IIIT Kottayam BTech Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Selection Process, Placement, How to Apply

Starting the JEE Main preparation from class 11 or 12 is the best time. As JEE Main syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12, students can easily cover all the topics along with school. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and JEE Main and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack JEE Main along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for JEE beside class 12 studies. Regularly solve JEE Main mock test and solve previous year question papers to evaluate the performance.

Check which topics are asked in the exam and what are the types of questions. Identify the JEE Main topics that are similar to class 11 and 12 and start studying them along with the school classes. The second advice is to make a time table for your study. Ideally, 6-8 hours of study is sufficient for JEE Main. Students should choose a time which suits them best. They can study in night or morning or both. It is important that they give at least 3 hours daily specifically for JEE Main preparation. Selecting the right study materials/books is also very important for JEE Main preparation. It is advised that students begin their preparation by studying the NCERT books thoroughly and then advance to additional books. The most important advice in clearing the JEE Main. Is not to over-burden yourself with the preparation. Study regularly but also spare some time for your hobbies.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Also, the candidate should have a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Kottayam for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

NTA will start JEE Mains 2025 session 2 registration on  January 31, 2025. JEE Main application form 2025 session 2 will be available online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA released the JEE Main application form 2025 session 1 on October 28, 2024. The JEE Main 2025 registration date session 1 was October 28 to November 22, 2024.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with a minimum of 75% aggregate.
• Also, candidates must have a valid rank in the JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA.
• Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell for document verification and fee payment.

As per the cutoff list released by IIIT Kottayam for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing ranks for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for the year 2020, 2021 & 2022 were 605, 579 & 902, respectively. This clearly shows that the closing rank for the CSE branch at IIIT Kottayam has recorded a significant decline. Also, the closing rank for BTech in Electronics & Commmunication Engineering (ECE) recorded an excessive decrease. In addition to this, the closing rank for Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) branch with a slight decrease have been in the same slab.

NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. For session 2, NTA released application form on February 2.

Yes, the candidate who secures 97% in Class 12 final examination is eligible for BTech at IIIT Kottayam. Candidates having their JEE-Main rank above the closing rank specified in the merit list released by the IIIT Kottayam can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA.
