Good campus infrastructure and amenities along with academics, staff and very good faculty.

Placements: Around 80–85% of students get placed during the placement season. The highest package offered is 72 lacs per annum, with the average package being 27–30 lacs per annum. The lowest package varies each time from 9–10 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Google, DE Shaw, Barclays and other government-sector companies. Internships are offered mainly in the 3rd year of B.Tech. In my course, the main scope is a research area pursuing a Ph.D. in a particular field.

Infrastructure: IIT Gandhinagar has one of the best infrastructure in India, having separate academic building which includes library, separate hostel area with many outlets of daily routine, two messes (5-star rating by Fssai) and sports area which includes a magnificent sports complex with an Olympic-size swimming pool, badminton courts, indoor basketball court, etc. And two cricket and football grounds.

Faculty: All the faculty members on campus hold Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields, which means they are highly qualified to seek help. The course curriculum is designed with a student mindset in mind, and recently it has been reframed with an industrial and academic aspect. There are two exams in each semester: midsems and endsems, which are quite difficult, according to many students.

Other: Apart from academics, there are two big college fests: Amalthea (the teaching fest) and Blithchron (the cultural fest), which happen in November and March, respectively. Also, there is a sports fest open to the entire college community named Hallabol. If we talk about the location of the campus, that is somewhat of an issue because it is located outside the city, and the only way to connect is by Uber, Ola or bus service from the college. The campus is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River and has a very beautiful scenic view in the evening and early morning. There are many cultural clubs, like Stepup (a dance club), Sargam (a music club) and many more. There is a very unique feature of hostels: they are co-ed, which means inter-hotel movements are allowed at night as well.

Really good infrastructure and campus life, along with academics and placements.

Placements: Around 95% of registered students get placed in my course. The average package is 14 LPA for MSE students. Most of the students go for higher education in this branch. Some of the institutions where the students of my branch are selected for higher studies are CALTECH, Clemson University, Illinois University, Colorado State University, etc.

Infrastructure: Each and every class and lab is equipped with a Wi-Fi router. Every department has its own building where all the labs and offices of professors of that course are present. There is a separate building for the library, which will be open until 2 a.m. There is also a mini-library in the hostel area, which will be open 24/7. Each and every room in the hostel is equipped with a Wi-Fi router and an air conditioner. The hostels and mess are of top quality. We also have a separate region dedicated to sports. We have an Olympic-size swimming pool, indoor courts made of synthetic material for all sports, and also an athletic track, football field, and cricket field. The sports facilities are also top-notch.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They will always be there for the students to solve doubts and help them regarding their careers. The course curriculum is relevant and also has many lab components, which make the students industry-ready. The difficulty of semester exams differs from professor to professor, but they will mostly be easy. And almost all the students pass. A very small percentage of students fail, and that too in at most 1 or 2 courses.

Other: We have an annual tech festival named Amalthea and an annual cultural festival named BLITHCHRON. We also have summer and winter vacations, which are held at the start of summer and winter.

About IIT Gandhinagar By IIT Students.

Placements: Top Recruiting companies like Amazon, Adobe, Adani, Google, Infosys, Jio, Paytm, Nike, TCS, Zomato, Oracle etc., visit our visit for placements. The college is new so there are fewer students but the statics of placements are enough. According to the 2023 the average salary is, Chemical: 15.11 Mechanical: 14.49 CS: 29.29 Electrical: 17.88 Materials: 13.41 Civil: 16.65 .

Infrastructure: The campus beauty is so good, the infrastructure of our hostels is well maintained. The facilities are superb one microwave in the pantry or Wi-Fi facility is good About the sports facilities, the sports complex of our college is huge, almost all the equipment is available there, one running track, cricket ground, and basketball courts. But the fest in our college is not yet good as compared to top IITs.

Faculty: The faculty members of our college are so talented; all are Ph.D. holders. Friendly and helping in our research or any projects Course is so flexible on our campus, we can choose any course we want. Some of the courses of HSS are very important for our higher studies.

Best campus life you will ever experience, absolutely no restrictions inside hostels.

Placements: 75% of students who registered for placements got placed. The highest package offered was 20.02L, the lowest was 8L and average package was 13L. Students got internships in Caltech, University of Washington and other top colleges in USA. Students also got internships in Companies like Matter Motor Works, Nivea, Talentserve, Adani Group .

Infrastructure: All classrooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. The library, too is air-conditioned and is the go-to place to prepare for your exams or have a casual read. Hostels too are Air-conditioned and have television services, a table tennis room, medical facilities etc. Rooms are very spacious and are cleaned once a week by the maintain staff. The sports facilities are one of the best across all IITs. We have an Olympic size Swimming pool, a cricket ground with floodlights, a football ground, an athletic track, indoor and outdoor basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, squash courts, tennis courts table tennis courts, gymnasiums, a yoga room etc.

Faculty: The professors here are highly qualified. Almost everyone has done their Ph.D. in a foreign university and have tons of experience in their respective fields. The course curriculum has been recently updated to make it more relevant, First year undergraduate students have been inteoduced to Data Science. Also students have the opportunity to choose which courses they want to do from a list of Science courses. We have three exams per semester which aids in continuous learning experience and also have frequent quizzes and project works so that learning never becomes boring, rather interactive and easy to go.

All in all good in terms of infrastructure but in terms of placements it still is far away.

Placements: In terms of placements, not very impressive but the research enthusiasm and implementation are just top-notch. Companies like JSW, L&T, Infosys, Nutanix do come but the big giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and others don't come over. The director is into relation buildup and it is hoped it might do well in the future.

Infrastructure: Awesome. The buildings are equipped with the latest technologies and every classroom is air-conditioned. Due to lack of space, it just covers 400 acres but all in all the facilities are good. The hostels are pretty safe in terms of fire breakouts as the practice drills are often carried out.

Faculty: The Associate professors cannot instill zeal and enthusiasm regards subjects. They focus on the traditional method of delivering lectures, unlike the practical based teaching method. Teachers like Walter Lewin don't exist in Indian Institute of Technology.

The answer is both yes and no. Candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Gandhinagar are expected to qualify both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counselling to secure admission. However, getting final admission only on the basis of JEE Main score, is not possible. Additionally, to be eligible for the BTech programme, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate.
