A chance to spend life independently and shape one's career and goals in an individualistic way.

Placements: We got the high placements at our batch as TCS was our recruiter and they took 508 out of 1000(approximately) students. The salary offered was a standard 3.33 LPA for B.Tech students. Our senior batch performed decently, but our junior batch achieved more. There were no stipends offered. Heritage provides the internships to a few interested students at the New Jersey University of Technology, where they can have their summer internship. In my stream, all my friend went there are currently pursui...

I am overall happy with my college life. The only tension is of attaining a very highly paid job

Placements: Mainly, the placements in Heritage Institute Of Technology is done through Tata consultancy services (TCS). Maximum students are placed in TCS with an average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum. Dream companies also come to our college which offer a package of 6.5-6 lakhs PA but very few students of only IT department and CSE department qualify for such jobs. Lowest salaries range from 2.8-3 lakhs. As far as placements for civil and mechanical is concerned very few companies come for such department...

Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata review

Placements: Most of us were placed in software companies. The percentage of placements in core companies were not satisfactory. Our senior batch too had the same consequences. The percentage in core was 20% and in software, it was 80%. The highest salary was to some CSE students was around 6 LPA and for the rest IT jobs, it was 3.36 LPA. The core jobs had salaries around 3 LPA. Companies which visited were TCS, BOC, Berger Paints, Oriental Nico, Godrej, etc. (I can say for my department only). Coming to int...

A good and decent college for engineering students.

Placements: The college has nice placements or at least that is what we've heard. TCS has been the mass recruiter since last 2-3 years, and also a few other companies too visit the campus for placements. For better jobs, one should not rely on the college only, and applying online may work too. More than 90 percent of the people who sit for the interviews get selected.

Review for Heritage Institution of Technology- Not good for all.

Placements: The college provides very good placements. Renowned companies visit the college every year. Almost all students get placed, except the lateral students. I have faced the troubles throughout my 3 years. The companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, cognizant visit the campus every year.

Reasonably good in terms of facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: They offer a job mainly in an IT company and the number of jobs in a core company is very less. In core companies, sales and service based job roles were offered. The highest package was 5 lakhs per annum and the lowest package was 3 lakhs per annum. Around 60 percent student were placed in my batch.

Really commendable infrastructure and a healthy place to develop one's personality.

Placements: Placements have always been pretty satisfactory at Heritage Institute of Technology. In our batch, over sixty percent students got placed from the college. The placement percentage has steadily risen over the next two years. However, the companies which visit for placements are predominantly IT companies. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, ITC Infotech are the regular recruiters of HITK.

The college is good under fee structure.

Placements: Hit Kolkata is a good college. When talking about the placements, we have to consider each branch of the college. For CSE and ECE departments the placements are awesome, but for mechanical its worst. The training and placement cell is never ready to talk to us on these topics.

Good infrastructure and wonderful college life.

Placements: The placement is very good. Many IT companies came for recruitment. Students got placed in India as well as in foreign countries. Everyone got placed except for a few students who chose to go for higher education. The highest salary offered in our batch was 5.5 lakhs p.a.

One of the best colleges in Kolkata.

Placements: In my batch, almost all eligible students were placed. The majority were placed in TCS or other service based companies. Many students from CSE department got job offers from good product companies or startups. Although they did this on their own merit and college had no role in their placement. The highest package was around 22 LPA. The lowest salary would be 2.8 LPA and the average would be around 3.3 LPA.

Good placement in 2015 and 2016. Good career opportunity but not so good teachers.

Placements: The batch of 2017 had 510 students placed in TCS in a single day (Highest salary: 6.8 LPA). More companies offered jobs to students after this. The batch of 2016 had 508 students placed in TCS in a single day (highest salary: 6.5 LPA). The placement is good and around 80-83% of the students are placed each year. Most students that grab placements are from the IT departments and the core departments do not have a good fortune here. Even if they get placed, they are undertaken by TCS. ...

Average faculty, weak curriculum, poor management but good learning environment and a nice library.

Placements: The placement percentage is good. Around 85-90% CSE students are placed. But the package is low, around 3.5 LPA. TCS mainly visits for campus drive. Some other companies are Infosys, Wipro Tech, Mahindra, etc. Some good companies such as SAP and Polaris also visit but they do not recruit many students.

Good college, worth taking admission in but not the best.

Placements: Placements are pretty cool. Out of the batch of 770 students, 610 got placed on the 1st day. All got placed in TCS, while the rest also got placed in Tech Mahindra, and Godrej Infrastructure. Some others too got placed in IT companies. The major problem is that most of the students get placement in IT companies, irrespective of their branch and stream. There is no other option.

Life at Heritage is awesome.

Placements: The placement of the current batch and the previous batch was good. Most of them were placed in TCS. The average salary offered by TCS was approx 3.3 lacs and the highest was 6 lacs. In 2017, total 510 students were placed in TCS and in 2016, the number was 508. Other companies also visited our college for placement. One of them was Godrej which offered 6 lacs to a student from civil engineering.

Dissatisfied due to management people.

Placements: The placement was good as we know. TCS came to every college almost and took students in bulk of about 600, so this type of thing happens here also. Many other companies like Godrej and some core companies come. Overall, placements are good and the package lies at 3.6 lacks per year.

One for the future, will surely bring better companies.

Placements: Placement statistics of Heritage have always been good with respect to the percentage of the batch getting placed. But what has always cast a shadow on the entire process has been the quality of the companies and the package being offered. Most students are directly or indirectly forced to sit in the 0th slot stage, which will invariably be taken by an IT company namely Tata Consultancy Services or Infosys or Wipro. Core companies do come for recruitment but they are few and far between.Moreover...

Absolutely unsatisfied with faculty's behaviour and teaching except a few. But placement is nice.

Placements: In regard to the campus placement, my college comes at the 3rd position after Jadavpur University and Shibpur Engineering College. Being a fully private college, above 95% campus placement took place. It's not only this year but back to back since 2014. The placement data has been around 95%. TCS is our mass recruiter which came in the first slot and took almost 90% of the total batch strength each year. TCS offers 3.4 lakh per annum for B.Tech and 3.6 for M.Tech students. Placements: The placements for our seniors were quite good. About 85% of the students were placed. The highest salary was offered by Polaris of 5 lac rupees pa and the lowest was 3 lac rupees by TCS. The companies that visited our college were TCS, Fusion Charts, Polaris, Capgemini , Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech and others.

One of the best private colleges.

Placements: Only one batch has passed out for the time being. Mostly IT companies like TCS are the major recruiters. No core companies visited this year. Mostly, 90% students are placed. The average salary is rupees 250000 per annum. It is expected that more core companies will visit in future. Major recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give 8. Except for a few things, it is the best.

Placements: The placements are pretty good for IT/CSE/Instrumental streams whereas for other core branches, you have to wait long enough to be placed. Around 80-85%placements occurred. The highest salary was around 12 lakhs and the lowest was 3.2 lakhs. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Indian navy, Aakash, Kriti technologies, Bosch, Godrej and Boyce have visited till now for the year 2017. IT engineer, Assistant Manager, Assistant Professor etc posts were offered. I have no idea about internships. ...
