HIT: The iconic four pillars in Haldia Institute of Technology.
Placements: Companies do come, including the mass recruiters. You get a lot of time in 4 years to shine, which you will not get in any other college. Being honest, I know a lot of seniors who are getting packages more than 12 LPA, and I also know a few who are jobless (because in 4 years they drank, enjoyed, took drugs, and did nothing).
Infrastructure: The campus facilities and the hostel at the college were impressive. The classrooms were equipped with modern technology, and the library had an extensive collection of resources, both in print and digital formats. The laboratories were well-maintained and had the necessary.
Faculty: There are a lot of extracurricular activities you would want to explore. Most of them happen in the even semesters. And the most important, which I really enjoyed, is that you can survive here with really low attendance. Coming to the academic part, scoring here is really easy in exams. So even if you want to explore other technologies or prepare for a competitive exam, you can give time for that.
Other: The student life at the college was vibrant and engaging. There were numerous student organizations and clubs catering to a wide range of interests. The campus hosted regular events, including cultural festivals, guest lectures, and sports tournaments. The diversity of the student body fostered a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, promoting cross-cultural interactions and understanding.

It is the best private engineering college for post-graduation.
Placements: Our college provides good placements for the students of masters. Last year, the average placement rate was nearly 70%. So, until now, there are no issues with placements. But for students of post-graduation, our college should provide internships, and the placement cell should think about it.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are well-equipped with the necessary equipment. Computer labs are air-conditioned. There are separate buildings for workshops. Food served in the canteen is good in terms of quality, and food items are affordable. The canteen is neat and clean.
Faculty: All the faculty members in our college are from either highly-reputed industries or colleges. They are student-friendly. They take special care of every student in our class during the lecture. They are highly knowledgeable. I don't have any issue with the faculty members.

The college is not good and not bad.
Placements: Mostly IT companies visit the campus. Major placements are in the branches of computer science, electronic and communication, and information technology. There are a few placements in the core branches like mechanical, electrical, and civil. The placement in the other branches like chemical, biotechnology, and food technology is excellent.
Infrastructure: The whole college is Wi-Fi enabled. Although, the Wi-Fi speed is low. It has one of the largest libraries in West Bengal. The labs are good, especially in the core branches. The food quality in a mess is average. The hostel rooms are good. There are two playground fields.
Faculty: A few faculty members are awesome while a few are average. The classical method of teaching, as well as modern method of teaching, are practised here. You will get the industry exposure in 3rd year itself. Recently, NBA visited the different branches of the college. Overall, the course curriculum is good.
Other: The college has many events and workshops. In April, (Prayukti, college fest) has been organised every year. The cultural fest also takes place in November. The campus is located in the remote area from Kolkata. It mainly has two connectivities(bus and train).

Other: This is a reputed semi-government institution. The college has very good faculty members and their way of teaching is excellent. There are good job opportunities and the college helped us with a great number of industry relations. The laboratory conditions are very good. The environment is student friendly and the campus life is awesome. I will recommend HIT to everyone, mostly for B.Tech though. Also, the course fee is economic and the M.Tech fee is the lowest in West Bengal.

Other: It's a beautiful college with nice faculties. They taught every students to become a software engineer or food tech engineer. Or else there is no job in the market no matter what your trade of graduation is... Apart from that it's a nice and beautiful campus. But it has got the ragging problem. If you are a junior and try to make eye contact with a senior the very next moment you are a dead man. And the police of local police station is not having a good view about the students of this college.

Review of HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology.
Placements: More than 80% of the students get placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and other start-up companies. The highest salary package offered id 24 LPA to a student gone through off campus. There are high rates of in house internship, i.e., by gaining the knowledge of the work and how to do it by a training organised by the college.
Infrastructure: Our college has a huge infrastructure with wide landscapes. There is a lot of fresh air to breathe inside the college campus, which itself contains 7-8 hostels, including the girls and boys hostel. There are 2-3 blocks of building as the teachers quarter with a separate building for a library. Garden and restaurant are available. The canteen serves great food, and juices are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified. Some teachers made it to receive national-level awards with their breakthrough experiments and inventions. The course curriculum is relevant as it is from the last so many years. However, it is changing with the addition of ML, cybersecurity and AI under computer science stream, which is supposed to take effect soon.
Other: Our college is good value for money, and it also depends on your own level of satisfaction.
