This college has satisfied me because of value for money.
Placements: In our college ECE placement was decent 50%-60% of students got placed in last batch. The highest on-campus salary package offered was 35 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. In our college, mass recruitment companies visit, along with other companies such as Wipro, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, Wi-Fi and other facilities were available but mess food was bad, but we had option to switch to another mess in college. Labs and classrooms were okay. In our hostel, all medical facilities were available. Sports facilities were available for both outdoor and indoor.
Faculty: All faculty members of our college were qualified and knowledgeable and teaching quality was good. All faculty members were very supportive but some were very strict. Semester exams were moderate we could pass easily in one night's study. Minimum of 35%-40% of marks was required to pass in exam.

Expect Good placements in 2025.
Placements: Placements are really good in this college. 92% of students are placed with better packages. The salary offered is 33 LPA, the average is 6.5 LPA, and 4 LPA is the lowest salary offered in our college. The top recruiting companies are LabVantage, Accenture, Capgemini, Capistech, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge infrastructure, plus points with a maintained library and classrooms. The quality of mess food is not so good, there is a lot of oil present in it. Our hostel has four shared rooms with four beds, chairs, and tables, with common washrooms. Sports facilities are there in hostels with a volleyball ground and badminton court.
Faculty: The course curriculum is really good with good faculty. Our teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent. The course makes students industry-ready. Our college is autonomous, so semester exams are not so tough. You can get a good CGPA with some hard work.
Other: I chose this course because of my WBJEE rank. I got a 16000 rank in WBJEE, that’s why I chose this course, ECE. I wish to get a good CGPA and upgrade my branch to CSE.

Haldia institute of good extra curriculum activities. You will enjoy in this college.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in the Computer Science & Engineering course. The highest package is 23 LPA, the lowest package was 1.5 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. Wipro, TCS, and Accenture are the top companies for my course. Almost 90% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Haldia Institute of Technology has old classrooms. Classrooms do not look good. Labs are good though. This college has good labs, and every machine and instrument are available. The hostel of this college is really bad. Every room is filled with 3-4 students. There is no closet in the rooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are not up to the mark. They are average teachers and have average knowledge about the course. Some faculty members are good; they help in the study of students. The course curriculum is relevant. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. 70-80% of students pass the semester.
Other: Haldia Institute of Technology organizes fests, sports, and many activities. This is famous for its fest.

This is a great college that you can get through WBJEE. Please go for it.
Placements: Very genuine placement records, as the college provides a great curriculum for placement, and many of the distinct companies visit for campus placement in every domain. The college crew ensures proper guidance for placement and development purposes. Satisfaction is achieved. The highest package was 33 Lacs this year.
Infrastructure: One of the best infrastructures in West Bengal. The campus is very beautiful, and even hostel facilities are great. I have personally been in the hostel, and the experience was great. The mess facilities and overall staff behavior are also very friendly.
Faculty: Faculty members are great here in every department, as they are supportive. Language is not a barrier here. Most of the staff use common language, and facilities are well-behaved and educated. The semester exams are not that tough. One can pass easily by focusing on class notes and assignment problems.
Other: Fests are great here, but some improvements can be done regarding extracurricular activities.

Good academics and decent placements.
Placements: The placement scenario at Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is commendable, especially for students in core engineering and IT-related branches. HIT has a dedicated training and placement cell (TPC) that actively works to bridge the gap between students and recruiters. The cell organizes pre-placement training programs, including mock interviews, aptitude tests, group discussions, and technical skill enhancement sessions, to prepare students for competitive job markets. Prominent companies such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, and Accenture frequently visit the campus for recruitment drives. Core companies like L&T, Vedanta, and Tata Steel also recruit students from mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering streams. The average placement percentage across branches typically ranges between 70-85%, with the highest placement rates seen in Computer Science, IT, and Electronics branches. The salary packages offered vary depending on the branch and the company. The average salary package is around 4-5 LPA, while top recruiters offer packages as high as 12-15 LPA for deserving candidates. Many students also secure off-campus placements and internships, further boosting their career opportunities. In addition to corporate jobs, HIT provides support for students aspiring to pursue higher studies or government jobs by organizing workshops and guidance sessions. Alumni networks and industry connections also play a vital role in helping students gain internships and job opportunities. While placements are generally strong, some students feel that non-IT branches could benefit from increased attention in terms of opportunities and exposure. Strengthening collaborations with more core companies and expanding the pool of recruiters can further improve the placement scenario. Overall, HIT offers a robust placement system, helping students secure good career opportunities and build a strong foundation for their professional journey.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure at Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is designed to provide students with a comfortable and conducive living environment. HIT offers separate hostels for boys and girls with well-maintained buildings and essential facilities. Each hostel is equipped with spacious rooms, which can accommodate two to three students, and rooms are usually furnished with beds, study tables, chairs, and storage units. The hostels have 24/7 security and surveillance to ensure the safety of students. Cleanliness is maintained through regular housekeeping, and hygiene is prioritized in common areas like washrooms and dining space. Drinking water is available through water purifiers and coolers. The hostels also provide uninterrupted power supply and Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing students to focus on their academics and stay connected. The dining facilities are well-organized, offering nutritious and hygienic meals with a variety of options to suit students' tastes. There are common rooms in the hostels equipped with televisions and indoor games like table tennis and carrom to facilitate recreation and relation. Additionally, sports facilities are available nearby, encouraging students to engage in physical activities. The hostels have a warden and supporting staff to address students' concerns and maintain discipline. Hostel feels are reasonable, making it a viable option for students from various backgrounds. However, some students suggest that improvements in Wi-Fi speed, food quality, and maintenance in hostels could further enhance the living experience. Overall, the hostel infrastructure at HIT provides a safe and comfortable environment for students, contributing positively to their academic journey and overall development.
Faculty: The faculty at Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) plays a crucial role in shaping the academic environment of the college. HIT has a diverse pool of faculty members, comprising both experienced professors and young, enthusiastic lecturers. The faculty members are highly qualified, with many holding postgraduate and doctoral degrees in their respective fields. They are dedicated to teaching and provide students with a solid understanding of core concepts, practical knowledge, and industry-relevant skills. The teaching approach varies among individual professors, with some focusing on traditional lecture-based methods while others incorporate project-based learning, group discussions, and hands-on activities. While many faculty members excel in delivering complex topics in a clear and engaging manner, there is occasional variability in teaching quality, especially for specific subjects. The student-teacher interaction is generally good, though some students feel that faculty members could be more approachable outside of class hours. In terms of research, HIT faculty members actively engage in research and development, contributing to various technical and engineering journals. Many professors also collaborate with industry experts, offering students the opportunity to work on real-world projects and research activities. This engagement benefits students who are interested in pursuing higher studies or research careers. The faculty members also play a pivotal role in guiding students during their internships, projects, and placements. They often ACT as mentors, providing valuable insights and support to students in their academic and professional growth. However, there is a scope for further improvement in terms of faculty-student interaction, timely feedback, and the incorporation of modern teaching tools and technologies. Enhancing faculty development programs could contribute to better teaching methodologies and overall academic performance.
Other: I like computer backgrounds. They should employ more skillful teachers to improve our course. Events and fests are the best.

Brutally Honest Review!
Placements: In my course, approximately 55% of students were placed in MNCs, and the total placement was 70 to 80%. Be assured to have 60% or above in 10 and 12 along with a maximum 2-year education gap. The highest 45 LPA off-campus Amazon only for girls. Next 15 LPA off-campus. On-campus maximum 9 Wiley Edge. The average is 3.5 LPA. The lowest 2.4 to 0. No core company for ECE. Even if a core company, most are local companies offering below-average packages. Mostly IT service-based MNCs recruit. Students have to arrange their internships if they can off-campus. Roles offered are fresher roles in IT service companies. 2023 was the last year when market conditions were good. 2024 saw a massive dip in placement, maybe 20% of the total batch, and with changing market dynamics, things can get worse for most engineering colleges. Core branches states are lower than my branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels free of cost. Classrooms are below average. Hostel rooms are below average. The library is good. 4 people stay in 1 room, very congested. The mess food is average, medical facilities are good, sports and game opportunities are there, a restaurant is there, and a gym is there. Seniors will rag juniors and damage junior's hostels and rooms. Damaged toilets take 1 week to repair. Common washrooms are there in most hostels.
Faculty: The curriculum is not up to the mark. Practical knowledge is below average. Some teachers were very helpful. Few are knowledgeable. Teachers have Ph.D. and Masters. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready, you have to work yourself. Semester exams are moderate, most students hate, and almost everyone passes. But most private engineering colleges have the same curriculum so can't help but criticize much.
Other: The college can focus on admitting quality students instead of direct admissions. The crowd is not that good from a career point of view. Students are unruly, ragging is still very much there. Physical and verbal ragging, especially for boys. Discipline should need to be improved. Good fests happen throughout the year, from a fun point of view, the crowd is good. Haldia is a remote location, 5 hrs journey to Kolkata. The campus is beautiful. Extracurricular activities are good. Haldia is peaceful. Good students will shine anywhere, the condition is, have good company and assess the people you'll spend your 4 years. A good college if you only need a degree and not much academic hassle. Good if you are preparing for competitive exams as you will get ample time.
