Review of IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Amazing placements are here. It's the best college for mechanical engineering students all over India. The average package is around 24 lacs, while the highest is always above one crore. Also, most of the students get internships in their third year, which leads to PPO.

Absolutely satisfied with the college and its academics.

Placements: Around 70-80 percent of students get placed. Core sector companies do come, but the salary offered ranges around 8-12 LPA. There are plenty of opportunities in non-core sectors, and you can get into various non-core roles in analytics, IT, and consulting. If you are not too poor, then you can easily get placed.

Our college infrastructure and faculties are excellent. Placements are overall very good.

Placements: Overall placement in our branch are less because very few companies comes for our branch students that's why. Students go to research line and most students go to technical job by learning coding because some students don't want to research or may be some financial problem.

The reality of IIT Kanpur.

Placements: In my department, approximately 90% of placements occur on campus. The highest package this time offered was 85 LPA, the lowest was 10 LPA, and the average was 19 LPA. Dr. Reddy and Axxella are the main recruiters during the placements in our course. The internship number is not so good but around 50% of students get the internship. I have no idea about the role but it depends on which area students want to go to.

Placements: More than 60 percent of students in my course are placed. The highest package is around 40 Lacs, the lowest package is around 0 to 5 Lacs, and the average package is around 15 Lacs. There aren't many core companies that come for placements at IIT Kanpur, so students often take internships with non-core companies like software, data, and consulting. Few roles are offered in core fields.

Placements: The placement record of IIT Kanpur is great; in the recession, almost all UG students were placed. Companies like Google, Amazon and startups come for placements. In my department, students go into SDE, consultancy, and product management profiles; very few opt for the core profile. Core companies like Dr. Reddy's Lab and Vedanta also come.
