Overall, the college environment is good.
Placements: Approximately 20–30% of students are placed in the core company and 30% are placed in the IT company. The minimum package is INR 2 LPA and the maximum is INR 6.5 LPA. Pinnacle Infotech in core and Infosys in IT are doing mass hiring. Many computer science and information technology students get internships at reputed organizations like PWC and E&C.
Infrastructure: Hostels are average and the food quality is also okay. The library has a good environment and a good book collection. Mechanical labs are good enough and they also use modern technology and software in all labs. Almost all outdoor game grounds are available at our college and every month, the college conducts tournaments.
Faculty: Yes, all faculty are well qualified and knowledgeable in their subject. After the 2nd year, all subjects and practicals give us hands-on experience with industry culture and 1 industrial training is compulsory for every student that gives us an idea of how to relate theory to industry.

Our college has good and supportive faculty members.
Placements: TPO helps students to get placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is top-notch. We have a playground in the hostel for outdoor activities. There is a special common room for indoor games like carrom, table tennis, etc. We are allowed to go to the terrace at specific times.
Faculty: All teachers are experienced in their respective fields. They focus on students. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it doesn't cause a burden on students. Students can focus on extracurricular activities and internship programs. First and 2nd-year students have to study hard to get passing marks.
Other: It is one of the best private colleges in West Bengal. Our college has a good campus. It is good in terms of education. The hostel rules aren't strict.

Good infrastructure but could be better for the fees charged.
Placements: Over 80% of students are placed in the Mechanical department. The lowest package is around 2.5 LPA, and the highest is about 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for the Mechanical department include HPL, ADANI Power, and Ambuja Cement. Various companies visit the college to offer internships, which are helpful.
Infrastructure: The library has free Wi-Fi. The classrooms are spacious but not air-conditioned. The labs are decent. P5 hostel and Ranichak are the best hostels, with good food. The campus also has a cafeteria and canteen with decent food options. There are two big playgrounds, a basketball court, and facilities for TT, a gym, and a yoga center.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, with many from reputed universities like IITs, and some are gold medalists. Most faculty members hold PhDs. However, some teachers have poor teaching techniques, which make classes boring. The question papers are set by the college itself, and the difficulty level is slightly above moderate. The pass percentage is over 95%.
Other: Placements in core branches, especially Mechanical, are quite good. The labs and classrooms are fine but could be improved in terms of infrastructure and facilities. Two major fests occur: RIVERA (cultural) and PRAYUKTI (technical), along with an Annual Cultural Meet, sports tournaments, and several seminars.

Value for money, and away from the crowd. Good placements.
Placements: Almost all students have been placed in the mechanical department. Many students have gotten offers from IT companies. Big companies like ADANI, WOOD, JSW, and many others come to core industries. If you work hard, you can easily get a good job in core companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good, with a big campus and football field, basketball court, table tennis court, gym, and restaurant. Hostels are available on campus, and they are also nice, especially if you are a girl. There are laboratories for 3D printing, welding, IC engines, electrical, and electronics.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers here are really helpful; you won't feel like not going to them for any kind of help. They help in all possible ways. Teachers have good experience and knowledge of their subjects. The course is standard, with a few good subjects like 3D printing. Semester exams are not tough; one can easily pass if one studies.

I’m thrilled to be a part of Haldia.
Placements: HIT is known for its core branch's placements so there is a 95% placement in mechanical engineering and we have lots of internship opportunities. In this academic year 2024-25, the highest package of the branch was 28 LPA, and the average was 5 LPA. If you are a dedicated student, you can easily get 10 LPA+ from here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is Good the college campus is huge; it has its own cricket and football ground; it has a very large library where lakhs of books are present. Labs are well equipped and managed. I am living in the Ranichak Boys Hostel. The infrastructure is average, like other hostels but we have here 24*7 wifi connection and also have a sports room where all the sports stuff are available.
Faculty: Teachers, aka professors, are very highly qualified and helpful; they guide us in each and every way possible. Rather then academics, they also guide about our placements and companies and the knowledge they hold is just amazing; they can make you understand the concept very easily.

I would refer you Haldia for mechanical because it has industrial exposure for core engineering departments whereas Techno does not provide such facilities.
