It is a good college, if we want to spend our college life peacefully.
Placements: Top roles offered here are usually in the IT area like SDE and research analyst. Also when it comes to core companies, IOCL and Haldia Petrochemicals hire students first as graduate trainee. They are offered a PPO based on their performance and vacancies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not as good as other colleges but we can make it. Library is huge and comes with a big database of books as well as magazines. There are lots of space to study. Hostel is also not upto the mark. The food served in the mess is really something we should avoid. There is a gym and medical facilities are available on demand.
Faculty: Teachers are amazing, and they actually help us. They are also in research so it makes environment a bit creative. The course curriculum keeps changing in accordance with industry standards. Semester exams are a bit hard but it only encourages students to do their best.
Other: The location is impeccable. It is serene and we can live quite peacefully here.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.8
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements in 2023.
Placements: In my chemical batch, nearly everyone was placed. Some seniors pursued higher studies; that's why they didn't participate. Otherwise, the placement percentage is 96% and higher. The highest package is 26 lakhs, the lowest 2.6 lakhs, and the average is 6 lakhs. Top recruiters are HPCL, Tata Chemicals, Reliance, Adani, etc. 89% of students joined internships, and companies include HPCL, Tata Chemicals, Reliance, and many more. Top roles are process management, waste management, plant manager, operation engineer, quality control engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is very good and full of nature. Wi-Fi is available everywhere. Classrooms and the library are very big, and there is a huge number of instruments in the labs. The library system is also excellent; book issue and return are so easy through smart cards. In the hostel, the quality of rooms is good but needs upgrading from time to time. As for the hostel food, you can understand. But mess and canteen food are excellent. A medical hospital is there, and a permanent ambulance is there. All sports are available like cricket, football, basketball, and many more, and board games are available like chess, carrom, etc.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good. With smart boards and the help of projectors, it's very interesting. Many students have qualified for GATE through this academic learning. This course provides industry-ready and relevant learning. Exams are moderate level and good for those who learn. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I chose this course because Haldia is a hub for chemical engineering and because of the core engineering demand in the upcoming market. The experiments are based on the old syllabus; it's time to upgrade. Fests are very good, and the campus is always full of crowds. Many beautiful places are there outside of campus, like malls, riverside, markets, etc. All government and private scholarships are accepted.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2023

Brutally Honest Review!
Placements: In my course, approximately 55% of students were placed in MNCs, and the total placement was 70 to 80%. Be assured to have 60% or above in 10 and 12 along with a maximum 2-year education gap. The highest 45 LPA off-campus Amazon only for girls. Next 15 LPA off-campus. On-campus maximum 9 Wiley Edge. The average is 3.5 LPA. The lowest 2.4 to 0. No core company for ECE. Even if a core company, most are local companies offering below-average packages. Mostly IT service-based MNCs recruit. Students have to arrange their internships if they can off-campus. Roles offered are fresher roles in IT service companies. 2023 was the last year when market conditions were good. 2024 saw a massive dip in placement, maybe 20% of the total batch, and with changing market dynamics, things can get worse for most engineering colleges. Core branches states are lower than my branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels free of cost. Classrooms are below average. Hostel rooms are below average. The library is good. 4 people stay in 1 room, very congested. The mess food is average, medical facilities are good, sports and game opportunities are there, a restaurant is there, and a gym is there. Seniors will rag juniors and damage junior's hostels and rooms. Damaged toilets take 1 week to repair. Common washrooms are there in most hostels.
Faculty: The curriculum is not up to the mark. Practical knowledge is below average. Some teachers were very helpful. Few are knowledgeable. Teachers have Ph.D. and Masters. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready, you have to work yourself. Semester exams are moderate, most students hate, and almost everyone passes. But most private engineering colleges have the same curriculum so can't help but criticize much.
Other: The college can focus on admitting quality students instead of direct admissions. The crowd is not that good from a career point of view. Students are unruly, ragging is still very much there. Physical and verbal ragging, especially for boys. Discipline should need to be improved. Good fests happen throughout the year, from a fun point of view, the crowd is good. Haldia is a remote location, 5 hrs journey to Kolkata. The campus is beautiful. Extracurricular activities are good. Haldia is peaceful. Good students will shine anywhere, the condition is, have good company and assess the people you'll spend your 4 years. A good college if you only need a degree and not much academic hassle. Good if you are preparing for competitive exams as you will get ample time.

Large campus area, absolutely good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The companies that come to our campus for recruitment are Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, IBM. Around 92% of students are placed with a better package. The average package is 5-6 LPA and the lowest package is 3-4 LPA. HIT has a dedicated training and placement cell that actively works to bridge the gap between students and recruiters.
Infrastructure: The college has satisfying facilities and infrastructure with a maintained library and classroom. In the hostel, Wi-Fi and other facilities are available, and all medical facilities are available. Sports facilities are available for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well-qualified. Most of the faculty members are great and supportive in nature, but some are very strict. Semester exams are moderate. A minimum of 35%-40% of marks is required to pass in the exam. I like the computer back. They should employ more skillful teachers to improve our course.
Other: Our college organizes fests, sports, and many activities. This is famous for the fest.

HIT: The iconic four pillars in Haldia Institute of Technology.
Placements: Companies do come, including the mass recruiters. You get a lot of time in 4 years to shine, which you will not get in any other college. Being honest, I know a lot of seniors who are getting packages more than 12 LPA, and I also know a few who are jobless (because in 4 years they drank, enjoyed, took drugs, and did nothing).
Infrastructure: The campus facilities and the hostel at the college were impressive. The classrooms were equipped with modern technology, and the library had an extensive collection of resources, both in print and digital formats. The laboratories were well-maintained and had the necessary.
Faculty: There are a lot of extracurricular activities you would want to explore. Most of them happen in the even semesters. And the most important, which I really enjoyed, is that you can survive here with really low attendance. Coming to the academic part, scoring here is really easy in exams. So even if you want to explore other technologies or prepare for a competitive exam, you can give time for that.
Other: The student life at the college was vibrant and engaging. There were numerous student organizations and clubs catering to a wide range of interests. The campus hosted regular events, including cultural festivals, guest lectures, and sports tournaments. The diversity of the student body fostered a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, promoting cross-cultural interactions and understanding.

Haldia institute of technology College review.
Placements: The highest package is 33 LPA in 2024. Top companies are PWC, Cognizant, and GEOG. The placement percentage is 80%. More than 91% of students got internships in big companies like Flipkart. The lowest package that the company offers is 3.8 LPA. Most of the students get placed in IT companies.
Infrastructure: In this college, the annual fest is Prayukti. There are cafes and stores inside the campus. Most of the colleges don't have clubs, and even if they have, they are not active. We boast about the activities inside; these are very important to the all-around development of the students.
Faculty: The faculty members are cooperating and supportive, and the Chemistry faculty members are my favorite. There are three exams in each semester: first is CT1, CT2, and end-sem. CT1 is easy, class-based questions, and the end-sem of the college is moderate. Most of the students cleared the college exam. The course curriculum of this college is the same for all the first-year students.
