Satisfied with the infrastructure, sports facilities, and placements of 2023.
Placements: The overall placement of the year 2024 was 63.6%, which is not official and of 2023 it was around 87%. The amount for the highest package was 46.5 lacs per annum and the average package stood around 15 lacs per annum. The lowest was around 5 LPA. Top recruiters were Amazon, Flipkart, Google, TCS and all other FAANG companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of IIIT UNA is very good as compared to other IIITs established in the same years. It has its permanent campus, 4 hostels for all years, academic block, admin block, gym, music room, football ground, 2 basketball courts, 2 basketball courts, tennis court, and around 9 badminton courts, 2 in each hostel. All the hostels are well-equipped with Wi-Fi and speed is good; washing facilities are provided in the hostels, which charges no extra cost; a common room is also there for table tennis. The mess food of our hostel is good as compared to other colleges; it has a decent menu and has a mess committed for any concern. Academic block has a library, classes, and labs; all are well-equipped and up-to-date. All facilities are well qualified and are Ph.D. holders, and the foreign return curriculum you can know by visiting our college website.
Faculty: Our college follows a strict curriculum and a strict 75% attendance policy. All the faculty members are well qualified and are Ph.D. holders. Many are foreigners, but they will not give you as much importance as any other college. But staff and lab assistants are quite helpful and help us to demonstrate and perform experiments properly. Semester exams had a relatively simple marking scheme and are quite easy and mostly questions come from the PPT provided by the teachers.
Other: The main reason I choose IT over CSE is the comparatively easier curriculum than CSE; IT doesn't have hardware parts. The first year is comprised of Physics and Chemistry like in classes 11 and 12 and core subjects are not taught in 1st year; these subjects are boring and less fascinating. The coding culture of our college is not good. Before joining this college, I heard many positive reviews about the coding culture at IIIT Una, but ground reality was different. No hackathons are conducted, and everyone is interested in sports only. Our events comprise MRIDAND a cultural fest, YALGAR a sports fest, MERAKI, ROBO DRIVE, PROG-O-THON, etc.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027
Offered by IIIT Una - Indian Institute of Information Technology

A rapidly advancing IIIT and Institute of National Importance. A must-join.
Placements: Referring to the data from the 2022–23 batch, the IT branch boasts a 90% placement rate, with an impressive average placement of 16.57 LPA. Notably, the highest package offered is 45 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Key recruiters include Amazon, Jio, and Infosys, with a significant portion of placements occurring off-campus.
Infrastructure: The college, established in 2022, has commendable infrastructure and facilities. While classrooms are relatively smaller, well-equipped labs with Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi-enabled hostels, canteens, medical facilities, and a sports ground contribute to the overall positive environment. The non-vegetarian mess stands out for its better quality of food compared to the vegetarian mess.
Faculty: The student-to-teacher ratio stands at approximately 15:1, with a majority of teachers holding Ph.D. degrees. The faculty is supportive and proficient. However, some aspects, like lengthy practicum sessions up to the 4th semester, might be perceived as irrelevant. College exams include CT1, CT2 (cycle tests of 20 marks each), and end semesters of 100 marks.
Other: Choosing the course based on interest in CS-related fields, the college hosts festivals such as Yalgaar (sports), Mridang (cultural), and Meraki (teaching) in September. Connectivity might be considered an issue, and direct college scholarships are unavailable; students need to apply for government scholarships at the state or central level.

Not a value-for-money case, it feels.
Placements: Last year, 85% of students were placed. This year, placements are ongoing. Jio hired 7-8 people, and some other companies have also come. The average CTC last year for the IT branch was 16 LPA, with the maximum package of 46.50 LPA offered by Amazon. Amazon was the top recruiting company last time. Some other companies included Apache, BharatPe, Jio, and LinkedIn.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided by the college are better compared to many NITs and IIITs. It has its own campus built on 80 acres. Hostels and classrooms are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is provided, but it is slow in hostels, especially on Sundays. The library is too small. The food is decent, sometimes good depending on the mood of the workers. Recently, a canteen was opened with some good options available.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly young and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is below average. The course contains Biotech, which is irrelevant to the IT branch, but in the second year, many good courses are available that are relevant. Semester exams are not that difficult to pass; just make sure you have 75% attendance.
Other: The campus is built away from the main city Una, but bus service is available, so you can access it.

Overall, the College is good and I think you should at least visit the campus.
Placements: The maximum salary package available is 60 LPA, while the average package stands at 15 LPA. Internships offer a maximum of 70,000 per month. Around 93% of students secure on-campus placements. Notable recruiting companies include Amazon, Bharatpay, LinkedIn, Expedia, and Microsoft.
Infrastructure: Our campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities that are available throughout the entire campus. Additionally, the connection is reliable and stable. We offer three hostels with separate mess facilities, providing decent and healthy food options. We prioritize proper sanitation practices. Study rooms are accessible to students, allowing for a conducive learning environment. While medical facilities are not available on campus, we do have a first-aid kit and an ambulance for emergency situations. Our sports and games facilities are exceptional, with great teams and immense potential. Each game has its own dedicated playground. In terms of sports, our institution surpasses other IIITs in terms of quality and opportunities.
Faculty: The majority of teachers are young and enthusiastic, always ready to assist their students whenever needed. Many of them hold Ph.D. degrees. The curriculum is well-designed, although the absence of BioTechnology in the first semester may raise questions. Throughout the semester, students are assigned numerous tasks and assignments. The grading system is relatively fair.
Other: The average package is expected to soar in the coming years. The location is quite impressive. The festivals may not be outstanding, but they are acceptable. Numerous scholarships are offered by both the state and the central government. The campus crowd is relatively small due to the limited number of branches, but this is likely to change in the future.

Satisfied with the college infrastructure and facilities provided.
Placements: More than 80% of the students are placed annually from our college, with the highest package being 60L and the average being 14L. The top recruiting companies include Amazon, American Express, TCS, PW, Grow, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc. We are given one full semester of 6 months to do an internship so that we can gain industry experience.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very nice. All the buildings are well-maintained. The academic block has centralized AC, a well-equipped library for studying, and free high-speed Wi-Fi is provided on campus. Each hostel has 2 badminton courts and one indoor stadium where we can play chess, carrom, and table tennis. The mess food is okay. Each hostel has a medical kit.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful and highly qualified. More than 60% of the faculty are Ph.D. holders, and all are very knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant to the courses and makes us industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit difficult, and most of the students pass them easily with good grades.
Other: There are many fests conducted in our college like Yalgaar - the sports fest, Meraki - the technical fest, and Mridang - the cultural fest. We see beautiful sunsets every day, especially around September.
