IIT Gandhinagar was established in 2008 and is ranked 18th by NIRF 2023 for Engineering. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 1534 and closing rank was 1555. Cut offs are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 650 and 2465. To get a call from IIT Gandhinagar, for MSc admission, candidates must have secured a minimum rank of 413, the toughest course being MSc in Chemistry. The closing rank for different MSc courses ranged between 413 and 438. During 2023, the cutoff rank for MSc in Chemistry was 446 and in 2022, it stood at 352. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1366. In 2023, it increased to 1555. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed for diffecrent categories as mentioned below

• 623 to 571 for OBC
• 332 to 412 for SC
• 127 to 219 for ST
• 225 to 226 for EWS

This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Gandhinagar cutoffs have been released upto 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis, and the seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:

The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course
