Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BE/BTech courses at HCET:

* Placement Drive: While some students reported that the placement cell was "quite good" and helped with preparing students for placements, others felt that it wasn't very effective. One reviewer mentioned that only TCS visited the campus for placements, and it recruited only 40 out of 400 students.

Review of Hitkarini College of Engineering and Technology (HCET).
Placements: In our college, almost 60% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 9.6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA and the average salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Cognizant visited our campus. Almost 80% of students got internships. Top roles offered were assistant project executive, team leader, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was classy. The library was full of technical books. Wi-Fi was a little slow at that time. Classrooms were well-ventilated and open while every major subject had a dedicated lab of itself. The hostel had good infrastructure, spacious rooms, and proper security. The mess owner was student-friendly, and the food served was hygienic. Medical facilities were not available. There was a basketball ground and there was also an amphitheater.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful and had technical acumen, but a lack of faculty members for all subjects put an undue burden on them. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was up-to-date. Students with proper self-study and little exposure become industry-ready. Semester examinations were of a moderate level. The pass percentage was around 75%.
Other: Mechanical engineering was fun to study. I think more industry exposure should be given and extracurricular activities should be added to the college routine.

Our college has a good infrastructure.
Placements: About 10 students were placed out of 54. The lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA, while the highest was 9 LPA. The top recruiting company was Tech Mahindra. Around 60% of students got internships. The best role offered was project assistant at Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: There were well-ventilated and comfortable classrooms. There was a canteen, a small basketball court, and a garden. There were dedicated labs for major subjects, and the library had a huge collection of books. The hostel was quite good according to the fee. There were no medical facilities except first aid.
Faculty: Faculty members were knowledgeable and helpful, but the student-to-faculty ratio was very low. The course curriculum was up to the mark and good to make us industry-ready. As it is affiliated with RGPV Bhopal, semester exams were moderate but the passing percentage was high.

The college needs to be improved.
Placements: Placements in our college are not satisfactory at all. None of the students of our batch got placed. Small unknown companies visited the campus, and we were offered roles of heavy-duty truck drivers in some instances. Students got internships on their own. No placement cell is available here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is top-class. There isn't a college in Jabalpur which is as smartly built like ours. Labs are not much used here, but the equipment available there is quite old. Even the food served is good. The only issue with the infrastructure is the campus houses College of Architecture and Dental hospital too. Otherwise, the campus would be scenic.
Faculty: Faculty members of the mechanical department are great. The best professors taught us various subjects. Guest faculty members available here were not that good. The student to faculty ratio is 45:1. Industry exposure is seldom offered. The course curriculum was run and governed by Madhya Pradesh Technical University.

Faculty members are not good, and placements are poor.
Placements: We cannot expect much placements from the college. Only marketing companies visit the campus for placements of the mechanical stream. Almost 60% of the students are selected. All the students do not opt for the job. According to our seniors, the average salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. Classrooms are not that good, but okay. There is no medical facility. However, there is a dental college besides the college to provide medical facilities. Sports activities conducted in the college are good. Sports like badminton, cricket, and table tennis are available. Quality of food served is okay. Hostels are excellent.
Faculty: Some of the teachers in our college are very good and support the students. They are well-qualified and have a lot of knowledge. Only 10-20% of the faculty members are good, and the rest of the faculty members are not that good. The student to faculty ratio is not perfect. However, teachers are helpful for the students in getting placed.
Other: Events and techfest are conducted in the college, and it depends on the activity of students. Campus crowd is not that high. Scholarships are provided by Hitkarini Sabha.

There are good facilities in our college, but due to bad management, I am dissatisfied.
Placements: The placement of my batch will start this semester, and the placement of my seniors was average. I think, approximately, 30-40% of the students got placed on the campus placements. The highest salary package was around 4 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Mostly TCS company visited the campus for placements, and technical and software work is provided to placed students. The students have to do an internship on their own, but from this semester, the college helps the students to find one company to get an internship because this is a tough time, so it is difficult to find an internship for students.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus for students. The library and labs are good, all machines and instruments are available in labs. In sports and games, badminton court is good at our college. Medical facilities are also available in our college as dental college is near to our college. The quality of classrooms is average. The canteen is superb, and the quality of food in it is good. The hostel rooms are very good. I can say that this is the best hostel in Jabalpur at a very effective fee.
Faculty: In the mechanical and civil department, the teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. They mostly relate the things to practical examples for better understanding. But the major problem is the attendance of students, so the student to faculty ratio is low. We get an industrial exposure.
Other: NCC is available for girls in the college. Many extra activities like techfest, etc., are organised on the campus by students.
