The foundation stone for the permanent IIT Ropar permanent campus was laid in 2009, but it was in June 2019, that IIT Ropar completely shifted to its permanent campus located in Rupnagar, Punjab. IIT Ropar offers admission to its four-year BTech course through a valid score in JEE followed by JoSAA counseling.
