Overall best College for Integrated M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Physical Science Course.

Placements: About 50-65% of students at IISER, Mohali, are placed in our course. The average offer in our poll fell between 10 and 27 LPA. Many R&D companies seek our college to place students. Goldman Sachs, IOCL, Asian Paints, and others are top recruiters. Higher-level positions such as theoretical physicist and research scientist were available. This college also offers internships to students.

A very good institute and good infrastructure but very bad placements.

Placements: About only 10 students got placed because it is a research institute, but students went abroad for higher studies like Ph.D. in well-known universities across the world. The average package of placed students is about 8 LPA, so if you are looking for placements, this institute is not for you.

College is your type if you are an aspiring scientist.

Placements: The placement environment here is not yet developed, though there is an opportunity cell that handles all this, which is also quite new. Moreover, most students after graduation from here pursue Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies, and for these, IISER Mohali provides good exposure and ample opportunities.

IISER Mohali 2024 glimpses.

Placements: Placements are very low and often low package if available. Usually data science minors may opt for placements. Most people opt for PhDs after BS-MS. Since it is not a professional course, there's flexibility in choosing careers. Some may even go for corporate jobs or government jobs unrelated to their topic.

A good all rounder institute, and one of the best places to pursue research in India.

Placements: IISER Mohali doesn't have placements like typical engineering colleges. It is a research institute, and hence students opt to pursue higher education instead, I. e. PhDs. There are no packages offered but students wishing to work in the industry find jobs in R&D departments of companies. Many students wish to work as professors and go into education. You have the option to take a BS exist as well, without completing the whole BSMS course. Internships are provided to pursue research within the co...

College has good infrastructure and good academics.

Placements: There is a placement cell in our college and they provide training, and placement assistance also. Top recruiters' names that visit our college are Cognizant, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. Last year the highest package was 15 LPA and the average package was 8 LPA. In the final year, the college provides 3-4 months internships and around 80% of students got internships from college.
