IIT Guwahati offers three specialisations under the two-year MSc programme with a seat intake of 180. As per official information, the eligibility criteria for BDes at IIT Guwahati course admission 2024 is through UCEED exam conducted by IIT Bombay. A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. However, the candidate should have passed in all subjects in Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2023, or the candidate should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2024. A total of 205 B. Des seats are offered by the five UCEED 2024 participating institutes. IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Admission Process for filling these seats. The allotment of seats will be based on UCEED 2024 merit rank and campus selected at the time of UCEED 2024 counseling registration. The online registration for UCEED 2024 counseling will be held from March 14 to 31, 2024. 

Note that in addition to UCEED 2024 participating institutes, result-sharing institutes will also allocate some seats on the basis of UCEED scores. However, the result-sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Admission process conducted by IIT Bombay.

IIT Guwahati has a seat intake of 33 for a full-time Master of Design (MDes) programme of two-year duration. The institute offers 13 seats for the General category. To qualify for IIT Guwahati MBA programme CAT is mandatory. Without a valid CAT score interested students cannot apply for MBA at IIT Guwahati. The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering is 5959 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this.
