Placements: Almost None. Extremely disappointing in terms of placements. 10 people placed out of 75 with 4 members in non-core companies or out of stream companies. Line, Voith and Star Cements took one each. Rest of the students including me were ignored for core placements. Companies that come to our college are mostly sales based rather than core technical based.
Placements: The placements are not very good on the campus. The placements could have been much better and secure. Afterall, it is about the future of the students and their families. Only a few got jobs in core sectors. The others had to work in whatever company they got to work for. If the institution can't provide jobs to students of their following departments, then it is not a good college in providing the placements. Most of the didn't even get jobs.
Placements: Story of placements is same as of other majority of private colleges. Getting a job from here isn't a problem at all. Job security is guaranteed as long as you're slightest of active and don't perform exceptionally bad; if you need is a Job in any MNC just after college. Talking of which WIPRO and TCS are major recruiters here (and everywhere). Due to which average package from our branch (ECE considered 2nd best in our college regarding placements) does't exceed 3.5 LPA. However few exceptions ...
Placements: If you are coming here with a hope of getting a job from college after completing degree from here, please don't come. I am a student here and I know the scenario well. They solely depend upon TCS for mass recruitment and don't care much about bringing other companies to college. The Training and Placements cell in the college is arrogant, unprofessional, unfriendly, non-cooperative and expect them to sit back and ruin the opportunities for you while you see students of other colleges are gettin...
Placements: Placements used to be good in the previous years, but mostly that was in IT companies. But since this year, with the change in recruitment policies of IT companies, campus recruitments have degraded severely. Core companies for branches like Chemical, Biotechnology, Mechanical are rarely found in campus recruitments and the ones which come for recruitment mostly offer posts in sales, business management etc.
Placements: Mostly, the students got placed in software companies ( mainly TCS ). Very few students got placed in the departmental companies. Overall, the placements are average. Four or five departmental companies came at that time, and they took very few students. Most of the students from our batch went for the software jobs.
Placements: The placements are good, but on paper only. For almost every batch, HIT has managed to hit a 100%, but that is majorly due to mass recruiters taking over 300 students a year. Once you get placed, you are not allowed to participate in the placement drive, to which people were stuck with a TCS job and weren't able to sit for interviews with companies more suited to their skill set. Engineers from all backgrounds were pushed into the IT field. The highest salary was around 8 LPA, with the lowest be...
Placements: The placement has been fine for last few years. TCS has been the major recruiter in the campus, but this time due to the fall in the IT sectors the recruitment has not been too appreciable for every department equally. The biotechnology department has faced a huge problem in placements. The process is still on, and I hope remains. Around 6 people have been selected are placed in TCS and others in the department which accounts for around 50 more students I still and placed in biotechnology depart...
Placements: If you are at HIT Kolkata, then the mass recruiter will be the TCS in case of the placements. Expect nothing more when it comes to on-campus placement, but if you are a hard worker, then you can have the choice of an off-campus placement. Also, the internships offered by the college are quite good. Lastly, you have to work hard.
Placements: The placements are very few. About 30% of the total students got placed. IT and CSE have about 50%. It is a reality, but you will hear 80%. The training and placement cell is not that active. The placement session is very late. The mass recruiter company is only the TCS. After that, core company takes very few students. The average package of this college is 3.3 lacs.
Placements: The placement scenario here in Heritage is just good. The companies like TCS and Wipro visit and offer a package of 3.75- 4.00 LPA. Some students managed to get 8.00 LPA. The off-campus highest package was 22.00 LPA. The companies like Tech. Mahindra, Godrej also visit the campus, and some core companies also visit the campus.
Placements: Here, the highest placement for computer science once was 16 lacs and for ECE it is 12 lacs. TCS is the main company that takes the maximum number of students with 3-4 lakhs. If you are in civil or mechanical, you are going to face a problem for a job. Computer science and ECE students will not face a problem for a job if they work hard.
Placements: I being a part of the first ever batch from the civil engineering department, naturally had a lot of expectations from the placement cell. But when placements started, we were offered two options, either IT jobs or wait uncertainly for a construction company to visit the campus. Now the thing is, after studying civil engineering for four years, why should I join the IT industry, rather I could have studied information technology or computer science engineering. Opting for a job in a construction...
Placements: In the current batch of 2017, placements were average. It began with the mass recruiter TCS on Day 1 taking the bulk of the candidates. It was followed by Tech Mahindra, that also took a few students. Then there were few decent companies like Polaris, FusionCharts, Subex, etc. that either took 2-3 candidates or none at all. The highest on-campus salary was 6.5 LPA which was bagged by 2 students. The 2nd highest salary, 6 LPA, was bagged by one student. Rest all fall in the bracket of 3-4 LPA. So...
If you are looking for good crowd and campus life, it is time for you to be in Kolkata. Placements are very poor and campus facilities are awesome. If running short of time or say, you can't afford to drop a year, one can definitely opt for this college as it is worth it.
Placements: Almost 90% students placed, but only few get dream offer. The lowest in teach branch is 3 LPA, and the highest is 10.50 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, IBM (ONLY GIRLS), ORACLE (10.50 LPA). Internship is rare; only few got for their skills. If you do, you do.
Placements: There is no good condition for civil engineers at this college. No placements in the respective company. Few civil engineering students get placed in IT companies with the lowest salary packages. Internships are not provided by the college for core branches.
Placements: In our course, around 80% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered maybe 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS and IBM. Top roles offered are very effective. Almost 90% of the students got an internship in companies like TCS, IBM and IEEE.
Placements: In our college, there are no placements for civil department because civil department related companies didn't visit here so that there is no hope for placements in our department. However, this year, our college faculty members companies will visit here and recruit civil engineers. In the previous year, some companies visited our college, but they strictly said that they wouldn't recruit civil and mechanical department students.
