Absolutely dissatisfied. Here is also rat race, nothing new.

Placements: According to official Placement and Internship cell APP, last year means our +1 batch, 83 got on-campus placements out of near 120 students. As for the internships for our batch, only 46 got on-campus internship out of near 120 students. It includes companies like BIS and Future First which give stipend of 20-25k. As for this season, Placements are going on, but only 20-30% companies are opening for Chemical branch. Most companies have the branch criteria of circuital branches only. If we talk ...

IIT ROORKEE - A rat race and sheep walk after all.

Placements: Around 80 percent of the students were placed. The highest package CTC was about 35 Lacs per annum and average was 13 Lacs per annum. Most of the company offered the roles for software developer, data Science, data analyst and graphic designer roles.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Placements: The placements in my course (ECE) are very good. Of all the companies that visit for placements, 60% of them provide opportunities for ECE students. But most of the jobs are offered to CS and IT students. Hardware companies are very few, and so, the opportunities for core students are very few.

Not as expected from IIT but still far much better than any engineering college

Placements: The placement for our branch is quite expected. Everyone from our senior batch got placed. The percentage is 85% as some of them don't sit for placement as they get called for higher education at good universities. As the matter of the average package, it is around 24.6 lacs and the highest is around 46 lacs.

Go for it if you want a good life with an excellent career.

Placements: As it is IIT, placement percentage is very good. In 2016 batch, almost 70% of the students were placed and the rest also got jobs thorough off campus. Both core and non-core companies visit here to recruit students of chemical engineering. Last time Shell, ITC, RB, Schlumberger, SRF, Reliance, etc. were major core recruiters. In none core companies Amazon, ZS associate, HSBC, Snap deal, Google, Samsung, etc. came to recruit. Overall, the placement is very good here. One can find a balanced life...

Campus life was awesome. All the facilities that a student would want during his educational life were available. There is a gym, Nescafe and others facilities. Annual technical event Cognizance provides much of opportunities to explore yourself. The hostel was awesome. We had a swimming pool and other sports centre. The faculty members were nice. They were dedicated towards their work.
