Best college for a B.Sc. in biochem and biotech, considering the fee and placement opportunities.
Placements: 20 percent of students were placed from our course, and that too in non-core jobs. The highest package offered was about 6 lakh per annum, and the lowest was 1.5 lakh per annum. The average package offered was around 3 to 4 lakh per annum. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Molecular Connections, Deloitte, PWC, Anthem Biosciences, and many more. None of the students got internships as it was not mandatory for B.Sc. students.
Infrastructure: The B.Sc. life science department has well-maintained laboratories and all instruments needed for experiments. Wifi can be used only for studies, that too from libraries and computer labs. The hostel has clean rooms, with the best food items being provided for students. It has a first aid facility and 24-hour security for students safety. Sports facilities are limited with no proper time to play due to more study hours.
Faculty: Teachers help students by providing notes and other study materials for the purpose of the exam. The course curriculum is relevant and focuses on making students industry-ready by improving their practical knowledge and skills through regular workshops. Semester exams can be passed easily, but the evaluation is too strict considering the question papers being easy.

Best college for biotechnology in both B.Sc. and M.Sc.
Placements: 2 out of 30 students from B.Sc. biotechnology were placed from campus interview in companies like TCS, PWC, Anthem Biosciences, Decathlon, Paytm, etc. The average package is about 3 to 4 Lacs per year for freshmen. None of students get internships as it is not mandatory and college doesn't provide leaves for students attending internships.
Infrastructure: The biotechnology and biochemistry departments both have large labs with the best equipment needed. Wi-Fi is provided but only in the library. The classrooms are clean and have either an ICTS or a smart board. The hostel is good and has the best rooms and lounge area. The food quality and range of items provided are the best for the price paid. It does have first-aid facilities and 24-hour security for the safety of students.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, knowledgeable and qualified to teach their respective subjects in their field of study. The course curriculum includes theory, practicals, seminars, industrial visits and workshops for the development of students. The difficulty of semester exams depends on the subject that is being studied. The pass percentage is about 90.

This is the review of the college solely based on my experience.
Placements: About 80-90 percent of students get placed in my course. The average package is around 15 - 20K. Most students go for internships from our course, but the initiative should be taken from the students' side to approach the faculty members or to directly approach the company.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure. They provide student Wi-Fi, which is available only after noon. The college has good lab facilities and classrooms. The library is one of the best amenities available in college. The hostel is near and clean and provides food of decent quality. The food at the mess/canteen is not that great, though. For medical facilities, there are not separate departments or anything; maybe they just provide you with first aid. For sports and games, when I was studying there, they didn't give much importance to it. But now I think they are improving.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful and supportive; they are qualified and knowledgeable. They are very friendly and approachable, so if you need to ask for any help, they will be happy to help. The curriculum provides you with the basics of biotechnology, but I don't think it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are of manageable difficulty.
Other: I have been told that this course has a lot of scope, and that is why I chose this course. Biotechnology is a vast area of study; it branches into a lot of subdivisions and holds its diversity. In college, I wanted more hands-on training in the lab, combining theory with practical. There are some cultural events like SPECTRUM and ethnic day; campus crowd is not that great; you are not even allowed to socialize on campus; you should either be in class or in the library; those are the college rules.

Best college because of good facilities and teaching.
Placements: 3 out of 44 students were placed from campus selection in non-core jobs. All students can attend campus interviews, but getting placed in core jobs for life science students after B.Sc. is difficult. The lowest package offered is 1.8 LPA, and the highest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ACCENTURE, CIPLA, ANTHEM BIOSCIENCES, FIDELITY, etc.
Infrastructure: The college does have all basic facilities such as a library, canteen, good labs, infrastructure and facilities, an indoor games room, and Wi-Fi. Food in the canteen is a bit pricey compared to outside and the taste is also not that great. The hostel has the best rooms with Wi-Fi, lounges, and well-furnished rooms. Hostel mess food is way better when compared with the college canteen.
Faculty: Many students select this college only because it has the best teachers with good teaching facilities. Teachers have good experience in their field and help us when needed. The college does conduct regular industrial visits, seminars, and workshops related to subjects. Semester exams are easy and 40 out of 44 students pass easily by scoring above 60 percent of marks.

Good college, satisfied with crowd and teaching faculty.
Placements: 50 percent students got placed from this course. The highest package offered is 3 Lacs per annum and the lowest package offered is 1.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are medlife, apollo, etc. 20 to 30 percent of students go for internship from the college to companies which are well known.
Infrastructure: College is small, has one basketball court. All the programs happen in the same place. Wi-Fi is available only in library and computer lab. Labs are equipped with all the required instruments practical. Library has both online and offline books. Hostel facilities are good and food is healthy and hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well knowledgeable and qualified to teach their topics. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for industry ready by teaching the basic practical test. The exams can be passed easily by studying a day before and one need to study entire week to score out of out.
