Placements: Placement cells are quite active in the institute but PhD students don't enrol in placement as they are more interested in academics, so they try for Postdoc fellowship, from some better institute. Placements are not so active for PhD candidates but still we receive mails in the case of a vacancy in some industry or institute

Placements: In 2016, around 300 companies came for placements. Among them, around 50 % were for software development. Core companies for the civil department were around 5 or 6 only, that came after 3 days of placements. Few of them are L&T , Sarpoonji Paloonji, and a few others. For the internship, only 1 or 2 companies came. Mostly, students apply outside India or try through the offline campus. Placements: There are no eyebrows raised if you aspire to get placed from an institute of this stature. All those willing to get placed are placed from my and my senior's batch. Placements: The procedure for placement is pretty simple. The placement team is usually very cooperative to help you get into the company that you need. For my batch which sat for placements in December 2015, there was around 77% placement in the first phase (one month in December).
