Heritage institute of technology.

Placements: Placements are pretty good as compared to many private colleges in West Bengal. Surely out cannot be compared with the nits and iiits but still it is good. Mainly for CSE branch it is much better. If u want to take admission through WBJEE then this college is a good option for you.

Good ambience and infrastructure, the best college for cultural fest in Kolkata.

Placements: A good number of companies visit the college for placements. TCS is the biggest mass recruiter. Some core companies also visit our college at the end and hire only a few students. Around 80% of the students easily get placed. Other companies related to different fields like sales and marketing visit the college for placements and offer a salary package of around 8 LPA.

Really good infrastructure and facilities but placement policy is a little lack lustre.

Placements: I would not say that placements here are vey good but it is getting better every year. After becoming autonomous, the Institute has done good but average salary is still not so much at par. Maximum students are placed in mass recruitment but talented students go out of the crowd and are place in companies like Microsoft as well.

Placements: Overall placement is about 80%. And in my stream last year it was about 90% placement. They are mainly placed at TCS. And also some of them placed at ccd, Airtel etc. Giving a glance on salary that was avarage of 4 lacks per annum. And the highest was 8 lacks. Yes there is a placement cell. And it's very useful and active as far as I see.

Review of my college and my department.

Placements: Never seen the face of any good core companies. Some small companies did come but the package and the quality of the company they offered was not the one that a B.Tech Mechanical Engineer expects. The companies that come for campusing should be more of specific type and the number of good companies coming should increase.

The college has good teachers and great campus.

Placements: I got placed in Infosys and Wipro, which are slot 0 companies, and as per institute rules, we could not sit for further companies. Placements in our college were good for our department. Except for a few students, all got placed. The average salary package offered was about 3.5 LPA.

Quality of education, teachers, infrastructure are all good but you will not get good job opportunity

Placements: Placements are there but 95% of the companies are only IT related. I think placement is up to 80%. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Godrej and many IT based companies are the recruiter for this college. All the companies offer the average salary of 3,36,000 p. a.

Overall a great institute to balance your life with education and fun.

Placements: Very good placement in reputed companies. In 2015, TCS alone have employed 510 students from different courses and in 2016 508 students were employed by TCS and other companies like Tech Mahindra, Cognizant etc. Have been a regular employer. But still, average salary need to be improved.

Detailed analysis of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata

Placements: Only MNCs and if you are selected in one then you are not allowed to sit in other . After the round of MNC then we have some better paying company. This does not work well with the students who are placed in the MNC. Internship opportunities are compared to null.

Average college in Kolkata with enough Infrastructure.

Placements: Placement this year has already started and quite fair amount of offers have come to the seniors. The majority of offers have come from mass recruiters like TCS who gave away placements to average guys also having 7 pointers. Almost 40% of the batch was placed in either Cognizant or Wipro or TCS. Many startups and new IT firms also came for recruitment like OYO, FLIPKART etc. The companies offered training initially and then they would offer a job location which may or may not be inside the stat...

Heritage Institute of technology - A heritage in making.

Placements: Placement in IT companies is very easy as mass recruitment occurs via TCS, Wipro and Infosys. Apart from that core companies do come like Godrej, Star cement and Sarachi and one can expect an average package of 4LPA which is quite better than most Engineering colleges in Kolkata.

Good infrastructure but placement is low for core department.

Placements: Most of the students are placed in IT company, among rest few are placed in a core company like Godrej, Tega, Norton, Star cement, Plastic Abhiyanta, Waker, and few are placed in sales sector like Extramark. Placement has improved for mechanical as compared to last year, In 2015 batch around 90% eligible students were placed, this year it may be around 80%.

Overall, it is an average college, but placement it is the worst.

Placements: There is a very poor placement record for civil engineering branch. The companies which come for recruitment are either IT companies or sales and marketing. There are lots of students in civil engineering, but not even 10% of the total students get placed this year. I didn't understand why they give admissions if they can't give jobs.

Heritage is the best private college in West Bengal.

Placements: The placements on the campus are decent. TCS is the mass recruiter of our college. About, 60% of the students got placed in the slot 0 itself. However, it is difficult to get a job if you fail TCS. Also, the placement isn't 100%, and it is around 80-85%. The companies that come for the recruitment are 95%, which are IT companies.

Some faculty members are good but 40% faculty are not able to teach.

Placements: As far as the placements are concerned, an average student can easily get the placements. There are very few placements in the core branches, and it is a problem of every college. If you are a serious student, you may also get a core placement. In any college, about 20% top students in the core stream can easily get the placement.

The best private college in West Bengal with good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are provided basically in IT sectors only. If you have taken any of CSE, IT or ECE here, and you do your engineering sincerely, it is assured that you will get the job in IT sectors. Apart from the IT sectors, for the core departments like civil, electrical and mechanical, you need to accept the fact from the very beginning that either you're going to be a software guy, or better you start preparing for GATE and other competitive exams. The average salary offered is 3lac per annum...

Life of a student with full of fun a lot of things to learn.

Placements: The placements are not too good. It is not more than 65%. The major recruiter is TCS company, but the salary structure is below 3.45 Lacs per annum. The core companies do not come, so it is a big problem for mechanical, electrical and civil students. Very few other companies come, but they recruit 3 or 4 persons and give the salary less than 4 Lacs.

Heritage is an autonomous college in Bengal.

Placements: The placement in my college is well enough. The best way to get placed in Heritage is to maintain GPA above 7.0, it is the minimum aggregate required to sit in the placements. If you have more than 7.0 GPA, then most of the companies will probably allow you to sit. Several companies visited Heritage in the previous year, i.e., 2017. Companies like Godrej took three students, alike mass recruiter TCS took more than 500 students. The college will not allow sitting in another company"s interviews o...

A review on Heritage Institute of Technology.

Placements: In this department, you can get about 80-90% placement, and the majority of these are software-based companies, generally, TCS. Some of the students qualify GATE or CAT only because of their hard work, but the college wants to highlight that we have produced this number of students in this competitive exam, and that is heartbreaking for students.
