Everything about IITH - only facts.
Placements: Almost 70% were placed this year. The highest package was 1.3 Cr, the lowest was 10 LPA, and the average was somewhere around 15 LPA. Some of the top companies were Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Google, Flipkart, and Qualcomm. 80% got internships this year at companies like KLA, Philips and Thomson. The top roles were ML intern and data analyst.
Infrastructure: It is very good, almost the construction of all the buildings is getting finished soon. We have a library, research centres and a cafeteria. The food is also good in the mess and canteen; there is a hospital; and there are also grounds and a gym available for everyone to use.
Faculty: Yes, the professors are very highly qualified and teach somewhat nicely. The course curriculum is very flexible, which makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but the pass percentage is decent. The professors give us frequent assignments and quizzes to test our knowledge, which is very frustrating.
