provide placement opportunities on campus for courses like B.A. So, students have to look after placements at their own risk.
Infrastructure: Course is quite relevant and provides a good opportunity, only if we know our future goals. College does not provide hostel facilities, so we need to figure out the accommodation on our own.
Faculty: Exams are conducted quarterly each year. Since the course is for three years, exams are conducted 6 times throughout the course. Each semester will have external exams for 75 marks and internals for 25 marks. In the first year, we have all the subjects. In the second year, we need to choose two subjects. In the last year, there is only one subject which is required for our degree.
