Great place to find a good career if you’re willing to sacrifice college life.
Placements: Almost 70 percent of students who looked for placements got placed by the end of the third year. The highest package, to my knowledge, was 16 lakhs per year. McKinsey and Amazon were some of the top companies recruiting students from my course. About 30 percent of students got internships in my class from companies that were local to Mumbai, and some others got internships with companies all the way in Bangalore. Statistical analytics, data handling, etc., are some of the roles offered after the bachelor's degree.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are top-notch with smart facilities, and the library contains tens of thousands of books where we can find almost anything that we look for. Although the Wi-Fi facilities offered were bad, and we rarely got network on campus. The mess and canteen are very good, offering food from all parts of India. The hostel is mediocre, and sports and games are not given importance; the college doesn’t even have a football court of its own.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, and the teaching quality is always maintained. Surveys are conducted each semester to maintain teaching quality; however, little is taught to make students ready for work. Semester exams are relatively hard, and the pass mark required is 40 percent.
Other: Events and fests are really overrated in the college; I personally found nothing enjoyable, and it is always too crowded. The campus is very small, hardly any space for all those students.

In St Xavier's college, you feel like you are at your home.
Placements: For placements, companies start visiting our college in the second year only. Our college provides a placement cell which plays an intermediate role between students and companies. Companies schedule their pre-placement talks with students. Interested students further initiate the process to get selected in the organisation.
Infrastructure: It is a very old and known college so to maintain its aura and name. Our college always focuses on its infrastructure. The basic infrastructure model is the same which was made at the beginning of the college. Only some modification is done in the new buildings. Overall, our college has a great infrastructure with every facility which an institution should have.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very helpful in every way and are also very supportive. Our college focuses on every student and tries to provide us with the best teachers.
Other: Due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, our college is currently organising online exams, and I hope the college will reopen soon.

    Very good placements in 2021.
Placements: A large majority of the students get placed every year through placements. Top recruiting companies are mainly consulting firms like McKinsey, Brain, Accenture, Kearney etc. The highest package offered in 2021 was 24 lpa. The average package is around 7 - 8 lpa.
Infrastructure: The quality of the classrooms and library is very good. Being an old historic college, they have maintained to preserve its infrastructure. Hence major improvements are not made in terms of infrastructure. The quality of the Wi-Fi and network is poor but the canteen is very famous among students.
Faculty: The teaching quality was good. Teachers are knowledgeable and approachable. The course curriculum in particular is very impressive and in line with the industry standards. 40 percent is the pass percentage. Each 100 mark paper is divided into smaller assessments like projects (two 20 markers) and a main written paper of 60 marks.
Other: The extracurricular activities are famous all over India. Malhar is one of the largest fests in Asia and students learn a lot during the fest. The internship opportunities are also great thereby reducing the burden of students to look for opportunities outside college.

It is the best college for arts.
Placements: I did BA in English literature, and 80% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Purplle, Covian Technologies Pvt Ltd and Savage & Palmer. Almost 75% of the students got internships, and the top roles offered were content writer and graduate trainees.
Infrastructure: The library is one of the biggest, with a plethora of books in every genre. On-campus Wi-Fi works quite well, and classrooms were big enough to seat 120 students comfortably. Language labs and the multimedia room were air-conditioned and spacious. The range of cuisines was exquisite in the canteen, and the quality is top-notch. Sports offered are throwball, hockey and shotput.
Faculty: Teachers are well-approachable, and the quality of the teaching is very good. They all had a masters degree. The course curriculum is real-life theme-based. Hence it makes students ready for using that knowledge practically too. Semester exams were easy to crack if the syllabus is studied well.
Other: English literature always intrigued me, so I opted for it. Teachers have experience of at least 5-10 years and are very approachable. The annual fest named Malhar was the most-looked event every year as it was filled with fun.

A space to learn, grow and fly high.
Placements: The placement cell at Xavier's is a good opportunity for students to gain a hands on experience with their knowledge and skills. The highest package offered at the placement cell is 12 LPA and the average package offered is 4-5 LPA. 5-10% students got an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of St. Xavier's College is fabulous with its historic legacy. The classrooms are airy, huge and comfortable spaces. There are 2 libraries at Xavier's; one is the reference library and the other lending library. The reference library is a great place for students to study. The canteen facility is good with a variety of food options available. It also has a huge Gymkhana.
Faculty: The professors in each department of St. Xavier's college are knowledgeable, approachable, qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is excellent with a lot of in-depth discussions regarding the topic being taught along with fun debate sessions. The course curriculum is well managed within each department and relevant.
Other: Apart from the faculty, infrastructure, administration, the college is a hochpotch for several departmental events and festivals taking place throughout the academic year. The extracurricular activities are compulsory for every student as they gain points throughout their entire degree programme which gets calculated. Apart from the fulfillment of the point criteria, the students gain, absorb, develop through these enriching life skills.
